Having used this great monitor for 2 weeks, I stay up late every night watching Netflix, AppleTV, etc. It's bad for your health.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😏
That means it’s great
amazing i need to get 10 from this
Yeah but ehh who cares
The Taycan looks sick with that RGB lighting vibe going on. Sorry that was my takeaway today 😂
You should review this as you own both a ps5 and sx and swap them out with a monitor and the big lg tv often

Hello Spawn 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Perfect price point, I would pay even more for 120 hz. I’m getting this display as soon as possible.
Monitor its 60hz Max..waste Of money if you buy
@@GRIEFER-I lol it really is 60 hz is ass when samsung has 360hz panels
No vesa mount option ruined it for me!!! 😩
If this was 120hz I would of bought it rn lol
HDMI 2.1 and 120Hz would make it THE BEST casual monitor-tv.
This thing looks unreal.. I could see myself using this in so many different situations. I have my laptop on a pretty large desk as a main work station as well as entertainment station and I think there are many people nowadays with that setup. A regular monititor attached to that was always pretty nice but it doesnt replace my tv. This manages to reduce the amount of gadgets I need to use, which is great.
By buying more gadgets ? Lmao right that really does reduce the amount of gadgets you need to use . By buying a second monitor for a device that already has a monitor 😂
@@KXJD_ Laptop monitors obviously are a lot smaller , and most of the time they aren't as good as a standalone monitor. Having a portable workstation that you can carry anywhere and a multipurpose monitor-tv hybrid definitely SAVES alot of money instead of buying a pc, a monitor, a tv, and a creator level laptop that had a great display for outdoor use.
Yup I'm in the same boat, set up my office in our guest bedroom, so monitor by day and guest TV by night, can't go wrong.
Buy any samsung smart tv, it does the same without the webcam part. I really don't understand this.
I use my Samsung TV with airplay, it has built in Netflix, browser etc., I can use my phone/tablet as a mouse + keyboard.
I don't understand what's new. Someone please explain.
Also I had a pendrive in my router to watch movies from there, but it's easier to use plex if you don't need 4K...
@@eyeles I get what you're saying but it's the same reason some (not all) people don't buy a PC monitor to use as a TV or a TV to use as a PC monitor, it's the little things. Like a TV usually doesn't include a web cam. Sure you can buy an external web cam and hook you computer up to your TV and plug it into the USB port but this magnetic detachable design is just more streamlined. Unlike most PC monitors this comes with a TV remote. It's lighter and more portable than most TV sets. It has a matte finish whereas most TV's come with a glossy finish. Matte finish is usually reserved for PC monitors. It has built-in voice assistant which most PC monitors don't have. It has preinstalled video conferencing software that a PC monitor or TV don't have. It's basically a TV/PC monitor/Computer all in one.
Straight from their website, these are things you can't do on a Television set without plugging it into a computer:
"Experience PC-less. Browse the web, edit documents and work on projects, all without the need for a separate PC. With new Workmode, you can also remotely access another PC, use Microsoft 365 programs and even connect to Samsung mobile devices with Samsung DeX for seamless working".
This is an incredible monitor.
Until you actually use, it might be a different story, it's the typical Samsung product, always below your expections.
@@lumpython5351 haha exactly how i feel
@@lumpython5351 Used it for a week now, no issues at all.
@@mariiiioh It says 4k monitor but that only for cable input and video streaming, however, it only has 1080p when connect wirelessly, remote desktop in both VNC and RDP. the colour accuracy is below average, Of course it has no issue if your standard is just it can display.
@@lumpython5351 also the resolution (137 ppi vs the Studio’s 218 ppi) is quite a drop comparatively.
I like this a lot. I used to use a 32" TV as my monitor for 2nd monitor my MBP and it was a great combination, but this being 4K will be even better.
Does using a TV as a monitor hurt your eyes? Compared to monitor?
@@knightofwind2929 depends on your need.
Since you usually watch tvs from further away, they can get away with lower resolutions.
TVs also usually don't support many monitor specific standards like display port, usb-c power delivery, low response times, high refresh rate and so on. All of that is basically unnecessary on a TV, but may be useful on a monitor.
@@knightofwind2929 I tried a 4k 32 inch TV as a monitor and it was horrendous with the PPi. Excel was unusable. This monitor is crystal clear for both fine lines on excel and Netflix.
@@mariiiioh others are saying the color accuracy isn't good. I mostly only use my monitor for work, browsing. Browsing includes everything so, I want to have good viewing experience with CZcams, streaming. Don't know what to pick. I'm okay with higher priced models
Dude 4K at that size is horrible compared to a MBP display. You need 6k res at 32 inches just like the pro xdr display
That thin line we used to know between TVs, monitors and “all-in-one” computers is becoming thinner everyday
Dang. This is what I was hoping Apple was gonna do with the Studio Display. What a great option at the price point!
When you think about how slim and fanless the MacBook Air is. Then you set this monitor next to the iMac.
I can’t help but wonder why apple didn’t make the iMac exactly like this monitor and just slap the base of a MacBook Air on the back.
You could call me an apple “sheep” (more of a fan of their products I recognize when they mess up) but since the introduction of the new iMac I knew it wasn’t it.
It seems like every decision about the iMac was the wrong one. The chin, the colors they choose to offer, the white bezels, the size, and the fact it’s not high adjustable.
I can buy this monitor and a Mac mini for about the same price if not cheaper then the iMac.
And don’t even get me started on new studio display and computer.
@Garrison Ford Ah, thanks! Don't know if I even have an app that sends telegrams. :D
I don't understand, I have a large samsung TV with nearly the same remote, menus and everything. This is just a 32" TV with bs marketing and a webcam...
I use airplay many times, I use the built in browser, so I have absolutely no clue what's the innovation here.
And
that shaking in 12:20 tells every thing
@@eyeles the price
that monitor is a great product, i love when companies actually try to put useful features into their devices, and Samsung went all out on this one
I hope they make a better version of this, I would like oled 120hz, it would be perfect close to perfect.
samsung is currently accused to fake the colours on QOLED where they try to fool all experts and users to think the panel tech is good. The experts get accurate colour on industry standardised test window sizes where the TV switches to the accurate mode and in normal use it boosts colours where creators intend gets so far off the intention so that unhighlighted objects are now in the frontground. It is sad because THIS uses Filmmakermode. I can not wait for 42" inch OLEDS but own a 48" and pixels are invisible from an arms lenght
Would be nice especially with better panel response time and like 800 nits brightness on SDR and HDR.
And it would be nice for gaming to
They could've but they probably wanted to keep the price lower
Then for that, we’d need no other Monitor in 20-30 years! 😍😍😇
THanks for the video, interrested in this setup! Kind of blurry today on the closeups of the camera.
Its actually decently priced- I'm shocked- Might need to grab this beauty!
Love the look, size, and functionality of this monitor! I picked up the Dell U4320Q for the same price. The only reason I didn't get the M8 is: it wasn't out. Bummer. Still, no complaints. I love my Dell. Glad there are options out there that doesn't force one to get the puny, overpriced Studio Display, even if it's 5K. Were the latter 32" I MIGHT'VE been tempted. Anyway, thanks for the great review!
A very cool monitor and a wonderful and accurate description. Thank you for the efforts made.
So I didn't win anything.?
Can someone answer me please?
would love to see the use of this monitor for streaming
Your quality is improving day by day cuh ❤️
Now this is an unboxing back to basics I like 👍🏾
I have the M7 32". I love it, its perfect except for missing the webcam which this has. Great monitor!
How's the crispness of the screen? Is it comparable to Retina display? :)
Always fun to have to assemble your monitors when you unbox them.
Really good monitor, looks like something to consider if you are upgrading
I’m seriously considering this with my Mac Mini 🖥 now…very impressive
He: explaining about the product
Me : thinking how much horse power DOES that Porsche have in the background.
It has no engine
Its just made out of paper for display
0 horsepower
Wow, this smart monitor is definitely the thing I am eager to buy in the nearest future
i bought 1 curved 32" 4k samsumg UR59C and loved it so much i got a second, now they're both on mounts and its the best computer upgrade I've ever given to myself....and its docked to a surface tablet feeding 4k to both screens...works great!!!
this would be very useful for teachers that teach thru zoom calls

I have been looking at this monitor for weeks now and it would be a nice addition to my desk, that it has airplay is also a plus. If I were to use it with my MacBook Pro 16" there are view options I can think of that would be helpful as I use an older 32" LG monitor. But do I really need the TV stuff in there is the bigger question. Also this screen is non reflective, compared to the M7 that is a bonus. The M7 does however have a USB hub and is being dumped on the market (CAD $450 - 500). If this M8 had an HDMI 2.1 and could display my consoles at 120Hz it would be a game changer (literally).
This is perfect, but they should do other dimensions as well. I actually work on a 49" tv-screen, but having a 49" screen-tv as this one, adjustable and with the camera, oh my! But 32" for a tv are too little.
Love it! Samsung really thought this product out and delivered. Definitely interested in ordering!
You know what? They could've probably gotten away with doing a camera module similar to this one on their biggest tab 8 whatever it's called. Better than the notch.
You got the best studio view meennn. The car in the back.... Soo cool. The rgb lighting....
The analysis is very professional, I wish you better and better!
I kinda wanted this before. Now? I have to have this. Thanks, Lew.
Quite impressive work from Samsung 🥳 the only thing has to done is camera quality upgraded🥺👊🏼
Best part about this video is Lew analyzing the promo photos from Samsung at the beginning. Lol
Hey Lew just bought one on Black Friday deal! Do I still need chromecast? Which speaker setup is best?
Gotta say the price of the M8 is very compelling - 700 bucks for 4K 32 inch is a good deal.
I love that you don't need a cable to use the display with a Macbook.
Is it really when a 55” 120hz C1 is $1100 and a 48” 120hz is $999. Both likely destroying this in picture quality
@@blueversace4447 monitors have different display types to cater for text on a computer screen. Also, some people don't have alot of space/dont want for that size of a TV. It is good that they both co-exist so people can get what suits themselves best.
@@GC9exe the LG’s display 4:4:4 chrome just fine with their PC mode. Yes you have a point about size, but that doesn’t make this display not overpriced.
M7, same specs, half of price.
It’s already available for 450€ where I live. Very attractive pricing indeed.
Just ordered 1 thank you
I would really like to see this concept implemented on a 120hz 4k 49” ultra wide. If it had Google assistant or was made by a brand other than Samsung it would be even better yet.
looks amazing but do you have to do the airplay code every time or will it recognise the device?
As an apple user slowly transitioning away from it but still looking for that Apple “look”, I ordered this so quickly I can’t wait till it comes in. Unfortunately my first shipment came with a scuffed display frame so I had to send it back. Very inconvenient but Samsung worked with me as best as I could and got it picked up from my home by fed ex. Hopefully nothing will go wrong for the next shipment and I can try this out.
I'm impressed. I would get this over the Studio Display if only the screen was more color accurate, pixel dense and brighter. It's pretty perfect for college students. They should make the same thing but with the features I just mentioned.

Does this have any scaling issues with a Mac? How does the quality compare to an Apple retina display?
They should sell laptops w that camera option just like that. Not sure how hard that may be to do but it looks like a very good design.
Wait, I have a type c port on my Samsung laptop, this would work perfectly for it since it’s a 13 inch laptop, ima definitely get this once I get the money😁
Remotes shouldn't have Netflix or Hulu buttons, it should have custom buttons that you can program yourself
Sadly, I'm closing my store next month. But this monitor just like that is exactly what I would like to put on the wall to show pictures of my products and what not, and then mirror my display to the costumers so that they can see they order as I make it. That pink color is also perfectly in brand for me. I absolutely love this, and would totally buy it if I wasn't closing
Just stay open. Stop being silly and stay open. Why be sad and closed?
It is a top-the-notch type of thing. I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to connect an external hd to the monitor in order to do only office work, but then, turn on the pc for some content creation and the pc will still able the recognize the hardrive via some kind of pass-through usb cable?
2) If I would prefer to use on Film Maker mode with keep the gaming mode on auto, will it be able to recognize if I am gaming or using Premiere?
Thanks a lot!
Samsung : stuffs everything into one package and still prices it reasonably
Apple : lotta money for the monitor, and even more money for the stand, the cable, and a piece of cloth
Because it’s just a monitor, did you not listen, the Apple product is a whole computer…
@@Zeeangelofdeath what does it being a whole computer got to do with the pricing of a stand and a piece of cloth?
This is such a great monitor and i love what they are doing with it but i am really missing 2 basic HDMI 2 Slots.
Just get a adapter
This thing is nice and price looks ok too. I been trying to get a little setup for myself and this could work to start since I don’t need super fancy things too start.
Congratulations you are lucky to be selected among my shortlisted winner's 👆
2:43 I love how on the image, the monitor shows AppleTV+ 😂
Just casually flexing the porsche 😂😂 LOL
It’s such a bummer that they didn’t provide VESA mount capability on this monitor. That is the dealbreaker for my particular use case.
I got the m7 monitor from Samsung and I love it. This would be a cool upgrade.
Awesome review as per usual, i don't mind this as an alternative
WOW! it comes with a removable power cable. Now thats smart, unlike other monitors ... 🍎
If they are still selling the Samsung M7 monitor, I think thats an even better value. I bought the M7 4k 32 inch smart monitor last march and have been really happy with it. Aside from the fresh new colours, height adjustable stand and the addition of a removable webcam, I dont see much that is different. And I think I paid close to half the cost for that 32 inch monitor. This one is nice for sure, but if you're not 100% sold on the design and look, a M7 might be a better fit for you.
Through various promotions I got the M8 for under two bills.
Currently waiting for mine to get here! Out for delivery today I'm so excited!
How do you like the monitor/tv?
@@SlamboSVV using it mostly as a smart TV at the moment and it works so nice as that. Can't really say how it fairs as a computer seeing as I have yet to by the things that would make it run as a computer😅.
The camera could have been better.. but the cute little dot above the monitor is super dope..
VESA compatibily would've been so nice. Also I might prefer IPS panel, and much better speakers, potentially higher refresh rate anything above 60hz. I would've paid extra $100 for all of these. I don't think I'm asking too much 🤗
It is VESA compatible through an included accessory plate.
Been using the Samsung Monitor M8 myself, love all the products of Samsung. Love from South Korea🇰🇷🇰🇷. I would definitely recommend this to others, user experience is great and the attachable camera is greattt. That’s why I love using Samsung Products
Nah, Scamsung just steals ideas and their products are of poor quality and have no resale value.
How does the pixel DPI look? Sharp enough on text, desktop etc when connected with the MacBook Pro?
I’ve been searching for something like this. Perfect size
Hilarious - “so I’m just going to plonk this down on the coffee table because I live in more of a nomadic lifestyle” - LMAO
Lew this is awesome what we need is just an awesome monitor at this affordable price where Samsung created this monitor keeping in mind for every aspects the user wants to use this. The tilt, remote control, smart tv feature with smart mirroring and obviously innovative magnetic webcam module which every brand must introduce from now on. Do bring this kind of videos more.
Did you USBc cable actually work and deliver higher res than over wifi? Any handshake issues?
Can we use another remote if we don’t have Netflix or any of the services on there
I had the M7, sold it recently, it was just too dim for me.. hopefully the brightness is better, if it is I’ll definitely cop
400nits significantly brighter than M7.
3000:1 contrast. So less bright than 1600USD Studio display but significantly better contrast (Studio display is like 1100:1).
@@DeepteshLovesTECH noted! Thanks
I saw the M8 personally at one event here in Dubai, I could say the M8 panel is way more better ng M7
4K 32" is also awesome for productivity with a PC, that's basically like having 4x 15" 1080p monitors at 100% scaling
32 is too large i tried it

Brilliant design work from Samsung. They are doing such great work.
I'm waiting for qd oled version 👍
With the macbook pro connection, can you use the m8 as an extended screen so you can use both monitors simultaneously or is there only the mirroring option?
Does the camera come with it? Ive tried to find out on the Samsung UK website, but i cant find the information.
For a video that's 21 mins long, he didn't start out excited 😆, but the Samsung monitor grew on him, especially the camera. 😍
A lot of the reviewers are like that. They are all apple fanboys. They talk about Samsung products with little enthusiasm. But deep down they know the product is awesome. They would be livid with excitement if it was apple to came out with this. They secretly wish apple had all these features in their studio display 🤣
@@novadon4729 Lee isn't an Apple fanboy

I think this is my next monitor Thanks for the nice review.
I use a earlier version of this monitor without the colors the M7
Im grateful this version came out and that they targeted apple users because of it (see colors), they fixed the no USB C audio issue on the M7 with a firmware update 2 weeks back.
before that, when I updated my Mac to os 12 Monterey from os 11.x, the audio was gone for a couple of months lol.
My on,y question is how color accurate is it? As a photographer/ videographer, color accuracy is the most important factor. Other than that this thing looks amazing. So much better value than the studio display
It’s a studio monitor that is very color accurate
It's a matte screen, so that kind of messes with the color accuracy a little bit
Can you review a Bluetooth speaker?
@1:55 what do you mean by a tv with a monitor built in, all TVs have HDMI ports which means they can be used as monitor as well
You didn’t mention if the USBc cable also transfers the MacBook monitor signal or do you have to rely just on AirPlay which of course will always have a small delay
i want one😭 i was worried if it would affect me since i currently use ios but im glad samsung considered us :)
Non-white colors are on sale for $400 on the Samsung website.
This is a perfect example of Apple and Samsung playing fair. Apple could have done this with their new monitor but either chose not to or Samsung told them they had to wait so samsung could sell their stuff easier. If I remember right the Apple monitor was 5k not 4k so comparing these two makes sense but really is not fair. The xdr is 32 inches but way more but 8k panels are also outrageous and the cheap ones look like 20hz which makes it a nice picture frame. 4K panels are way cheaper to manufacture. It’s nice seeing Apple and Samsung getting along!
Or it's just the graces of competition.
6k!
Any proof of that, or is that just what you want to believe for some odd reason.
true
this samsung monitor is absolute garbage like all Pc monitors, they all are worse then even a 20 years old Apple Monitor for the simple reason that they use that stupid "anti glare" coating which ruins every stat they oh so much like to talk about...
it's meaningless when you ruin it with this nonsense antiglare.
a glaring clean glass is night and day bettery than any refresh rate, color accuracy, brightness, resolution, you name it.
it is all just marketing nonsense.
and the stand is a joke, but thats a always a given aswell.
so bad, not even funny
Thanks for the video!! I just bought one and I LOVE this thing! I just want to watch my movies and Netflix during my leisure time and AirPlay to work wirelessly with my monitor. What else can I ask and who needs to spend $1600 for a monitor when you can find something like this; I am not into 5K or fancy refresh rate. 4K and 60Hz is perfectly fine! A great informative video clip. Thank you, again!
