C'mon guys!!!!!!!!!!!! That's almost 500 bucks!
80 dollars is the kit version, from china warehouse. USA warehouse pnp 92 dollars but SOLD OUT.
Now its 64 dollars if you do not use the link, does not matter it is still sold out!
@D B I completely agreed. A Mini Apprentice S 1.2m RTF (w/ SAFE & Panic Recovery) for $249 with Transmitter, Receiver, Lipo battery and lipo charger. And parts are probably available at your local hobby store. Sorry, RC Saylors 😒
Thanks guys on an excellent budget plane week . I thought all the planes you reviewed were grate . I liked the second plane red one the black one and this plane as well . I have to wait till i rebuild my economy before I venture in though.lol thanks for the week guys cheers!
Left hand circles, and Nate having to enter knife edge a certain way...these are SOLID truths that most others can identify with! I've been flying on and off for 20 years. My preferred way to land is to turn left on final! Yes, I can turn right, and I can approach and turn final from the right - but I'm MOST comfortable turning left on final and approaching from my left to my right. Knife edge? Yes I can knife edge - but I typically only knife edge on my right to left pass in front of me, and with left aileron and right rudder. Rarely do I even try right aileron/left rudder. Anyway - thank you Nate & Abby for a fun week of Under $100 planes.
I actually flew my first rc plane today! Left it in beginner mode.Threw it and away I flew. I flew for 5 or so minutes with no crashes.Let my brother fly it and crashed right into a building.Did not do any damage at all. Then he flew it for a few minutes and landed. Then I flew for a few more minutes. It was AWESOME!!! I am HOOKED for sure!! (eashine mini mustang) It was windy and winter with about a foot of snow. so plenty soft but really cold!
I just got the mini mustang as well, it's also my first plane. By the second battery I moved to intermediate. It is an absolute blast to fly. I too am HOOKED! Happy flying!
@@robsrcinsanity1220 Hey man thanks! Next time I fly it I will use intermediate mode next time I fly. I am hooked soo bad already. I will be getting a bigger and better plane in the close future. This one is cool, but gets kinda hard to see pretty quick.Happy flying to you, and hope you the best!!
When I got hooked, I went to Dollar Tree, bought a $1 foam poster board and built a plane from scratch - ordered all the parts online. The wingspan was 30 inches - width of the poster board. Total cost of plane was around $100 with all electronics including radio transmitter, receiver and battery. The most surprising part is that the plane flew at all - still my favorite plane.
Best part...cinematic scenes of the plane by the drone.
Oooo. This looks like the winner overall... I'm very tempted to spring for it.. but I'm not sure how it will hold up in a proper crash! 😉😉. Seems like Nate only crashes the micro trail heavy planes. Great drone footage also! Maybe Abby can get the FPV footage soon.. 🥳🥳
$80 ( 80 USD ) two years ago. Now, with shocking inflation, it's twice the cost at $160 ( 160 USD ) !
Thanks for the videos. I have learned (still learning) strictly from your content. First plane in the air last weekend, eachine p-51d, and absolutely love it! Keep it going because it really does help us newbies with no friends in the hobby.
Amazing Job,you two.
Thank you so much for putting video collection of Cheap Planes!!!
And, everything you put out all year long.
Very nice size plane!! Much easier to see when flying!! Thanks again so much for doing a budget week!!
Beautiful sunset !! Nice job on the video. Thanks.
WOW! WOW!! AWESOME plane!! You put my words right in your mouths!! I sooo TOTALLY AGREE with everything you said!! GREAT production week!! Thanks Saylors!! 💟👍😘
"Not your first plane." Well, that knocks it off the list for me 😋. It looks like the best performance of the week! I vote for a under $150 trainer plane week for us noobs. Great video 👍
The plane mite coast much but the receiver and a servos are going to cost you four times the amount than the plane it's always a catch
@@andrewszubelak8308 if its pnp it'll have everything but the radio gear and battery
Wow, that was surprising for the price. Of course the drone footage is always enjoyable. Nate was nearly full Bob Ross narration on this one, love it when he does that!
Abby 👍👍👍what a great size for the price with astounding performance. I didn't think it would do half that well. Great find!
Another great drone chance. And at about 9:40. Great sunset pic. Once again a great video. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.
Love all your vids. So informative and fun to watch. I’m thinking of retiring soon and need a hobby. You two have certainly given me enough motivation to try flying.
Great job abby your doing so well flying..keep it up .. my favorite is the 2nd plane of the week.
Loving this guys. Been an awesome week. Thanks for the entertainment! ✈️👍😊
That is an awesome plane! I'm just getting into rc aircraft, and I think this one would be a great first plane. I love the size of it, and it's so maneuverable, and realistic looking!
Liked that air to air video mixed with the ground videos. This looks like a great plane for the price.
Love the looks of that plane
Great job with the fpv Nate..great job abby,
Gr8 review, Thanks Abby & Nate. Like the race drone footage too
Thanks a lot Will! Really appreciate that :-)
-Nate
Awesome plane and flying, cool drone shots
Smooth and nice fly 🚀✌️
This is a super cool plane! Great flite Abby! I'm still looking for an everyday trainer park flyer.
Another great video! Solid airplane for the money.
Wow,awesome plane for the price, cool video Abby and Nate.
Once again, Two thumbs up!!!
Great job guys l like that plane ✈️ enjoy watching y’all guys 👍
Great video as always. I know we are all in strange times. Would love to see the trainstar ascent I think its 747-8, its similar to this but like a Bush plane. Stay safe
I like this one. Sweet! But wait, we need 1 more plane. This was #6. We need 7 planes. One more plane, one more plane! 👏👏👏
Awesome review guys
Nice job Nate, just fly the plane ! wish you didn't have to be so worried about Abby barking at you for the way your flying lol
Looked like a fun flyer!!!!
I love this plane! My favourite non-edf. It's very easy to extend it as you progress.
Fly it on stock configuration until you get comfortable with it. Then you can make a few simple/cheap modifications:
- replace the ESC with a 30amp one
- replace the stock 8/4 propeller with 7/4. Alternatively just cut half an inch from both ends from the stock one - tested, works fine ;)
This will convert it to a 4S plane and you will not burn out anything. You will have A LOT more power - you will be able to go from slow flying to vertical climb on the spot.
- adjust the physical servo throws to the max on both ends and use 20% expo on your transmitter.
This with make it 50% more agile - turning radius will be like 3 meters.
Combined, it will turn it from a trainer into an aerobatic plane - that will be fun to fly at any skill level!
Raise the roof. That is my favorite one so far
I ordered the RTF version of this on Amazon (Ex Hobby is out of stock and Banggood is asking for some stupidly expensive shipping cost...) I hope that I will be able to swap out the batteries so I can fly it longer. I liked E-flite but the fear of destroying the fuselage is what prevents me from getting one. I also have the Mini Apprentice coming in soon. It looks like I'll keep coming to you guys for future potential planes.
Very cool plane! I still like the twin engine best!
soon you should do a whole inventory video of all the rc vehicles you have it would be cool to see
Awesome video thank you
$160 delivered to Canada. Not horrible at all! Thanks Sailors!!!!!!!
Nice landing
That's a nice "little" plane -- chase drone video is primo stuff as well!!! :-)
Really nice flyer! Abby, love that you are flying all these. I think though, that you almost have to consider RTF and PNP separately. Day 2's Volantex 4 channel was the best RTF, this one looks like the PNP winner to me.
Oh, and to keep honing her skills, keep her on the Valiant!
Now I am having a hard time choosing between this plane the Aeroscout S 1.1 and the Xk1200A any insight would be great . This plane seems to be a great flyer but would you choose it over the other two listed ?
Hi could you give me your suggestions on what I should look at for a race drone to chase my Rc planes also goggles I have transmitter DX8 Gen 2
A year later now $160 instead of $80 with
inflation
Pretty crazy, right!? It’s mind blowing 😬
I like this one.
A few questions.
Why would you say this is not for beginners?
Would this work with a Spectrum DXe?
What else do you need to purchase to get this in the air if said transmitter would work?
I am a beginner, Abby you are not you're getting to be very good. This was a great series thank you both very much! Race Drone footage has seriously improved day by day. Y'all please keep doing what you are doing your enthusiasm is part of what has inspired my entry into this amazing hobby. Living in the Mountains of Maine I still haven't had the opportunity to fly yet, my simulator will be worn out by Spring thaw though.
Would love to see a review of the E-flite Air Tractor 1.5m the only video of it I've found is by Horizon. I used to live in a farm community and loved watching the full-sized version in action.
Have you ever done a video on your race drone? I'd love to see that. Also, what do you recommend as a first drone? Thx
Well you weren't consistent all week, you didn't CRASH this plane,CRASH.🤣🤣😊😊. Definitely a good looking plane. Flew very well. Both of ya'll. Yes Abby keep flying this plane >> OFTEN
I love this plane!!!
Michael Neary Help me get to 1 million subsribers with no videos!
I like my trainstar ascent it has a 55inch wing clip in wings 4 channel and plastic fuse, Abby could fly it very easy . It can go fast or slow .
what transmitter do you recommend for a first time flyer
Nice video
My wishlist just keeps getting longer and longer 😂
This would be great with a lemonRX stabilizer plus.
The chase drone is great. Keep up the great videos guys.
The lemon stab+ is a great RX/FC. I have one in a small delta wing and it's been awesome.
@@learningtocrash4030 I just ordered one for my printed plane. I'm glad to hear they work well. I can't wait to get it set up.
@@Burnsalmighty here's a video of the plane. I have some pictures at the end showing how it's mounted.
czcams.com/video/ChdO2JeYaCQ/video.html
Great work again Saylors! We’re gonna need you to come up with some sort of secret signal for the good deals though. The price is already up to $94 (the Saylor effect again)! Stock will probably be depleted by morning. You two are awesome!
Yup, shows sold out for me :(
How 'bout next time you email me before you post the video so I can get one before the price goes up and they sell out 😂
Great video. Love hearing the enthusiasm in your voices. I just put together my first plane on your advice ; a carbon Cub S+. I can't wait to fly it !
This is just a color change to the original trainstar exchange. Which is sweet for me because my 6 year old trainstar needs parts!
Wow its cool...
What do you mean does it come with the battery controller and the plane in it?
I'm thinking about this plane want to know if you have done a review on FMS EZ V4 trainer
Yeah good Job to you both. I preferred this 1 and the black one from yesterday because of its looks. But the size of this is way cooler. Good Job 👍😉
This is a great sized plane, especially for the money 💵👍 And so much easier to see 😎 Thanks a lot for tuning in!!
-Nate ⚓
Please help. I bought this plane thinking it was PNP. It's only a kit. No electronics at all. No servos, esc, or receiver. I just bought a Spektrum DX8. What do I need to buy to bind this plane to my new radio? I'm just coming back to this hobby after 35 years. Can you give me links of what I need to buy. Thanks!! Love your channel.
Thank you for your advice and wonderful videos. I have a P51 that Nate has and also bought a Horizon Hobby Sport Cub S2. Wish I would have bought the last Plane you two reviewed as it was available when I was on there sight. After two minutes to get my credit card they were gone. Love what you two do for the hobby! Do you think that we are in a battle for our sport, as far as the FAA goes? Thanks again
I think they will require some type of license to fly. Like you do with a professional drone like a dji mavic pro. I think it is a way to track who is flying and make more money selling licenses. I don't think flying will be banned completely but we will see.
The prices went up on this after your video. It's now $95 and it's also sold out for the US
Great to see you maiden a plane in my collection and I have yet to maiden mine, its assembled and I am adding a fixed wing gyro, I am curious to see if you have a good flight at 2S and 3S with it.
Only flew ours on 3S in this video 😃 Thanks a lot for tuning in 👍⚓😎
-Nate
Great first plane if you have someone to buddy box with.
Agreed 👍 Thanks for tuning in! ⚓😎
-Nate
What drone are you using for the chase "plane"?
I have several Volantex RC blow mold fuse models. I love the plastic fuses, more so than the foam. You guys must help sell these planes, every time I look up the link, they are Sold Out!
Can you do a video on how to sync a radio to one of these? My Son is ready for something like this but i don’t know how to sync a transmitter. Thnx
What's the race drone your flying?
sir nathan and maam abbby can u make a video on setting this rc plane?
im your fan from philippines
You have gotten way better at fpv drone following. And I know that is what you are most excited about. Love this channel. Thank you both! And Abby...You are improving faster and faster every episode. GRATS! It is 94 bucks as of this comment.
Funny plane 😉
Man my mini trainstar volantex rear flap is stuck how do you fix that
Nice ya!
Is this hobby grade, also it looks awsom
What is the drone doing the aerial shots?
I would agree, this is the best value plane.. the black plane was very unique and cool looking plane.. I would like both!
Hey guys, I appreciate the content! Just wanted to suggest you guys try out the new ft pnp planes. I know you like Flitetest, and the new Cessna and Beaver are really good looking airplanes! Keep up the good work guys!
Hello! Yes, we really do like Flite Test, have purchased their kits before, and greatly appreciate what they are doing for the hobby. However we do not want to say bad things about those guys, and if we feature their new PNP planes on our channel, we MUST remain honest and truthful about our experience.. we do not want to say bad things about them, so most likely wont be featuring their new planes on our channel.
@@TheRcSaylors Thanks for the reply! I totally get that, but what I can see, there's nothing bad to say about them... ;) However, I know your values and really really appreciate how you give honest reviews - I can always trust you guys and really find your content useful in many aspects. That being said, if you make it to flitefest Ohio this year, maybe I can convince you to get some after flying mine. I'm looking into getting the beaver or waiting until the freedom fox comes out.
Have a good evening!
TheRcSaylors Maybe you would be helping Flitetest grow by doing reviews on their kits. I’d be interested to see what you all think. I love their videos!
Early squad where you guys at (:
Here!👍⚓👍
Make a few videos about drones
How sturdy is the wire landing gear and wheels? I may put my kids up on it, they've buddy boxed a couple of my planes
I crashed mine probably over 100 times (literally every landing) before they finally broke. The gear is extremely durable for being a wire style
I’ve got to invest in a transmitter so I can get into planes
Like, super. I have the same plane. (I'm from Russia)
Where do I get one
$159.99 now
true
Is it ok to remove the main wing each time and screw it on at the field or do you think that the pilot holes will wear out? Thank you for your help!
@@mathewwebb522 thank you for the help my friend at least you responded
I've only flown helicopters! Minor 3D experience over there; think I could hop straight into planes with this?
Absolutely. Why not try something new. Will take some getting used to
Please help. I'm not new to this hobby, but it's been a good long while, maybe twenty five years. I bought this trainer and a Spektrum Spektrum DX8 Transmitter 8-Channel 2.4GHz DSMX RC Radio Gen 2 Mode 2. What receiver should I buy? I'm sure the Tactic one won't be compatible, right? Thanks! Love your channel and your vids!
Is this the one that I can use SAFE Mode with? Spektrum AR636 6-Channel AS3X Sport Receiver for DSM2/DSMX Transmitter and Module Systems
would be tough for a beginner to fly w/o safe stabalization
Im curious as to how much space it takes to land. Im worried my backyard doesn't have enough space for it to take off (my backyard is kinda large, but I dunno if it's enough)
I hand launch mine for these reasons.
the thumbnail makes it look so small but looking at the video, it’s originally big.
Proof you kids are popular, after your review that plane is up to $110.00.
*Dance the Skies*
Nice plane. It's sold out on Banggood. For the money, wow , what a bargain. 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏⚓😀
on your bangood link is written: - [Great For Beginner] 4 channel remote control airplane, built in 6 Axis gyro system super easy to fly even if you are a beginner.( 6 Axis gyro is combined with receiver, only included in RTF version). So what receiver do I need to buy ?
Sorry for the posters incompetent behaviour on this vid. I'm highly disgusted myself too. This plane right now has two options. Pnp /plug and play or kit version The kit version doesn't include any electronics where as the pnp doesn't include the transmitter and battery side of it
Hi Team Saylors. I am a subscriber and love the channel. Whenever I'm looking at my next plane I always check to see if you have done an article on it.
Anyhow, you say that this PnP is $80 but the link says that is the price of the kit. The PnP version is $110.
Grateful if you can clarify this please.
Thank you. Peter
Hello Peter! It was $80 just yesterday when this video was recorded for the PNP version. Looks like the price went up, but if you change the warehouse that should affect the price. Showing on my end from a U.S. warehouse for PNP version, still under $100. Hope this helps! 👍⚓😎
Many thanks for your reply. The problem is that I live in Samoa and Banggood only allows shipments to me from their China warehouse. I cannot ship their stuff from their USA warehouse . Peter
