But first I have a burning question for you. My husband and I have a disagreement about this is it garbage disposal or garbage disposer???? He always says disposer. I say disposal. What do you think, leave a comment and let us know what you call it.
We show you how to clean your disposal with vinegar and baking soda. Then how to refresh it with lemon. While you're at it, clean that rubber part on your garbage disposal. If it comes out, put it in the dishwasher, otherwise use a microfiber cloth to get it out.
Once your disposal is all clean give your sink a quick wipe down with Force of Nature, our favorite nontoxic cleaner and Mr. Siga microfiber cloths.
Don't forget to clean that rubber splash guard either! I used a microfiber cloth and worked away on it. None of the methods we tested worked with chemicals or cleaners. You have to actually remove the stuff or your disposal will still stink! Use some Force of Nature or degreaser like Zeb and get all those germs and bacteria out of there!
We love sharing and learning simple ways to have a cleaner, easier life. So thanks for being here. If you liked this video consider subscribing and sharing it or even pinning it. That encourages us to keep making them and that makes our house cleaner too!

Tried all of that. Decided that citrus peels was the best. Cuties, oranges, grapefruit. Right after breakfast works best!

*Never add bleach to any sink or faucet. Bleach dissolves the stainless steel coating and leaves metal plumbing parts to rust and pit. The USA Navy keeps any bleach under lock and key and only authorizes it's use for special circumstances. this because bleach causes corrosion on the metal and weakens it. Otherwise, your video is very helpful!

Disposal is correct…disposer is someone who disposes. (Looked it up).

I'd say all is accurate. In my recollection there was a product named that. Disposal is the action. The disposer is the garbage disposal that is running.

I do it in a reverse order. I use the dish sponge that I’m going to throw away and rub the inside with soap. The next step I put some cleaning detergent. I think I’m going to buy those packets. Looks easy and convenient ! Have a nice day.

I used Glisten just now and the foam came back up on the right side of my sink light brown! 😵 I watched so many videos and it seems that I must be the only one that doesn't have light blue foam resurfacing from my sink or garbage disposal. I might need to use this cleaning foam more.

A bottle brush coated with soap and vinegar could clean the underside of the drain rubber. I have a wand type bottle brush with bristle ball at the end that cleans the inside of bottles and glasses and would work well even with that foaming action going on with the Glisten product you used.

For cleaning under the underside of the "rubber-stopper thing" try using a long handle dish brush (used to clean tall cups). Simply push the brush below the rubber-stopper and drag it up the underside. it'll grab all that gross stuff from around the edges and underside. It also works to clean the inside of the garbage disposal.

This trick will clean the food from the inside of the disposer. Put a bunch of cubes and some dish soap in and turn the disposer on. Let it grind for while. Finally grind a lemon or an orange in the disposer to make it smell great

Garbage Disposal vs Disposer ? The Disposal is under the sink; the Disposer is your husband. Don't forget to remind him that tomorrow is trash pickup day.
