  • Howdy howdy,
On today's video I'm showing you how I installed a pair of Performance Suspension Racing (PSR) 1" extended shackles in the rear of my D22 Navara.
The installation is relatively simple but needs a few bigger items like a decent size jack and a good pair of axle stands. You'll also need a grease gun to grease up the new shackles and bushes upon installation.
This marks the 3rd inch of lift in the rear of the Nav and will soon be accompanied with a 3" extended and braided brake line and also a set of pinion/castor wedges.
If you'd like to get a pair of these shackles for yourself, follow the link to PSR's website! www.performancesuspension.com...
Don't forget you can head to my Instagram as well to keep up to date with the latest and greatest on what I'm doing and whats coming up next and also if you're feeling super bored you can even follow my personal Snapchat account.

If you did a 2” shackle lift instead of the 1” shackle lift you installed, would it be necessary to get shock extenders at that point?

Igoing to do the exact same thing soon with my 2 inch lift coming soon, just wondering if I could maybe level out the car by adjusting the torsion bars higher or is that just a bad idea.

Just be careful not to max out your front bumpstops, otherwise you'll be in for a bumpy ride 😬

Now if you get longer shocks and shackles plus adjust torsion should be fine, I'm ordering those black hawks soon. I removed the rear sway bar I guess it's easier

The rear sway bar? Curious what model you have? I've looked for a rear sway bar and can't find anything on D22s?

@@ap4x4 oh the US version Nissan Xterra D22, I curious what Rear diff does the Navara have? Ours has the H233 4.9 gear ratio, but 33 spline. So there is no locker available for the rear.

Can you do it without a lift

Hey mate. What was your current lift before you did this job? Also where did you get that rear tub rack from? Great vid mate 🤙🏻

Hey mate, the kit I have is a fulcrum kit, its made up of RAW shocks, formula (fulcrum) HD torsion bars and 300kg leaf springs 👌 awesome bit of gear, comfortable, never sagged or had any dramas, only changing it up because I want a bigger lift and more travel without having to waste money on a body lift 👌 also the rack was custom built for a bloke who sold it onto me, now I've just sold it onto another bloke as I prepare for my new tray 😁

How would you go just putting extended shackles on the rear with out new leafs and just 2 inch lift on the front

  • @rufusmorse8529

hows the ride quality? I've already got a tough dog lift kit, looking at extended shackles

    • @ap4x4
      @ap4x4  Před 11 měsíci +1

Awful but expected 😂 no look, honestly all weighted up for travel I have no complaints. Its leaf sprung and rides as nice as any 2011 leaf sprung vehicle with too much lift 🤷‍♂️ but I wouldn’t go any more than the 1” shackles, personal preference.

Hey mate, I just have the Prorack S-wing roof racks. Had them since my first ute and they've been great!
