    Going to do this switch panel swap tomorrow. Out of my 4 speeds all the way low and all the way high dont work. Replaced the blower resistor today and it made it blow about 20% harder but still no lo or hi. Swapped all AC relays still same result. My switch feels real wonky and worn out. So think this may fix it. But also going to replace resistor connector pigtail cause its heavily corroded. Thanks for this vid you really helped! I got a 2012 e150

    my main issue was the pig tails was wired incorrectly so it made my dash board smoke up i'll be taking a look at it here in a minute. but showing the wires on where they connect was the big thing i was looking for. the guy that i had hook them up said he was a mechanic yet he hooked them up wrongly and almost caused my van to catch fire. so i'll be taking a look and im going to wath this video over and over until i have the pig tail inserted correctly. thank you for making this video it helps alot. #NoNonsenseKnowHow

    Decently easy fix.
    I just hate that manufacturers don't want you changing parts on your own so they make the wires super short, adding extra time to repair, hoping you'll just take it to the dealer and have them charge you insane rates for labor.
    And that damn auxiliary power outlet in the center has to be the biggest pain in the ass connector to remove!!! That's the only connector I was able to remove with relative ease.

    Hi I was wondering if you can help me out. I purchased a climate control for my 2003 E-250 because the fan speed switch no longer was operational. The damn thing melted. My problem is after connecting the wires the orange wire got so hot it melted the wire nut. Can you please confirm the 4-wire sequence? Black to black. Orange with black strip to Orange with Black stripe. Red with orange stripe from van to yellow with red stripe on switch. And finally light blue with orange stripe on van to Green and white stripe on switch. I’m guessing I got it wrong. Can you help me out please? Thanks in advance...Nick

    Hello, I have a 2011 e250.. No heat, no matter which way I turn the temp control the AC stays on. Confirmed by compressor and lines freezing. Would the blend door be the problem? I can't locate it to manually turn it

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  Před 3 lety +1

      Sounds like you could have a faulty control head for the AC or maybe even a stuck closed AC compressor clutch relay. Or bad compressor clutch. Could be several things

      @@NoNonsenseKnowHow thanks, there is just one blend door right? Both heater hoses are hot, if I manually turned the blend door would that turn ac off/heat on? Or unhook ac relay and see if heat is blowing?

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  Před 3 lety

      @@rodwoods317 if the AC compressor will not stop running on regular vent then that problems should be addressed. But even with the AC compressor running, it should still blow hot so it sounds like yes you might have a problem with the blend door. There are three doors. • @Penguin545
      @Penguin545 Před 2 měsíci

      No-this repair will only address a lack of the blower motor sending air through the vents. If you cannot change modes from defrost to floor to mix, etc., then you likely have a vacuum leak, as the blend air door and controlled by vacuum and default/failure position will be defrost and cold.
