    Good job. I believe your steering shakes because of your front wheels. ether wheels need to be balanced or rim is bent. Maybe the tire is bad too:( Try swapping out the front wheels with stock ones. I had a similar issue. Vibration started at 60mph for me. I put a stock nissan wheels and problem went away. Also got a 95 240sx stock. Want to turbo it. Its auto, not sure how that will work.

    I feel like that power is really low for that amount of boost. I made 290whp at 10.5psi with sti 525 injectors at about 88%dc and running nismotronic. I'm running a twisted motion v1 2871 turbo which is pretty much the same as what you're running. Did I hear him correctly in saying that it should be around 10.5afr under load? If so that's pretty rich. Mine is at 11.7 wot and Im running 10 degrees base timing.

    I think OP went with gt2871r he'd get around 300hp. He's down .5 in compression ands thr fuel in bc sucks. EBC would help maintain proper boost pressure, post haste performance has turned alot of high hp cars in the lower mainland but I've heard better things about independent speed shop ands racing greed. Btw OP, your drl Issue, I'm quite sure you can use a drl module from a pathfinder or a qx4, theres a couple thread about it.

    Timing is most likely overly retarted, judging by lack of power/hot manifold. Running rich at wot 10.6
    Enthalpy stock ka tunes put afr 11.5 at wot . Fully built ka should see closer to 12. high 11s. Timing is dependent on if you get any knock, safe pulling is .75-1 per psi . Your ka is built, so you can throw more timing at it. Don't compare dynos, too many variables, dynojets typically read 10% higher, also your in canada correct? so 91 octane? 93 in US.
    Fuel wise duty cycle 550s 90% yields 377hp crank/320wheels 100% 423hp/360w.
    Do you have a consult cable? you could log timing while driving, but I would check base timing as it's most likley off.

  • @kensouf
    @kensouf Před 6 lety +2

    Is there a way to have boost build throughout the rev range? Or is that where the waste gate comes in and starts working? Or does building boost throughout rev range something similar to boost by gear? Sorry if what I'm asking is slightly confusing I'm curious to why it lost a little psi as the car got higher into the rpms.

    • @BuiltLikeThis
      @BuiltLikeThis  Před 6 lety +1

      Kennation Gaming Im not exactly sure why it does that. I think what you want is to hit 15psi and stay there. Not go up or down. Its probably just due to the internal wastegate. If I were to do this over id go with external wastegate right from the beginning !

  • @evanmastermind
    @evanmastermind Před 6 lety +32

    Your duty cycle is so high and power is so low because your tuner has the car running pig rich. In the video he says he wants it between 10-10.6 afr. That is wayyyy to rich. At a 10 afr you could have misfire and gas in the oil. You should be able to get away with mid 11s afr with conservative timing especially with the lowered compression of the new pistons. This will reduce duty cycle and probably add power / response.
