As someone who has ADHD and often stares into space without perceiving, my literal worst nightmare is unknowingly being called a creep in a tik tok video for accidentally looking at someone a few times at the gym. Like I try my damndest to not to stare in anyone's direction, but I usually don't notice when I do it.
lol my fiance does that too he goes in the zone really hard sometimes
Honestly, just say "I have ADHD and I was zoning out". Now they can't upload this to TikTok because people will bully them.

Because, people have undiagnosed mood disorders and jackasses like the click (I say that affectionately, the click is one of my favorite creators but god damn the tone deafness) like to make fun of them on the internet instead of recommending that they get help.
As a mother with a two year old, she DOES think everyone wants to be her friend and I try so hard to keep her from bothering people I swear toddlers just are too friendly haha
Good parenting right there, it’s sad the world isn’t a place that is kind to the innocence of youth tho.
I worked at a grocery store for years and it was always my favorite thing to see toddlers who were just figuring out their words, because you could tell they were so excited. They figure out the word hi and they just want to say it to everybody. It always felt like a triumphant moment for them because every time they say hi and somebody says hi back they'd light up like they had cracked some secret code to figuring out how the big people act. Friendly kids like that got me through some rough days at work.
nah gurl i looked like a demon incarnate in my toddler photo💀
children ain't so chil.
I made a friend in kindergarden by her coming up to me and basically saying “hi whats ur name do you wanna be friends?”
As a Canadian I can't tell you the amount of Americans I've met who actually think America is the center of the world and that America is respected and adored by the entire world. It's wild.
Edit: Almost 3K likes holy moly.
Well im in Minnesota
So I know that feeling
As an American (and also a Minnesotan), I get so embarrassed by people who think America is the best and the center of the world. Like, my dude, do you even live in this godforsaken country? I would love if Canada "invaded" Minnesota because I would love to be a Canadian.
SELF-DELUSION 100
(Some countries get bonus ranks and faster gains)
I have always been astounded by their ignorance. Had an American look at our Canadian plates on the car (and camper) and ask “did we come over by boat or plane?”
I've heard - directly from an American - that Americans get fed a steady diet of propaganda about how great America is, so that they don't realise how much better the rest of the world has it and how badly their leaders are screwing them and denying them what most Europeans consider basic human rights.
Funny thing. My brother's ex and I both got pregnant within weeks of each other. Based on due dates, I was actually pg first. They announced first and publicly. I told my parents. My mom told my brother, and he accused me of getting pg just to undermine their good news. Later, they induced for early delivery to ensure theirs was born first.
I asked everyone what crown/title/inheritance we were competing for as middle-class Americans. I also thanked my brother for assuming I had such godly powers that I could predict their pregnancy and successfully conceive first.
They didn't find that funny, but I sure did.
Wow. Your brother sounds like Piece of Work.

The only gender reveal I will accept is when the leaders of my summer camp dyed their dog blue (with pet safe dye, of course) and then just released it and it came running out all happy and excited to see everybody. Wholesome, sweet, and no lasting damage anywhere.
Or something like a colored cake, or pinata
My favorite one was still the family where they popped the balloon, no glitter came out, then the grandma pulls off a wig revealing dyed-blue hair and that the baby is a boy

If I learned anything from shows like Steven Universe and The Owl House, it's that you do NOT want to be the main character. Being the main character usually means that you have way too many responsibilities, with a bit of trauma mixed in.
Especially trauma
And also your basically god
I’m reminded of a quote “everyday Twitter has a main character and your goal is to never be it”

"The benefit of having anxiety is that you're too scared to do stupid things like this"
-Me, 2023
Me too girl
Yeah, I wouldn't want all that attention on me.
Yup, true
You see, my problem is that whenever I feel anxious, I don’t know if it’s something I should be anxious about or if I’m just being paranoid, so I can’t even trust my gut feelings. I used expired milk in my oatmeal for like two weeks because I thought the white chunks coming out “gave it character”. I also let a guy I’d met in person for the first time take me to his dorm and I got in his car.
Sometimes I wish I could give a piece of my social anxiety to these kind of people
The closest thing I had to a main character moment was in 11th grade. I managed to score 100% for every single maths assignment and test. The principal refused to believe that I was that good at maths, so he made everyone retake some of the tests. I scored more than 100% (bonus marks)😂 He insisted on a remark of everything, which took a while. I got one or two extra marks.
So then he forced me to write an even harder test, IN HIS OFFICE. Beforehand he'd given me a lecture on how cheating isn't good and blah blah blah. He loomed over my shoulder the entire time I was writing.
When I finished, he smiled and said something along the lines of "Now let's see how smart you really are." ...100% again. Needless to say he finally left me alone after that, but it was honestly hard not to feel a bit smug and main character-ish after the lengths he went to to deny me my grade 🤣
That is a great story😂
That is so odd. Why couldn't he fathom a student being that smart? I can kinda understand being a little bit skeptical at first, if every single assignment and test has a perfect score, but if it were me I'd just talk to your math teacher like, "hey, is this student super smart or is she cheating somehow?" Because I figure the teacher would know more than anyone, and once they say, "no, she's just really great at maths," I'd leave it alone. Did he ever apologize to you? I assume no cuz of embarrassment lol.
@@zombieedrea Nope, he just kind of went "... Alright, you can go" and sent me on my way 😂
I think it could have been any of a few reasons why he was skeptical of me specifically: I'm a female, I am of a different cultural background to him, I was more into culture and art than sports (he was all about rugby etc.), I had never performed THAT well in maths before (as in not 100%), and I also happened to be one of the students who got things done when other students weren't happy - we ended up getting lockers, bag weight restrictions, homework regulations, etc. because I would bring them up as problems to my teachers and parents.
So I think I was just a bit of a thorn in his side and he wasn't happy I was getting so much attention 🤣 And also I was outperforming all the males / females in his culture, which was apparently an issue
@@zombieedrea past, it's because the story is obviously fake.
I can kinda relate. Not to this level, ofc. When I was in highschool, I used to do really well on English (native language of the country is Spanish, so it's teaching a second language). I'm talking "finish the assignment in less than 5 minutes" well. I aced the tests, but they weren't always 100% because of minor mistakes.
That is, until one year. All of my tests were perfect, flawless, not a single thing wrong. Except for one, when instead of a 10, I got a 9. I wasn't the only one, another girl in my class also had the same thing happen to her. (She was very annoying but she was good at English too). Teacher said that if she'd graded us what she should have, we would have made the rest of the class, and her, look bad. To this day, one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Sorry for rambling, I was reminded of that by your story lmao, some teachers are dumb as shit

The cancer fantasy absolutely got under my skin.
Wishing cancer on someone you supposedly love and care about?
What?
Do you even hear yourself.
I have first hand experience of what that feels like and I wouldn't wish that on anybody.
I lost my grandpa who was like a father to me to cancer before the COVID outbreak and I'm still not over it.
Contrary to popular belief it's not a fun experience for anyone involved.
Make it make sense.
I hope it's only because she hasn't realised the realities of cancer, that it's because her only experience of it has been from movies. I truly, sincerely wish for this, because of she knows what it's like, if she knows someone that's gotten it and _still_ thinks like that? That is utterly horrifying.
My best friend died of cancer on his 20th birthday. Him and his girlfriend got married before he died. It was a wonderful wedding and a touching story. However, it was traumatic for everyone involved, not to mention his widow, and has left lasting psychological damage for all of us. Why would you willingly want that? That is all kinds of messed up. Only a solipsistic self absorbed psycho would want that so they have a "cute" story.
i recently lost my grandpa as well
he did not pass from cancer, rather a collection of awful disabilities and illnesses that kinda just sapped away his strength entirely (cancer, diabetes, Parkinsons, pneumonia, infections, kidney failure and more)
itwas awful and i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy
My mom had breast cancer and cervical cancer simultaneously for a year not too long ago. I’m so thankful that she survived and is healthy today, but it was very difficult and heartbreaking for my family to see her suffer and be in pain. I remember her crying about being scared about her chemotherapy appointments and I had to tell her she was still beautiful after she lost her hair.
Dogs/pets in general absolutely get a pass to be main characters.
The shop I work at is dog friendly. The moment my manager sees someone with a dog come in, she grabs a doggie treat from under the counter, makes a beeline to the owner, and asks them if the doggo if they can have a treat. Then she coos and fawns over the doggo while giving them a treat.
She says "all dogs who come in this store are good boys/girls."
All dogs are the main character of the store.
That’s absolutely delightful!
Adorable. So glad she asks too bc my boy has dietary restrictions and I’d have to be sure what type of treat.
this subreddit is always insane to me bc like I genuinely cannot imagine having the self-confidence (arrogance) to be that obnoxious in public lmao
edit: if you're only having a child because "everyone else is" PLEASE DO NOT FUCKING HAVE KIDS TYVM
Likewise. I barely have the self-confidence to exist, much less just assume I'm more important that anyone else. I mean, I would never use someone else's car as a prop in some kinda video, or just take up a whole cafe seating area to record myself posing and dancing. I don't get how anyone can think that's ok. They clearly have a lesser comprehension of what the world is.
Someone run and tell Paris Hilton
If my rock bottom self confidence was miraculously combined with THAT self confidence I would probably become a slightly entitled person...

Seriously. My husband and I had a courthouse wedding because I couldn’t bear the thought of being the center of attention for a big, traditional wedding.
I nearly didn’t have a baby shower for the same reason but my husband and best friend forced me to (mostly because it was a rough pregnancy and they thought I needed some fun after 8-ish months of being pretty miserable).
I can’t imagine doing any of these things that would make me the center of attention unless my life were literally at stake. Maybe not even then.

The pregnant girl that was mad other people were pregnant too, would have absolutely hated working with me. There were at least six of us pregnant at the same time. There were so many of us pregnant, some of the women stopped drinking the water that came out of the filter in the wall. 😂

Also, our eyes are naturally drawn to movement because we have a survival instinct. If your mind is wandering, your eyes will naturally be drawn to others in the room because even if they are sitting still, small movements like breathing and shifting will make you subconsciously stare.

She'd claim it was sooooo hard for her to go through that with him and how it "took a toll" on her.

That one with the woman bringing her kids to that CZcamsr's house is so unintentionally eerie. To my knowledge, most celebrities (internet or otherwise) don't make a habit of putting out their personal address info; which means that woman probably had to do some digging to find out where he lived. That alone should be a hint that maybe, just showing up there as an unannounced stranger would be a not cool thing to do.
Fortunately The Click does not have to worry about this, because The Click clearly lives within a special pocket dimension outside of space & time; which can only be accessed by traveling to the fictional land of Sweden.
I love The Click, I wish Sweden was real 💔
I thought it was Finland that was fake, or is it both of them
@@bendingdemon6483; Lol, "Finland". What, was it founded by sharks?
(If that was a real place, I would totally go)
Apparently it's not uncommon, unfortunately-my sibling's ex was a CZcamsr (like 20,000 subscribers at the time, which was enough to make it a full-time job and give him a decent crowd of fans, to my surprise) and he moved to Texas and had multiple fans show up to his house within a short time. He had no idea how they tracked him down, because he never gave out his address anywhere. These were mostly teenage fans, I think.
So yeah, that was pretty shocking to learn was a thing, and when Click started talking about the incident in this video, I was actually surprised he wasn't familiar with it happening a lot more. Glad, though. Hopefully it isn't as common as it seemed when I first heard of it, or maybe somehow CZcams helps creators better protect their privacy nowadays (this was ~2015/16). (Probably too hopeful on that last one, though.)
@@jacobjohnson8686; That's so alarming!
Mr. The Click seems pretty savvy, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's taken steps to secure his privacy beyond what CZcams offers.
I imagine accessibility is a factor as well. It's harder for most fans to travel to a whole other country to stalk someone, and it looks like a lot of these scary fans are American.
Some will still find a way, but I figure the harder you can make it to be found, the better.
The girl who was crying about people "fat-shaming their old selves" probably has an eating disorder. It can be incredibly hard and triggering for people in ED recovery to see those transformation videos/pictures because they're fighting so hard to accept their heavier bodies now that they're trying to be healthy.
But yeah, it's not the posters' fault that they show up in her feed. When people are in that place in their recovery, it's probably best to just stay off social media.
This just makes me sad. The fact people have to go through that is just.. stuff like this keeps me up at night… I wish people didn’t have to go through that, that’s not fair :(
Definitely. I had an ED and thankfully recovered. That girl needs to step away from the internet, for her own sake.
What is an eating disorder? Like, you can't stop eating?
Aren't there any content filters on tiktok?
@@AggressiveSpaghetti There are many different types of ED. The most common is either binge eating where you can't stop eating, or not eating at all while feeling nauseous after eating. It's mostly mental and usually has to do with insecurities (e.g someone thinks they're too overweight, starves themselves, isn't able to eat properly anymore).
Fun fact: Toddler and animal posts are actually against this subreddit’s rules. They say it’s because they’re incapable of being narcissistic, but I think it’s because you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who would disagree that they’re the main character.

generally staring at other people is a very common thing to do in Germany so I guess that gym lady would run away screaming if she should ever go to my gym
"why is he staring so long wtf"
Ma'am, as a fellow female, that is literally just 5 seconds, no where near long enough to qualify as staring. It's just a glance. He saw movement in the corner of his eye, looked over to see what you were doing and then lost interest again when he figured it out. It's literally the nature of intelligent beings to do this! Cats, dogs, even a goldfish would do this! It's not that deep 🤦♀️
Locker rooms are, indeed, not public spaces. This would be like having a toilet cam
more like a shower cam like people get naked in there lol
As a German I find it extremly wierd, that Americans just accept that they can be filmed in public everywere. In Germany you have to be notified specifically that there are cameras and the footage may ONLY be used for crime prosecution, unless its specifically noted that the footage is for release (or implied by the perspn filmimg being from a media house), and its generally not allowed to film or photograph a person or their private spaces (which includes the garden) outside of very specific exceptions.
@@hannajung7512 And in a lot of situations, you not only have to inform them, you have to get their explicit consent to being filmed.
That fitness influenza at 20:55 releasing the footage would likely be illegal in Germany.
@@hannajung7512 In Australia they have to notify you as well! You'll often see a sign saying “Smile! You're on camera!”
They don't have to notify why, it's assumed to be for security purposes so 🤷♂️
@@hannajung7512 I'm British, but we have very similar laws to Americans. Anyone's allowed to film on their own property, or on public streets. However you cannot film on other people's property without their permission, and you can't have cameras where privacy is to be expected (e.g. changing rooms and toilets).
I'm guilty of posting my weight loss photos. I'm proud of what I've achieved and how it's helped with some health issues
You're not guilty of it, it's normal thing to do. People shouldn't project their insecurities onto others and cry about it
Well done on your progress! It is hard and you should be proud 😊
Don't feel guilty! Whenever I see someone post their progress I'm just happy to see someone achieve their goals. That has nothing to do with how I feel about myself. Be proud of your progress and hard work!
as you should be!! you've achieved a goal you worked hard for, there's no shame in being proud
That's nothing to be ashamed of, you set a goal and reached it and it's good that it's helped with some health related stuff. I just, not quite have the same issue myself because I'm probably a bit underweight ngl so that's not something I can do, but when it's done for body positivity, that's great imo. I think the one posting about that, Click got it right, she just needed a break from social media, less time to focus on the world around her and more time to focus on reaching a healthy point where they're happy and comfortable with themself. Kinda sad that happens at all though, humans can be real cruel at times to get people to hate themselves or others for such things

Most of the "People staring in gym" videos I've seen are like;
1. They could be staring with good reason, because they're making sure their fellow gym goers aren't dropping heavy weights on their legs and breaking bones.

But instead people assume the worst, which is that someone thinks they're attractive, and is staring because they are imagining some lewd scenario or something.
Most people in those videos don't even stare, they just glance, which, is very respectful. You look at other people don't you?

I really hate that these women are accusing men of being creeps for normal behavior when there really IS a bigger issue of harassment. Personally I’ve never been harassed in the gym and if someone has stared at me, having sexual fantasies, I didn’t notice because I was focused on my workout. Not posing for a camera. That one girl melodramatically calling that innocent dude “feral” really got me heated. Feral behavior would result in your bodily harm, ma’am. A mere glance in your direction isn’t assault.

Filming in the locker room is illegal because you have implied privacy, just like in the restrooms. Doesn’t matter if it’s a public restroom, you can (and should) report it. Even if you don’t file a police report, the gym can revoke their membership.
It depends on where you’re filming. It’s OK to take a picture in the common area of a restroom or locker room as long as there’s no naked people in the background or something like I see people taking pictures in the bathroom mirror all the time.

40:16 ugh when I was 16 I worked as a busboy in an Italian restaurant. Most weekday shifts I got off around 10 or 11 pm but Friday they made me closer, so I had to clean all the rooms. Closing was at midnight on friday, sat and sunday, 10 pm on weekdays. But they would let customers stay until as late as 2 am before actually telling them they have to leave. I wasn't allowed to clean any room with customers eating or any room they could see me from their table. Sometimes a couple thought it eas so romantic to have the entire restaurant to themselves, they would just sit there and chat, hours after the kitchen was closed up and the chefs went home, I was standing there waiting for some couple to finish flirting in the dark.
Then when they'd finally leave, my manager who also has main character syndrome, made me sweep in the dark (only lamps and Christmas lights were used to light the rooms, probably to hide the cockroaches all over the place), and he would come in and shine a bright flashlight under the tables and tell me I missed a spot and gleefully watch me sweep the whole room again. Sometimes I didn't get home until 4am, sometimes I even had to close on weekdays, at 16, getting home at 2-4 am on a Tuesday, having to go to high school at 7 am. I had one experience where I was the "main character." It was during Senior Skip Day in high school. The skip day happened to fall during tech week for a show I was part of, and because I was helping with directing, I couldn't risk not being allowed to attend rehearsal.
Every other senior in the school didn't show up (the one other person who did left after first period), so it was just me. I was the only person in most of my classes, and I ended up wandering the halls and hanging out with teachers I liked during their prep periods (if they wanted me to of course). One thing that I have been annoyed by with algorithms is with advertising. I attend a bunch of fitness classes, I LOVE being active. So I get tons of ads that target weightloss. My fitness side is about health, strength and mobility, my career is in the wellness and mobility field, so it makes sense I would get a ton of targeted ads for fitness. I often check the ads out if they don't advertise weightloss specifically. I test the trial period to see if any of the apps would be useful for clients, and always do I end up getting weight loss tip reminders, even when the app does not primarily advertise on weight-loss initially, and it is almost always exclusively weight-loss reminders and notifications. I can understand how frustrating that would be for anyone trying to be more active while wanting to maintain a healthy relationship with the body you have.

The "I haven't met you" thing with Michael Rosen is also nuts because he's one of the most famous children's poets and authors in the UK, was the Children's poet laureate, and has been writing poetry for pretty much the last 40 years. It's not like h's just some bloke who got sick.

Right? Dude looked like someone chill to have around, also the luggage part cracked me up! lol
He was having fun, but he was also polite to the airplane staff. I hope the staff also enjoyed the more relaxed flight.
"Das mah luggage!"
I CAN'T BRO HE'S TOO SWEET!
