I don't really approve of the guy beating his roommate for half an hour for kicking his kitten. Should've made that at least three hours.

3:33 "if you're like this when you're drunk, it's your responsibility not to drink"
Thank you. Yes. We need to hold people responsible for their actions.
Agreed.
Yes i also agree, if people know how they act when drunk or under influence of substances, they should be punished for their actions so they can't use the excuse "sorry but i was drunk lol"
You cannot hold someone accountable for actions when his mentally "not at home".
However you should hold him accountable for getting in this state if it's induced by an active action to get into this state.
I always thought "drunk" is the weakest excuse you can give
@@johnscaramis2515 Dude. If someone is "Mentally not at home", then they either did something to themselves, or they are simply a crazy person that needs to be put into an asylum. What you said doesn't offer anything against the original argument.

Bro really said take my penis money💀
Especially since it was phrased as "paid by my penis"

I got putpocketed once when on the train I was devastated because I couldn't afford my antidepressants because of a welfare screw up. I was complaining to my mother saying it's ok I can still come help you today and I can afford to get home, but I can't afford the antidepressants and this lovely lady tried to give me the twenty dollars I needed and I said thankyou but don't put yourself out I will be fine. she said ok if you are sure. When I stood up to get off the train I put my phone in my pocket and in my pocket was twenty dollars I still don't know how she put it in my jeans pocket while I was sitting down without my noticing.
Trust me, people can snatch anything from your pockets, putting something in there is easy too.
Not speaking from experience, for legal reasons, also use zip-up/velcro pockets when going on public transport to keep your wallet, phone, etc. in, that damn velcro will definitely alert you if somebody tries to pick-pocket you.

As someone who recently got an 8 week old kitten, that guy who kicked the kitten I can professionally say that he fully deserved it.
I agree he was a shitty person for doing it, but the other person went a bit overboard.
@@MayHugger No he did not.
@@RookTVchannel Yes he did, the kitten would be hurt a lot by the one kick, don’t get me wrong, but beating someone for half an hour is much more likely to cause serious lasting damage, and you’re waaay more likely to kill them than the kick would to the kitten, especially if you include that the guy was drunk, so their aim would be off, meaning the kick was unlikely to hit anywhere vital on the kitten.
I’m not excusing the drunk, he’s piece of shit and being drunk doesn’t excuse their actions, but the other guy still went overboard.
@@MayHuggerNope. What if he kicked it in the head and it died? It was only 6 weeks old. It wasn’t fully developed.
@@amateurartist. They were drunk, so the odds of the kick hitting the head are quite low, and what if the other guy hit one of the many wrong places when they repeatedly beating them.

I am an American, I agree that medical debt is outrageous. Thank you to John Oliver for his generosity.
I remember watching that episode, it was so amazing.
Also the number of actual companies John Oliver has made specifically to spite/counter and explore the legal limits of companies is actually kinda crazy. From memory alone there was like 6.
Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption was absolute genius and simultaneous tested the limits of what types of... seed could be delivered via mail.
That isn’t even the craziest stunt he’s done lol. He set up a spam bot to call the people in charge of bot calls to call them every 10 minutes with a message telling them to vote against allowing bot calls.
He also set up fake ads online to get data from congressmen and because those idiots took the bait he now has the personal data of over 50 different people working on capital bill.
I don't know what is wrong with my brain, but I misread that as "magical debt" and was wondering how many wizards John was out there freeing.
As an American I aspire to be John Oliver when I grow up.
My mom can't afford the bill for going to the doctors even if she has COVID and me and my siblings are the only ones who go because she uses the child support to pay for our medical debt and so she never goes and just roughs it out until she is better and I hope I can be like John Oliver when I grow up so people like her can get the treatment they need without having to worry about money problems.
That Russian soldier dude who made a phone call home wasn't even held at gunpoint, or even TOLD to call home. He just decided to do it. That just proves that what he saw felt magical. I thought he meant the Russians had no paved streets or light like Russia could actually *help* them by invading and taking over from the *corrupt* government and Putin could rebuild the country. Basically lied to that what they were doing was going to help the Ukraine and this guy saw with his own eyes the Russians, his own country who he trusted lied to go to war. Russia and the US especially have a history of lying to go to war for the personal gain of a few elite (Bush family for example).

Regarding the Black Friday tweet- I work in retail and I can tell you, Black Friday is NOT a good day for anyone. The customers are lined up outside before you even get there at 5 am and they're staring you down bc you get to go inside. When something doesn't go their way, "is there a manager I can talk to/see?" Then you're the bad guy the rest of the conversation.
That's why you gotta walk by them in slow motion and give them all a blank stare with a slight grin on your face.
What you do is lie to their face and say "Sure!" And not get them, being passive aggressive is the best way to handle customers like they because they absolutely hate it when other people get put first
See, I live in Canada and I've we've never really had anything like that, probably because the culture is different and whatnot but also we stretch out black Friday sometimes. It depends on the business but very often stores near me do the sale for the full weekend, I've seen them do a week long sale, and at one point a car dealership near me had a sale going the entire month of November. Also the highest sale I had seen was like 75% off, can't remember what the product was but damn was the 75% off tag big.
Uk here, black Fridays are a total import... they're a week long or so. We don't have thanksgiving at all so it's just a random sale.

My issue with the hot pepper enema is concern that some arsehole might try it on their child.
That is unfortunately a valid concern...
It would be nice if the OP went back and update it saying something along the lines of, "Doesn't work on children or teenagers. This method is specifically for adults.". Or something along the lines of that.

I had an astronomy professor who wrote the textbook for the Intro to Astronomy class I was in... They had wanted him to get it published and traditionally bound, etc, but he said that would have ended up with us paying about $80 USD for a book that was only about 350 pages. So, he took the file down to OfficeMax, and got it printed and spiral bound and charged us $10 each. Best Professor ever.
I had a professor do the same thing!! Mine was like $30 instead of $350 or something insane, but we were all so incredibly grateful. I *love* it when professors do that.
And boy do I miss astronomy classes
My intro to philosophy professor didn't believe in having to pay for textbooks. So he made his own textbook, proceeded to print the whole thing using the university printers and paper, then just gave it to us for free. 😂
Just in case people were worried, pumpkin is actually really good for dogs stomachs and digestion and most enjoy the taste. This good dogo made a poompkin patch just for him to enjoy lol.
Giving my dogs some pumpkin on Halloween now lol
It's a vet recommended fiber for them.
My old cat suffered with constipation in the final years of her life, and cats aren't big on drinking lots of water. My vet suggested adding boiled, mashed pumpkin to her wet food as it hides well in strongly flavoured foods, and helps their stools retain water so they're a bit easier to pass. Worked perfectly. Only needed to add a few teaspoons of pumpkin per meal.
Pumpkin is great for a ton of animals. Even betterr are those decorative gooseneck gourds. If you drry them out after fall is over, come spring, the outer rind is as hard as wood. A cheap drill bit at the hardware store can easily cut through it, allowing you to pull the small bounty of seeds and remaining petrified pulp out for the birds. You can then hang the hollow gourd out in trees to encourage birds to nest in your area. you can also paint them to increase longevity.
I have to make a pumpkin patch now.
For the dogs.
For the birds.
For the Great Pumpkin.

Fun fact: guacamole _doesn't_ really have a separate name from its ingredients. It comes from the words "aguacate" (avocado) and "mole" which means "sauce". "Guacamole" is literally a portmanteau of "avocado sauce".
In my country we call avocados "palta" and sometimes we use the term for guacamole too.
I am really tempted to start calling it avocado sauce... and I work with restaurant POS systems.
Years down the road I know someone is going to be going through my old documentation and start seeing internal references to "avocado sauce" and I want to thank you for that person's future confusion

The stolen food for meals reminded me of a post I saw floating around last Christmas, though I don't know if the story is true:
Whole Foods (owned by Bezos and raking in tons of money) had food collection boxes at the front of the store, so that customers could buy groceries for people in need. This guy would go into Whole Foods, pick up armfulls of groceries and put them in the boxes without paying so he wasn't 'stealing'. It' isn't likely that the staff would go and start pulling food out of the donation boxes. It's genius in its simplicity.
That's actually a better practice for large retail businesses I think. I work in retail and watch expired packaged food (still in edible condition, just the dates are expired) get destroyed everyday. It hurts my heart knowing they could have gone to people who needed them, and also understanding that if the companies didn't do that they could have got themselves into a lot of troubles with lawsuits and food safety speculation. I always want to look for and learn more about how to reduce such waste of food. So if the story you say about whole foods was true it'd be another wholesome method to learn and apply ❤
Omfg. Did not expect to see the aggressive generosity one here. |D That's my friend, and she's just as badass and stubbornly kind as you'd expect from that story. Wild when her post shows up places like this - but she deserves it.

my dad got thousands of dollars in medical debt paid from one of those charities and it literally saved us. he got extremely sick, then had to get a surgery and he almost died on the operating table because he went under so deeply. after that he lost his job because it was a physical labor job
I was at one time in debt over 200k from surgery and hospital stay that regave me feeling/movement in my legs and control of bodily functions. Of course once I moved my parents started their shit again, but they stopped because my brother tried to put an axe in my head while I was filming my mother harassing me post move.

37:55 best home brew I’ve ever seen was courtesy of my DM. Xe created a shop system where this sort of magical treehouse would appear whenever it was useful (aka after major plot points). You went up to a store in the treehouse and would be greeted by a plushie warforged named Hobble, who looked like a tiger, and a halfling child named Kal. You could buy anything from bombs to water bottles, but the coolest thing was a randomized item. It was based on those cute gacha machines, but you could buy a big or small Kalvin Ball (the “Vin” came from the supplier of the items). Our dm basically rolled a D20 and the number xe rolled correlated to a random magical item like a ring with a stat buff or whatever. Honestly it was so fun. You could also get any item glittered for 5 coins (this has no impact on the game it’s just cute). My tiefling has a prosthesis that is now gold glitter.
Oh, awesome! The two remind me of Calvin and Hobbes. I love Calvin and Hobbes!
Thinking about that last video with the dog freeing the other dog - we adopted a little dog who ran all over our neighborhood. We had taken him back home several times, but we would see him out again in just a few hours. Eventually, the family who owned the dog asked if we wanted him. We were thrilled to get him.
He was so smart and so caring. Numerous times before we adopted him, he found dogs running loose in our neighborhood and guided them to my house because he knew I would make sure they got back home. I'm sure he saved many of these dogs' lives and relieved many of their sad, worried families.
Removing road signs is literally something that we did in ww2 in England and a lot of the rest of Europe, both sides did this and it was far more effective back then because no GPS so any troops that parachuted in would have a much harder time navigating because they wouldn't know for sure where they were on the map if they even had one
Yep, Granny told me about it when she told me how the americans came to our village.
People really overestimated Russian troops 2 months ago, turns out they're pretty dumb. Ukraine is still standing pretty strong after all these times, and I'm really glad!
@@RGC_animation don't forget, a lot of the Russian soldiers don't want to fight once they realise that all the propaganda they have been fed through state censored media was lies, and seeing how much better the Ukrainians live compared to their literal superpower of a country where poverty is so much more extreme and widespread. Many of them didn't sign up to murder civilians, they were told they were saving the people from a n@zi regime etc and now they are being forced to keep fighting under threat of their family being harmed if they go against Russia or don't follow orders, whereas the locals are literally fighting for their lives and freedom. Obviously there are a lot of really nasty people involved who are the ones rping and killing children and murdering civilians en-masse and committing various other atrocities just like they've been getting away with in every other hostile takeover they have done in the last decades but there are also many ordinary people serving under Russia and the demoralisation of realising what their leader is forcing them to do is really having an impact both on morale and their ability to go into combat effectively
@@Lilith-Rose Yeah, the only really awful people in this war are Putin and some high ranked officials.
Most of the russian equipment still doesn't have GPS so its actually more effective than you think. They're basically just using old fashioned maps and road signs for the most part, and with road signs gone they're at a big disadvantage.

In California, I’ve never seen hostile architecture, especially not in my city, since even though we do have a problem with homelessness, our previous mayor, Rusty Bailey used a lot of empty space to create homes for the homeless that were cheap and livable, and I respect him because he chose to stay in one of them for a while. He also created a major library in the city, which is also great.
I live in a small/big town (population fluctuates, tourist town, and it's the place for a lot of smaller communities to come for various things, including school) and I'm low-key impressed at our lack of homelessness. Most homelessness lasts less than a year, and ends because someone offers a spare room. If you see someone sleeping in the park, they're more likely to be a drunk who couldn't get a ride home than a homeless person. I will admit I've noticed an uptake in hostile architecture since the pandemic... the worst being this really great spot to sit and wait for the bus got this weird railing that makes it hard to sit on now. Because too many drunks were sleeping on it, apparently. I've contemplated taking a tool to it multiple times because that railing means you either stand, sit on sharp rocks, or on the ground while waiting for the bus...

A couple years later, I worked at Target & saw customers literally break down the store 15 mins before it Open & everyone just went bat-shit crazy....this last story, not a "black friday" but it was on a Friday during the "Toilet paper COVID craze" 2 women was going straight-up WWE in wal-mart over 1 package of toilet paper. A chaotic good story I heard of my grandpa:
At a coffee shop, (long before I was born) my Grandpa and Grandma (for reference they were around 30 at the time) were at a Coffee shop. The service was taking slow, and he hadn’t gotten his coffee yet. So what dose he do? He gets up, goes behind the counter, and pours it for himself. He then goes around and pours coffee for everyone else. Grandma was very embarrassed from what I heard, and the staff weren’t too happy. Though I’d argue Grandpa just made their jobs a bit easier. They didn’t throw them out at all, guess they weren’t too keen on losing customers.
I wish I could have met you Edward.
Late to the thread but I grew up in a small prairie town. Spent way too many hours enjoying restaurants that still had bottomless coffee. We always tried to serve ourselves instead of making the staff come pour our coffee. We also tried to be polite and not make a mess. It as assumed that keeping the servers happy meant they wouldn’t complain and stop us hanging out.
On at least one day we had people coming in and out between classes, I think we had a table for 6 hours straight. Must have worked a little bit.
Those restaurants probably kept us all out of trouble too since we didn’t wander town looking for excitement or someplace to hang out.

As retail employee I actually refuse to go to stores during Black Friday since like you said it's a scam to trick people in mass buying. A lot of companies have changed the format from Black Friday to Black Friday WEEK now just to squeeze as much as they can out of people as they can at the start of the holiday shopping season. If you are looking for a deal your best bet around that time of the year is Cyber Monday since you shop online and don't stampede stores for no reason and you get the same discounts you would have on Black Friday if it's a real sales price and not a "Special Black Friday Price" (that isn't really much of a sale since those are usually the new MSRP to be set in the New Year to clear out the product on that line). My coworkers and I always laugh because the company I work for sends the Black Friday Week flyers to us along with the flyer for the following 2 weeks after the Black Friday sales are over and A LOT of Black Friday Sales prices are the same as the "Special Holiday Prices" that will last at our store until the New Year... and they are not a limited stock like the Black Friday deals are (like we aren't told after we sell out the skid not to restock it the rest of the Holiday Shopping season like we are during Black Friday week since the company wants to create the illusion of scarcity and limited supply during the panic that is Black Friday shopping and hope people who are there already will be easy to upsell a non-sale price items instead of the special priced item everyone wanted). One of the strangest items I've seen at our store on Black Friday Week was mattresses (I work in a hardware store) the flyer showed them off like "Regular Price: $1500 Black Friday Sales Price: $500 SAVE $1000!" but we had never carried mattresses before then... or since then, and even though the allotted number of Black Friday deal mattresses where sold before the term of the sale was finished; the following week we got more and they were still $500 and they stayed at $500 until they all sold over the next 6 months, then we never saw them again. It's the same thing when we get non-stock related electronics for the Black Friday Sale they will be in the ad as being something like 75% off the "regular price" but if they do not sell out for the Black Friday Sale they will just stay at the "special price" until they are all gone and we will never carry them again, they do this with things like off brand smart watches, tablets, and bunch of small kitchen appliances we never carry as regular stock.
Holy shit dude
Eh true, but when you live in a small town with no entertainment till very specific seasons (mostly only summer) and there's no where fun to visit, it's good entertainment. There's not alot of insanity but eh, better than being extremely bored. And I sometimes find one or two good things (mostly nice pajamas or one time a camera I used for school).
@@nova14414 I'd say that is fair, and my guess is you probably go to stores that are worth going to on Black Friday... Not like my customers... like I said we are a hardware store; the only things that we get that have special Black Friday sales and items we specifically only carry for Black Friday and maybe some of the lower end power and hand tools. We get swamped by people that stampede in to get there right away and get the best items and it doesn't make any sense at all. But yeah these people come in seriously thinking we will have stuff like lumber and building materials on sale because "it's black friday" and they don't get black friday isn't like Presidents Day or Victoria Day where stores do big sales on everything since it's a long weekend and they want people to buy like mad for BBQs and DIY projects they have been putting off and that Black Friday is about getting a start on Christmas shopping and Hardware stores only carry a very limited number of items that make good gifts.
@@CartoonHero1986 Eh we mostly just go to Walmart. We don't really go to hardware stores to begin with XD.

25:51 in no way are abortions a crime. A women's body is hers, and we have no right to tell her to sacrifice it. Having a baby has tons of side effects that last a lifetime. We don't force people to donate kidneys, why force them to donate their body?
And those bringing 'they have to take responsibility for their actions' into this, what actions? All they did was derive a form of pleasure, which men can walk away without 'any consequences'.
Also rap* exists, and forcing a victim to live with that makes makes you a damn monster to me.
And forcing people unwilling to have kids to have kids is like basically signing the kid up 90% of times to decades of neglect and abuse. So you're not saving the child, you're torturing 2 or more people.
Abortions should be perfectly legal. And I wish my mother had done that to me to save herself from the torture she had to go through for years. I won't even mind being killed any day, it's only because of her forced sacrifices I decide to live on.
Yes, obviously they should be legal, but they aren't in Texas. That's the entire point of the post, it would make it near impossible to charge people who get abortions

Oh dear God no, no, no. There absolutely are penalties for filing false claims in Texas. At a minimum you are on the hook for their attorneys fees and costs. If you use a lawyer they can be sanctioned by the judge. If you represent yourself you can be declared a vexatious litigant. If you somehow escape all that you still loose all the court fees, you have to hire a process server to get the whole thing started, and then there is the expense of going to Texas to appear in court. You can bet your ass you will suffer consiquences for failure to appear.
