  • Yes!! Finally Another video! This time I show you how to install a 2” lift into your 4x4 dual cab! I fit the machter auto coil spacers and extended shackles and explain how it works, what to look out for and my personal opinion on this type of lift!
    Now before you ask. This lift is a temporary thing until I sort out the tray and canopy and get the loaded stuff done first to make sure I get appropriate springs and shocks.
    Hope you enjoy the video and make sure you’ve hit that subscribe button!!!

    How thick were the coil spacers you put on the front? Do they equate to 1:1 height difference, 25mm spacer = 25mm lift?

    • @offroadaddiction1042
      @offroadaddiction1042  Před 3 lety

      Correct mate!
      50mm spacer is what I put in ✌🏽

    • @a.g8540
      @a.g8540 Před 2 lety

      @@offroadaddiction1042 the ratio in most pick ups is 1:2 height.. That means 25mm spacers lift the car about 50mm

      Sorry for making you all wait so long for an answer! The after ride was OK. Definitely not a good as it was, found it a bit more rigid in the back end, the front felt okay too but the shocks blew out after 6 months of hard 4wding,
      I now have Dobinsons 3” MMR Remote res shocks / springs in the front which are a unreal a year in.
      And most recently I have changed the whole rear leaf pack out for Old man Emu 300kg with all greasable pins etc as I now have a completely different rear end setup!

      Coil spacers and shackles are just for aesthetics really. It's okay if you spend most of your time driving on paved roads or in urban areas. If you have an older truck that you used for 4WDing, these will wreak havoc if you use them on stock suspension . Best thing to do if you want to lift is either set aside a decent budget for a new suspension kit, or just get bigger wheels.

    Hey mate just put shackle in the back made my leafs sit flat, and now when I put weight in the back bends around on itself, did u have this issue?

    • @offroadaddiction1042
      @offroadaddiction1042  Před 3 lety

      Hey mate! Nope I didn’t have any issues and still don’t to this day!
      Definitely does flatten out a little as there is more pressure but not that bad
