Winter at Cradle Mountain

I spent 4 days hiking and camping in the snow in and around Cradle Mountain. On 2 of the days I had blue skies whilst the other days were somewhat inclement to say the least. The whole area was covered in a mantle of snow which made the whole landscape quite magical. I was treated to a rather special sunrise on Barn Bluff as well as a sunset on Cradle Mountain. One of the best trips I have had weather wise to this magical area and I have no doubt that I will keep returning in the future. In my view winter is the best time to visit the area especially after a heavy dumping of snow !!

Pity I did not find this video earlier. Well done. Captivating images....unbelievable scenery. Nice to see a "YOUNG CHAP" out and about and enjoying life. I am coming back to Tassie this year and look forward to another great walk around Dove Lake and taking more videos.

Here in Tasmania is the most boring place probably cause I grew up here lol. I really wanna move to North America cause they’ve got tons of cool and creepy things up there cause I’m a huge fan of cryptids like Bigfoot and Dogman. I just love that stuff and I really wanna be one of those peeps who “hunt” for them

I am very happy with my Merrell hiking shoes, so l think it's time for the Merrell goretex hiking boots for winter. I have never bought Asolo. Have you ever given Merrell a go?
