That is by far the most immaculate bike I’ve ever seen for 1300 where I live people want 1900-2700 for a all stock beat up yz250 you hit the jack pot u can make so much money alone off the spare parts and even the bike I would resell for around 2700$ that is amazing dude my most favorite bike u ever posted I’ve been watching for a while seen all the bikes but this one is my favorite I’m a Yamaha lover I only ride yamaha amazing 🤩

Same i have 1999 yz250 and it always fires up within 1-3 kicks and its been to the dunes many times but I maintain it well
That's cap my 82 starts in like 4 - 5 kicks

Sir Cartier my 67 305 scrambler starts first kick every time .
Sir Cartier not every bike is the same you need a tune up if it takes you more then 6 kicks on a cold start
You can make back your money on all those parts. If you sell them

@@Chieffg nope not clapped out check my channel if you dont believe. bike runs great, had 0 problems with it since i bought it. wheel, linkage, swing arm steering stems bearings all clean packed with grease, fresh front and rear tires, good mechanically sound engine with no leaks.

I don’t want to be rude like some of the ppl in the comments but that is not a fmf shorty it’s a fmf power core but the pipe is a fmf gold series so you knew that any lol I don’t want to be rude I just had to say that bc you still said it was a power core when you put it on the grass and you saw it said “powercore” but any ways not a big deal. Now that's a good running bike that's how you know the carburetor is adjusted perfect and the reeds are good God I love first kick starts
When you first started it up I heard a crazy rattle...closer look and it was the kick start hitting the expansion chamber.
I hope that ain't stolen just seems too good to be true especially with all the extra parts and upgrades it's just weird
Nope not stolen. Previous owner just takes pride in what owns and like adding the accessories to make it his own. And Yes He is 6’6”.
New springs happen when ever someone revalves the suspension. Unless they weight like 140lbs. The suspension upgrade is the number one mod on the bike. Probably $750+ job

My dad just traded me a super nice 96 yz250 for my 83 cr250. We've been collecting for 30 years and have over 50 bikes but this 96 has been my favorite to play with. My first race bike was a 1974 cr125 so I can see I've seen some different bikes

Same shit here in my area in PA. Facebook market place and all these offer up type apps absolutely destrpyed the pre-owned market.
Back in the day, you could find good deals any day of the week on Craigslist or the local weekly buy/sell magazine called the papershop.
Now its nothing but overpriced junk because of people checking the prices on the marketplace other people are selling their bikes for, but not taking condition or age into consideration....So its loaded with 1990's bikes that are blown up and apart in boxes for $1500+..Its insanity
First you should have cash in hand (may not have time to go to bank) I've bought bikes over the phone on my lunch break and then picked them up after work. These bikes rarely sell for the asking price and I have picked some up for less than half the asking price. Last you need to be first in line so set your phone for alerts on anything new hitting the market.

If the person you bought it from was 6'6" probably in the neighborhood of 250ish. Probably need to switch springs back in forks and rear to get the correct sag for your weight. Maybe worth holding on to them for the next buyer.

I have a super nice 98 yz 250.. It flat rips. It rips from right off the bottom and pulls forever.
You got very lucky, i would keep. Also you don,t have to pull back on the handlebars to lift the front end, just give it a little more throttle & sit back a little on the seat.
I had a '98 YZ250 with an FMF fatty, ran great but didn't have anywhere really to ride it!
