Craig Ferguson also employed the “walk into a close-up” camera technique. One minute he’d be 10 feet away, and then, all of a sudden, he’d walk right up to the camera and he’d be right there in your face, usually just making suggestive remarks in his usual playful manner. (He also did the close-up thing with his puppets … remember Sid, the foul mouthed bunny or Wavy the crocodile?!) 😄
I really miss his show … he was my all-time favorite late-night host!

You spoke about all the greats, Rock, Louis, Sebastian, Kat, etc. I think the most current legit goat is Shane. Maybe not so much his stand up, every single set, although I think sometimes yes, but him on the podcast is legit goat status.
The Jerry Seinfeld episode gave me anxiety. I love him , I just didn’t realize how intense he is. You two alone are the best ear candy.

I’ve never liked Jerry Seinfeld. He’s full of himself in a destructive, tyrannical way that grosses me out, so I didn’t even click into that podcast, but now these comments have me curious…
Jerry takes the business of comedy very seriously. I get the impression he has amazing discipline when it comes to writing and performing.

Ya know, I'd love to see you 2 do a televangelist bit. Maybe the church lady gets involved, could be a huge vein of laughs to be mined. I'd love to see spade as a caricature of a megachurch pastor with Dana as a church lady fan.....but I also think it would hilarious to see both of them as a preacher tagteam......the comedy may get pretty rapid fire in that scenario.

I can so relate with David and his neck issues. Have had two cervical fusions and nursing another herniated disc. David, Botox in shoulders and neck is a life saver.

@@AishatheMermaid ish, full core building and full strengthening but you have to push through. There's damage to the neck (herniated disc) so your muscles try to "protect" you through tightness and telling your brain, "hey in case you didn't know, there's damage sound the pain alarms". Botox semi paralyses the muscles so that you don't experience that. I've tried EVERYTHING and this has been my only relief.

I go for the direct approach in pick up lines. I simply ask the lady if she wants to fool around. When she says no, I ask, "Well, would you hold still while I do?" If she says she already has a boyfriend, I tell her "Don't worry, I won't get jealous.".
