Agree with Jerry. This needs to be video, not just audio. Gold.
Yeah. I keep saying this. Even Jerry's episode only pulled 75k views.... Would do way more with video
Gold, Jerry! Gold!
For sure! Need video!
I know this is annoying for the old people to hear but how could you not turn a camera on for this clashing of the unenthused titans??? From a business stand-point, you're cutting out a huge number of views you're gonna get from it altogether but from a fun stand-point.. I love seeing Jerry in his late 40's talk about stuff so let's get that up and running for next time.
This pod especially needs the visual. I discovered this pod three months ago. Loved the audio/visual eps. Then tried the audio only, and they were awful. Tried a bunch, couldn't do it.
Jerry's a boy in his early 70s
75k views is sad. They're wasting good guests and episodes by it being audio only. I would watch if it was video, I don't even listen tbh I just come here to say this every week
Podcasters of a certain age -kinda want to -kinda don’t want to -WORK! Therefore, the half-@ssed work ethic. Gentlemen, your porch rockers await.
Em I actually prefer no camera, these guys work hard enough and I like the fact they can just talk and not care what the lighting is like or what to wear ect . Plus I've seen em enough lol. O and also if u like listening when going to sleep it's relaxing knowing it's just a pod 😊 but I do understand your wanting to see as well
Calling Seinfeld's dog "lemons" ..Spade, you're my spirit animal 😂
"I always thought the jerry lewis telethon was too long." 🤣
It was!!!
Than was the theme back when that show started. It was a MARATHON TV show. I remember as a teenager (late 60's) the "walk" type fund raisers were sponsored by the mile. The more miles I would walk the more money I would raise for the cause. You would get people to sponsor you for so much per mile walked. Up to the time limit or distance allowed. It was a BIG DEAL to stay up and watch the whole program.......
Yes! And, "...if I have to have a black guy in there."
I was dying with the rest if the group there. Killed.
@@ZeroESG.goopootoob Spade just kills with his quick side comments
@@CharlieTWilbury Yep. Many times the best comedy is all about the throw aways.
What was that 90’s show called? “FELDMAN!” Spade’s under the breath comments are the best 😂
"I'll know it when I hear it." I laughed so hard while Carvey completely ignores him.
This guy JS dated a 17 year old
When he was 36.
Like anyone could ever forget the all time classic sitcom "Newman!". Of course it wasn't about Newman really, and centered around the misadventures of real life stand up comedian Kenny Bania.
Bizarro Kramer!
@@jacksonjack7838 And?
I love how long this episode was instead of rushed feeling like alot. If Seinfeld huge busy star can do this long they all can. Let's keep them longer
“alot” ISN’T A WORD.
If everyone's honest Howard Stern hasn't had a good show in like 11 years. He didn't embrace the Internet and he blocks the comment section on all of his social media platforms. That's not how social media works.
At least. He’s ruined especially now that he’s gone woke publicly
Seinfeld’s show was the funniest sitcom ever. Jerry came to Bakersfield and did a show in 2018 and had us in stitches. My wife, my 19 yr old son in a Seinfeld shirt who had watched every episode on dvd prior. What made it great was how he tailored his act to the area lampooning raisins for instance. It felt like he wrote it in the car on the way there while observing the terrain. Would love to see any of you guys live.
Thanks
Seinfeld show was great b/c it was about nothing. Most shows get stale really quickly b/c the writers feel the need to continuously develop the characters personalities/ lives. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the same. South Park and Family Guy as well. The Simpsons went woke a few years ago.
seinfeld was good but not even close to the best sitcom ever, Reno 911 is far funnier for a start, Father Ted, The Larry Sanders Show, Norm McDonald's show wasn't even that far off Seinfeld.
Jerry has frozen his comedy in the 90s.
@@reverandglennthe Simpsons had anti-homophobia and pro-Vegetarian/animal rights episodes since the early ‘90s. Define “going woke”
Are there a lot of raisins in Bakersfield?
“It’s poetry that makes air burst out of your mouth.” Love that.
Seinfeld absolutely destroyed Howard Stern with his comments.
Time stamp?
@@njcolvin92it was between 00:24 and 1:25:07. I forget.
"Who Cares how far you walk to take a leak" ....probably the best way to describe my attitude towards the attention around social class 😂
Seinfeld show. Nine years of wonderful comedic art.
I found the shows pretty predictable
@@MLM68
When someone is not impressed by the Seinfeld sitcom, I am always compelled to ask-
What DO you think is funny?
@@matthewhetzler4912 subjective. Some people enjoy Cheers. Some enjoy Louie. It's not linear for everyone.
That said, Seinfeld is damn good.
@@matthewhetzler4912 I just found the show predictable. if I could see most of the jokes coming, I really don’t find that funny. I literally remember one show I was watching it and thinking did I write this because I see it all coming. For example the show Kraemer gets the talkshow set in his apartment. That show completely ripped off the movie kings of comedy. I had to turn that one completely off.
@@MLM68 I don't think people realize how often the show was deliberately referring to their favorite movies.
Hearing Jerry say shit with such vehemence has made my day! 😂
Great episode. 3 comedy heroes. I wish David would get more credit for some of the gutbusters he peppers in these episodes.
Just finished the laundry. Next I'll tackle the dishes. If I've timed it right, this podcast will end just before my kid gets off the bus. I love the podcasts because it's like my two buddies are with me cracking jokes and telling stories as I do the drudgeries of my day. Thanks guys!
I wish this podcast was on video. Legends.
I'm literally doing Union Remittance excel spreadsheet reports at work as I listen to all your episodes!! Imagine doing this type of work in dead silence!! 😳 You make my day funny and happy 😅 Thank you, luv you guys! 🥰❤😍
I too wish this one was on video! Why not do all the episodes on video! Please? :) Oh, and of course, GREAT episode!
Not just video, not on zoom. It needs to be in a studio. They're acting like it's 2020
Spade needs to bring back the Hollywood Minute.
That’s how his stand-up should’ve always been like; no need to bring it “back”.
Yeah, someone who pokes fun at the Hollywood elites. Not someone who kisses their butts. We all know what this podcast likes to do without me needing to say it. I was amazed Dana got at least ONE question in obliquely referring to the disastrous reviews of Seinfeld's Netflix movie.
YES. Absolutely loved every single one. Spade in America too.
Such a great podcast! Woulda loved video too on this one! 3 of the greats and I truly laughed out loud a bunch!
Can’t believe Jerry mentioned (and loves) Pablo Francisco. So rad. Pablo is such a funny and underrated stand-up.
Jerry is a true professional and craftsman.
Fantastic! I loved it enough to listen to it twice, in a row, because there is so much content, great stories , behind the scenes, glimpses.
My god, what a great, stormy day in tennessee, lightning ,storms and rain outside, me, my puppy dog and a fresh episode of fly on the wall inside. Just doing chores and chillin with some herb. Nirvana
Enjoy it brotha

Listening to comedians pretending they liked Jere’s movie was the funniest part of this podcast
Jerry
“Jere” is less letter than“Jerry”. Just say Jerry.

Gold, Jerry! Gold!
He didn't even get a Bronze for Unfrosted.
@@jedijones like he cares!
I love seeing Jerry popping up everywhere and Unfrosted was great! This is my new favorite Fly on the Wall episode ✌
Is this the same Jerry Seinfeld that dated a 17 Year Old? Google it
The guy is a billionaire or at least close to it, and still feels the need to do stand up. That is very cool.
A lot of people think it’s not funny and it sucks. I think it fits Jerry’s personality so well and it did make me laugh. Is it amazing? No. It does have an appeal though.
By boomers for boomers, with fly on the wall you never have to forget the 90s.
This is great. I also really loved his “interviews” with Jiminy Glick
I LOVE that Jerry doesn’t let Dana do all the talking + makes David answer his questions!!! I could listen to David’s answers all day but he rarely gets/takes the chance.
Amen! Dana behaves like a child actor. Who wants to hear about Hans and Frans for the billionth time? Especially when the guest is Jerry Seinfeld?! Dana, please let Spade and your guests shine.
You 3 are not too old to do standup!!!! SOmeone said a comment like that and I immediately good comedy is ageless...love you guys!
Norm MacDonald and Adam Eget's podcast originally aired in 2013. That might've been one of the first comedic podcasts. Definitely one of my favorite.
Earwolf existed long before then. Not everyone's cup of tea, but many undeniably comedic podcasts.
@@williambartholmey5946 Pretending as if they invented what is identical to radio...priceless.
Ricky Gervais was before that
Jerry stopped doing Howard Stern because Howard had the temerity to point out that Jerry was dating a child.
@@DavidMcdonald-df8tbhow do people not know this!
No one studies & analyzes comedy to the degree Seinfeld does. He is so intelligent in general but he knows everything about stand up. Listening to Dana and David, who also are so knowledgeable & passionate about and successful in comedy, discussing comedy with him was a great listening experience. Really did feel like being a fly on the wall.
I can't tell you how much I loved listening to this. I consider Seinfeld one of the greats! I love listening to the discussion about comedy. Your approach, the pressures, the job. I can't get enough of it. Thank you!
Jerry Seinfeld dated a 17 Year Old when he was 36? Google it
Yes! Super ball mini! The sewer ate most of them. Loved the colours too
The thing about Seinfeld that was so different from any other sitcom was that it had no alpha as a regular character ❤
When I was a kid I could spend hours at my Grandpa's house because he had a lot of stairs that went upstairs.......and also downstairs and I would bring my slinky. I also absolutely loved the Big Wheel. Today as a guy in my 50's and I see a Big Wheel on tv I smile.
Stairs usually do go upstairs and downstairs. There's actually no other way for them to go.
Finally Jerry, finally!
Regarding comedians opening up for music: New York, an early post-Genesis Peter Gabriel gig, anticipation at a fever pitch. Rich Hall opens. He comes on and delivers one of the best opening lines I’ve ever heard: “Hi! I’m Peter Gabriel, and you’ve been screwed...” The crowd roared, and was won over immediately.

Great interview and insight from all parties involved.
During the week - 20 years ago - I'd make it my business to be home by 10PM to watch Seinfeld reruns on the local channel.
Being on the outside looking in, it's always mindblowing to me to learn how far back a lot of these guys go back.
Good sh*t ✊🏾
Great interview! I was listening while weeding my garden... The first comedian I ever saw was Jerry Seinfeld. It was like going to your first concert and seeing The Beatles. I love how you guys talked shop! My favorite is when you guys talk about working with comedians/entertainers from my childhood. Jay Leno's episode was more like that... Keep up the good work! We enjoy your show!
Maybe you saw his underage gf at the show if you went in the 90s. When he was almost 40 he dated a 17 yo.
They're all funny but I just love how Dana Carvey's impressions are spectacular! And I feel David Brenner had a 'Seinfeld' symmetry. ❤
Remembering Norm!!!
Please make this happen!!!
sooooo good ! Thank you !!
Best one yet ol sports. Hey now señor Spade, do you have a favourite skateboard trick? One that feels most satisfying, . Jerry's thoughts on the negative voice remind me of the madness involved with that voice and skateboarding. Thank you very much! 🛹🦦
Casting is amazing!!! Great happy movie, I loved it❤
Five minutes in, they're talking ng all over each other . Its awesome, they all are happy, loving the convo amongst themselves 👏👏👏👏
I was thinking the same thing and was kinda bummed when it was just audio, but WOW! This was one of the funnest interviews I ever heard, I was rolling on the floor when Jerry kept saying "Don't ask 'can I ask a question.'" Love it when everyone is that comfortable in the room. Keep up the good work guys, I just subscribed!!
Wow I love that Jerry is finally coming around alot. Great to hear from a really smart guy like him. My three favorite people. I can't wait to listen.

Another great show. Love Jerry of course. When it comes to "The Flow" or the "Zone" being a musician I always go for the "Groove" It's in the Groove. keep being funny.
thanks guys.
I can't wait to hear this...I don't know if they will touch on "Unfrosted" but it bums me out that most reviews are lukewarm or negative. Do they realize what an original concept it is and how much work went into it to make it accurate for 1963? I was 12 then and the nostalgia went straight to the heart. So many good actors.
""please stop announcing questions".... ha ha ha.....
Loving it from Australia.
The dog equivalent to a comedian is a cat. Only cats have the proper disdain.
This is what I'm saying!
Years ago i saw seinfeld live twice. Before he had family and after when he had and added family material to his act. The family material was next level hilarious.
That was so much fun! I saw Unfrosted it was great, highly recommend!
it was an unfunny pile of shit. What do you mean?
You work for production?
Anyone who watched Unfrosted said it was hot garbage
I knew it was a funny joke about pop tarts, going in. I laughed at the recalls with one liners from our youth making it connect. Not Oscar worthy but definitely funny.
This is Comedy Gold. The best, it's like Country Gold, to me, the best that was won't be created again but great memories. Someone just mentioned Jerry's age, we were all in disbelief. You look great. I loved your Coffee and Cars with Norm McDonald, perfection. Btw - Eng bulldog do not need to be walked also.
Oooo "Residual Darkness" that'd be a good Metal band name!
Best call back line in the movie was. The expiration date of the milk "july 3rd" the date that Jerry Seinfeld uses in a bit that he had probably 20 something years ago about milk
"Can I ask you one question"? Always gets me.....If you say yes OR no, discussion is over.
Video please!!! You’ve had great people on this show. You guys are comedians!! We want to see you! Superfly is good but this pod is amazing!! I almost don’t listen for the lack of video. Jerry is right. You can make money!! You could’ve had way more subscribers by now. Love you guys!!! ❤

Something other than poetry wanted to burst out of my mouth, it rhymes with comet. Thank you. I'll here all week. But seriously, get over yourself. Jerry's really out there shaking his ass. He's all dolled up looking good. He sounds good. He's 70. Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.
Jerry is battling with the hosts. They're brutal.
I love how Jerry says the incredible bits are what it's about. So what if you can buy a bigger house, thanks for the wisdom jerry.
So good. Can I add my comedic movies? These are for best script, delivery and comedic timing which is everything. 😬 Griswolds Christmas vacation, Father of the Bride, Weekend at Bernie’s, Lost and Found, Stripes, Employee of the month, Smother, Dumb and Dumber, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I Love you to Death, & Multiplicity. Jerry's candor is always refreshing. Agreed - If you're not funny, keep on moving. Maybe it's the spectrum. Maybe it's just most people are uninteresting.
Maybe it's that people don't like pedos.

Opportunity Knocks is one of my favorite movies... I've watched it many times... always makes me laugh and feel better and love the romance and the love interest in it too. Love the scene with Robert Loscia and the Chicago Cubs baseball... and how the family all fell in love with Dana's character and still miss him despite learning what he did. GREAT ending too.
