  • My daughter's 2002 GMC Envoy had a weird problem where it was in gear and the parking brake was engaged it would still roll forward. This can usually be fixed with a simple adjustment of the parking brake. You have to remove the rear wheel, brakes, and rotor and then you will have access to the parking brake and can adjust it. There's parking brakes on both sides, I only adjusted one side, but it was enough that after the adjustment the truck would no longer roll if the parking break was engaged.

My grandfather taught me to use needlenose pliers to get those little nuts off to get the rotors off. That or a flathead until its far enough away from the stud to grab it with channel locks or vise grips.

I would NOT use a torque wrench as a breaker bar to remove. They are okay to use after is' loose..but you could damage the wrench using as a breaker bar. Just saying.
