Hey, I just got my watch today. But when i try to set a reminder with google assistant t searches for web results and when I want to make a call with google assistant it says: unable to obtain permissions. Even though I gave all the permissions. Any help?

So I have checked and its working great for me. I crosschecked with my smartphone also. Make sure the calibration of app is done initially properly. But there might be slight very slight error. Also I have heard that accuracy of location is higher on enabling wifi/or connected to phone

If it's only facer it's software issues. Reset watch. Make sure watch is up to date. Uninstall facer from playstore of watch. Then again install. Restart the watch. And continue. If it still faces issues please replace

Don't buy gen 6. In india it doesn't support gpay. Oppo watch also doesn't support gpay in india. Don't know about watch 4. But gw4 does have sameung pay
Please wait for 4-6 months for proper gpay support

I just updated my watch today and at first it didn't respond...
After that I reset my watch through the wear OS..
Then the google assistant glitch which you used is not working now...

First make sure you star favourite the contacts on your phone. Now map the bottom button to contacts on your watch. You can even customize your watch face to add a specific contact right there on watch face

I don't think it's a watch issue. It might be picking up your smartphone audio mic also due to some glitche.

How much time does it take to charge from 0 to 80? Please let me know as the claimed time is 30mins but my watch take around 70mins
Nevermind, saw your short video on charging. Don't you think it is slow. It took almost an hour to charge 80 percent. If you watch Mr. Mobile review he tested the watch and it does indeed charged 80per in 30mins. I think its an issue with the watch.
@@ntn814 Yes with subsequent charge cycles the speed has increased. Now around 35-40min for 80%. Also take into consideration that I kept the screen on and tapped in between to check. Also by the way I charged from a fast charging powerbank
for the first time i charged the watch with my pc. I knew it would be slow but did it anyway for comparison sake to see a non fast charging and fast charging. And the next time I charged it with 18w fast ac adapter. The result was same as if there is no fast charging. And for the second time I didn't kept the display on but checked on it every 5 to 10 mins.
I am also giving it some time and see if it improves but if it doesn't I might have to replace it.
@@ntn814 ya please do. But I would also ask you to set your expectations correct. Mostly what is advertised won't be true. Mostly it will be in real life around 10-20% more.
@@techindetail The main reason I went with fossil was its looks and charging speed. In all other aspects, galaxy watch 4 is on par with it or better. Even if I consider the deviations from what was promised, a 10-20% less charge or 10-20 mins more would have been fine. But more than an hour is going in galaxy watch territory. That doesn't justifies the purchase decision. Michael Fisher said in his review his unit was also not fast charging, so he got it replaced and the new one was fast charging as intended. Anyway I'll be testing it more. Let's hope for the best.

When first setup using wear os app on phone it will ask for sign in to mail. It will sync automatically
Whn I enable WiFi in setting it stays connected but whn I leave settings wifi gets disconnected ...

Not as of now. Atleast in fossil. But in galaxy watch 4 also gpay some issue. Instead but they have samsung pay. Please also cross check with the oppo watch if gpay is working

I listen to your video, Google itself is not on Gen 6 update, that's why you don't see anything Google. Google is not allowing it because of there Pixel watch system. I bought Gen 6 and was told to update the next date. Grant, you I have had gen 5 for two years. Given to my Nephew (whom I could not get it back to now) was happy when I was using the OS wear software, upgrade to Fossil OS wear, and lost Google as I stated, where I have Alex on my home stuff, was not happy to get it on my watch. No Google, To get google back I went back to the store and swapped watches (also my Gen 6 every 4 hour reset itself, wiped out my stuff I just ask Gen 6 to do. Happily, the store swaps the watch, so I am back with Google. Until I read that google assist., is in the new update, I will not update, yes, I liked the look but not having Google assist or google stuff. This is why google fit doesn't work, any part of google will not work on the update, hello... The kid is happy with Gen5 because he will not be able to update his software, lol. I will in a year when Google ok's google to be part of the update. Sorry, Alexa, you are ok with my home stuff... it doesn't even message I don't get how Alexa is good for Gen 6? over and out.
Galaxy watch 4 is better...fossil didn't live up to there claims
@@techindetail unfortunately I bought a gen 5, the screen cracked a little bit, gave it to my nephew, a gen 6 cost 150.00, My friend has a Samsung smartwatch 4, You're correct it does a lot more, I just unfortunately like a simple one even if it's a smartwatch, I'm sad that the Google isn't working on the news offer, but sooner or later I'll do like you say and get Samsung smartwatch, I'm just not sure about the new ones yet I like the one with the bezel. Yes that is sad, but within 6 months it will come with wear os 3 update. Even in galaxy watch 4 this is lacking but they have samsung pay

@@oyeluckyluckyoye1 Yes fossil has told that in quarter 1 of 2022 they will issue wear os update. The gpay works in other regions. As of now only 30 or so countries support on wear os 2. Hopefully this will get supported. Wear os 3 will solve many bugs, but gpay support can come before that too.

What Rubbish. OK Google will work and you do not have to uninstall Google Apps for the same. It is just that you need to grant permissions for microphone
For some people including me even after granting permission, it didn't work. If it worked for you without tinkering it's great to know.
