Would be cool if Phreak and LS did a combined rundown. The entire video would be LS saying all of the balance changes are placebo and then Phreak getting mad and defending the changes.
Yet that's not how it works.... there is a team and they all do various changes and over the past few weeks that team has been helping with other needed tasks so patches have been generally small, Phreak does have near final say on what can get pushed yet the other devs also have quite the sway themselves on what can be put in... Phreak doesn't help himself sometimes for sure and can be obnoxious yet people really need to stop blaming the guy for every single change... half the time he's getting blamed for something he didn't even work on.
@@robpom5501 You just went on a tangent of people blaming Phreak which wasn’t my point. I know that Phreak isn’t the sole employee on the Riot balance team 🤦♂️. However, he is a big part of the team (and the public face). Again, it would be fun to see Phreak interact with LS on a patch rundown. LS would call most of the changes useless, and Phreak would defend the changes and argue back which would be a fun watch. Stop projecting previous arguments you’ve had with other people onto me. I edited my original comment to say “the balance changes” instead of “Phreaks changes” to confuse you less…
Phreak embraces the placebo changes. he uses them to get people to play/not play champs without breaking them.
@@WeatherManToBe Difference is LS calls 90% of the changes placebo. Phreak would only agree on a handful of the changes. Most of the time the would disagree

For the Galio it affect alot. It now enables waveclear with LVL 4 Q and passive to one shot ranged minion with an alternator. Previously it will leave them at 1 hp.
The Galio W changes were written wrong. All the scaling numbers were already there and written incorrectly in the before side. The only correct change is the base damage reduction going up by 5%.
That was part of why he was excited that's still really big news for support galio then 5% damage reduction could also mean we have a taliyah counter maybe?
Q being litterally a spam off cd spell for camille with a double auto reset mechanic a 1 sec lower cd is literally massive, it means she has no downtime with haste.
I think LS underestimate the value of this.

A change I thought to make Galio more of an anti mage champ is to give his w passive shield an effect similar to malphites passive shield where instead of increased armor while the shield is up galios w shield gives increased magic resist while it is up. And maybe give galios e mr scaling and up the mr scaling on his passive and w damage (placebo amounts for these two 5%)

Galio's W is only being buffed by a flat 5%. The 8% MR was already there, they just missed it in the patch notes.
Losing the dx9 mode is actually pretty sad, it was an easy way to get a lot more frames even on newer hardware
I guess it’s ok that champs like Karma, Karthus and a ton of other champs are playable in every role but jungle isn’t allowed to have Rell. Ok riot.

If the changes are placebo , I hope they buffed , for example aatrox , 2 base ad , 10% mov Speed , 1% dmg in the passive , maybe some cd , i would be so happy for the placebo hahahshs

Interesting Riot’s decision with Senna, so over two patches she’s just a little bit weaker early compared to where she was in 14.5, I personally still play her and even last patch you didn’t notice the 5 LESS SOULS PER 100 MINIONS FARMED 😂 Champ is still busted abuse it before they take away an extra 5 souls hahaha
As a Zac main, I am very disappointed in the Zac skin. They could have made cloud Zac from the empyrian Zac splash art. I would have been happy. I'd take pink cloud Zac and become a pink cloud Zac otp.

Azir, Kalista, Neeko, Aatrox, Renekton, Zeri, Nautalis, Maokai, Karma.
All those champs have been pick ban for longer than Rell has been and either have a equal or higher P/B rate than Rell.

I don’t get why Lux gets so much attention when no one is really complaining about her? Ryze has been so shit and its been months since I’ve seen him picked in my soloQ or even in pro league and riot acting like he doesn’t exist
Hope they'll just destroy azir and buff assassins for a fun MSI, but saddly we'll be stuck with this garbage Azir vs x.
Assassins will never be picked in pro again... literally no hope. Every Rioter, coach, every player, every involved community member, and many high elo players, all think assassin is just dog in coordinated play. Riot has in turn balanced the game exactlylike this: assassins thrive on chaos of soloq, where also more people pick squishier comps and don't coordinate with the most broken role in the game when peeled (marksman botlaner). In turn they have buffed every pro play champ to do everything AND burst, so assassins' job is not worth the laning hassle/being useless with no prio and being perma poked out, in a game where pros pick the "broken" (but actually broken, not people crying "soloq broken champs" because they die to them).
Basically, it's a vicious cycle that has led to this state. Community thinks assassins are meme for pro play champs -> Riot balances the game with assassins = meme for pro play champs in mind -> every ranged carry when peeled by low econ CC bots are now broken in pro, which also counter assassins -> Community thinks..........

The truth is that assassins, or more accurately: SQUISHY BURST CHAMPIONS that bide their proper time and vision control are needed in ANY game, despite the cries of soloq adcs or whatever on reddit/twitter. It is true that assassins are less effective in pro play, because obviously champions with utility/cc AND damage is better than just damage. It is true that balancing decisions and champion design decisions have sabotaged the primary purpose of assassins. Despite all of this, I still believe season 14 is a good time for any pro to pick any assassin not named akali (nerf her hp regen btw Riot thanks) and win with it. I am just tired of brain off gameplay in pro because that's what is incentivized by Riot, coaches, players, involved community members, and many high elo players.
And also azir is basically assassin with hard CC + engage + disengage + sustained damage, all in basically less time talon takes to converge his ult. It's just sad
@@supertaakot Indeed. Which is just sad, Yamato the assassin specialist said it himself why play an assassin when you can just stand still and win with Aurelion Sol. Or just play a tank midlaner and neutralize lanes for free. I play toplane so the only champion that does everything toplane is Gnar, but he does everything poorly and on a rage timer that you can see and play around. So there is gameplay there. What's pissing me off is why champions with overloaded utility like Azir are also hypercarries and lane bullies.
Worst part is ad assassins midlane face champions that have literally 20 armor and they're not even good in the lane they're supposed to stomp them. If i have 20 armor toplane i straight up explode with a riven q auto for half my hp bar before she gets to her next q part.
But you're right S14 is better there are more interesting build paths and options.
They also never adressed the shitty counterpick meta toplane, which has been horrible for years, reason why udyr or reksai or k'sante are so strong toplane cause they can be blindpicked. But that means there are no viable blind pick options that you have to take overloaded kit or sustain to just even have a toplaner, feels really bad for a lane that has the uttmost champion diversity that's just straight up failure. But Phreak will talk about seraphine and ignore everything else as per usual.

Unlucky Riot are incapable of balancing their gene and Phreak is the most biased braindead person on the balance team.
Was a fun unique jungler but now will just join the pile of endless tank engage supports and go back to being a rare pick you never see.
Phreak said they wanted to have rell viable in jungle and they tried their hardest, but ultimately it’s not possible to balance because low elo players are too clueless to use her correctly lol

@@soulevans7588It doesn't make sense because it's not the reason. He said they can't reasonably balance support Rell, which is 90% of her player base, without completely pro jailing jungle Rell. They liked experimenting with it, but it's so pro-skewed that they decided to just get rid of it in the interest of live balance. He also said they want to reshape the amount of low economy junglers that are viable in pro. He acknowledged that they're basically deleting a small player base of jungle Rell enjoyers, but it was a cost-benefit decision.

What the hell do they plan on doing to buff rell support..... her shield..... her movement speed. We all know damn well they are not going to give her damage so I don't understand
why does galio have ap scalings? as an anti mage? makes no sense. make him scale with only magic resist or spells tanked or smth similar, so they actually become the anti mage. galio doesnt need to be viable all the time. make galio an answer to heavy ap comps or ap carries.
The same reason why maphite have ao scalings outside of armor only...... think about all scenarios nit just 1 ..........

Insane healing
High base stats and AP ratios - past the first 10 minutes has basically infinite mana, winning trade patterns almost across the board, sustain that makes playing from behind into degenerative duos very comfortable, on demand heal, ms buff, slow and antiburst built in her kit and can build virtually anything to be viable in and out of lane depending on the game state. It's hard to grasp her impact, because in most elos nobody plays her correctly I'd imagine.
When picked into enchanters that can't punish her like milio, lulu, etc, she just gets to scale freely into her zuber form which provides massive amounts of healing/shielding and team movement
