- Willie, Sarah and their dog, Jack Spaniels, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving their suburban life and moving over the sea to 'Live The Skye Life'!
In this episode, the Skyelifers head out of the glen for a night of the 'High Life'!
We booked a night away and a meal as a belated birthday and anniversary celebration and, us being obsessed with history, where else would we choose to go other than the oldest inn on the island?!

I used to live there, great video, and lovely to see loch bay again. The Inn and Boathouse / Loch Bay restaurant brings back so many memories.
I miss that place so much.

What a lovely place - delicious-looking food and a very hospitable hostess who has excellent business acumen! I think her bookings will increase next year after this video - I now want to visit The Stein Inn!

The meal and hospitality makes a visit well worth it. It reminded me very much of a hotel overlooking Campbeltown bay where it was the owners sitting room that guests retired to after dinner and all the guests interacted with each other over drinks. It was so strange a few years later when I returned to the town as a Bank Manager and the owner was a customer and remembered me from that visit. Nothing beats West Coast hospitality and a dram or two helps no end.

Best wishes for the heart op. My husband's first anniversary of valve replacement is on Thursday and we're heading to Scotland for the first time in four years, very emotional after spending every holiday on Skye and in Shetland for many, many years.
Hello Sarah, Willie and Jack Spaniel. What a great pub to eat in and accommodate the three of you. Thoughtful of them to provide snacks and a toy for Jack. Love the Scottish word Slainte for cheers. Here in Wales, it is Iechyd Da, literally Good (Da) Health (Iechyd) in English usually pronounced as yacky da by non-speakers of Welsh.

I love your catch ups every week especially this one. Nice to see you both having some time away. That food looked 🤤 and although it was a bit pricy on some dishes, you don’t mind paying it as it’s going back to locals and you know it’s uber fresh. Jack Spaniels at the end was falling asleep 🥰

Stein Inn looks absolutely lovely! (Fun fact: "Stein" is also the German word for "stone". I wonder if there's an etymological connection?)
I love that they actually wanted you to film there and gave you a discount on top of it (plus treats and a gift for Jack!). It makes total sense, of course, especially given what Charlie said when you spoke to her: It's all about community. Your channel has grown so much and I'm sure you're inspiring plenty of people to come visit Skye (or to do so again), and so your videos are basically free advertising for the Inn. Everyone benefits. Though I do think the Inn could further benefit from some of Sarah's artwork ... ^^

The Inn looks very quirky and a great antidote to the bog standard “corporate” hotel. The Wet and Wild view would keep me amused for hours. You two have made it a must visit place.

My wife and I were also at the same inn, but only to see it and not staying. But it was also closed and was opening later in the day, which was too late for us. We did manage to poke our heads inside and make some good photos. So glad you made this movie. Love following your adventures. I would love to have a Jack Spaniel also.

When we were on Skye last August, we tried to get reservations there, but they were booked solid the few days we had available. We now know that next time we visit, we should books weeks in advance. Or not go in August. Lol

What a beautiful Inn, and the awesome looking food, that is where I would stay if I visited Skye. And btw I would be hanging out near or in the hotel and hopefully rainy weather which I 'love', you can call me crazy but that is a personal preference. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! What a nice inn. The owner is definitely a great chef, a good mom, very good looking and obviously a really, really nice person with a big positive aura. Congratulations 🎉 for finding such a place.
2) I always say: If a human being loves animals and is loved by animals, the person simply can't be bad. Animals are usually never wrong.
3) To me the name Stein Inn is a kind of funny coincidence. Because Stein means stone in German. My favourite mushrooms are Steinpilze = porcini (dark brown hats). On the second place and only a tiny bit behind, are Pfifferlinge = chanterelles. By the way: I would love to see/hear you saying Pfifferlinge! 😁 ;-)
4) I'm happy to see that you had such a great time after all the difficulties, especially Covid. By the way: Willie, please kindly allow me to suggest that you trim down the beard a lot. It makes you look much older and a tiny bit grumpy looking (because your facial expressions can't be seen completely). Thanks in advance for consideration. 😁 ;-)

I was introduced to your channel by a friend and I had to skip to episode 35 because in Sept 2022, we stayed in the Beachcomber Cottage and had dinner in the Stein Inn. We laughed and I still laugh about the glug glug water jug! I am now😘 homesick for Stein - it was stunningly beautiful weather when we were there.
I kept expecting Charlie to interrupt the interview with her cell phone, saying, "Bear with. Bear with..." 😂

We went to the Stein Inn in July this year for my partners 40th for her birthday meal. An amazing place, with great food and even better hospitality. Totally recommend this place! ❤️

Love your adventures and love what you both share. You both have a beautiful life in a dreamy location. I have always loved art and crafts. My husband can build anything too. He is definitely a handyman/Mr. Fixit. I love Jack Spaniel. We have a spoiled minipin. My siblings recently got our DNA done and we are all approx 50% Scottish. We love everything about Scotland. I live in Banner Elk, NC and their is alot Scottish Heritage here and we have the Highland Games twice a year up here in the mountains. My husband and I hope to get to the British Isles some day and hope to visit Scotland during that time.
