College Station and If I remember correctly the bars old name was shadow canyons
@@texasemt78 exactly. It is now Shiner Park, but the venue is still the same, with the double decker bar. They don't do any concerts there anymore, though. It's in Northgate, at the corner of Boyett and University.
Don't they own it?
Hey
Johnny paycheck
Think about all the 15 year olds running around at Koe Wetzel shows that were conceived thanks to this night...
Patrick Prnka haha, I’m only 16 but god damn this song is great, but koe wetzel is also great in his own way
top 5 comment of all time
Imagine all the alimony checks this night was responsible for
lol
Hahahahahaha hell yes! Just saw him 2 times in one weekend a few weeks back
69 years old and still rolling my joints all wrong! Still having fun! 😂
As long as they aren’t too tight and I don’t get shit in my mouth it’s a good joint. Hahaha
From the Uk, Just got introduced to CCR in 2022 and can’t get enough..especially Boys from Oklahoma
Man. They were babies here. Still out there kicking ass and making killer music
And now Cody's kid is out there killing the music scene, looking like Cody reborn.
Damn near all the Texas Country royalty on the same stage at the same time in BCS... wow.
God Bless Texas
Lol...These boys are from OKLAHOMA...Stillwater to be exact....I know I was there back in 86" when all this great music started!
@@shannonfox7431 no they ain't
@@jordancanales4 Ughhh...yes they are rookie. In 1994, Canada along with fellow musicians Jeremy Plato (bass), Grady Cross (guitar), and Randy Ragsdale (percussion) formed Cross Canadian Ragweed in Yukon, Oklahoma. The band was named after three of its original members with Canada taking on the role of lead guitarist, lead vocals, and prominent songwriter. They would later move to Stillwater, Oklahoma. From the time of Ragweed's formation until its end in 2010, the band released seven studio albums as well as three live albums.
In 2010, the band went on an extended hiatus due to slight tensions inside the band, and Ragsdale's family responsibilities, eventually breaking up in late 2010.
@@shannonfox7431 Cody Canada along with Stoney, Boland, Bowen, and Rodgers was born in Texas is what I was referring to
@@jordancanales4 I was referring to Cody, Stoney, and Jason.....Wade, Randy, and Bleu started in Texas. The other boys hit it big at the farm...Stillwater Oklahoma brother.
Right now in quarantine 2020 I could watch this forever, better times.
lightertheif1 😂😂 it’s so worth it and will still come back to it
@@brysonh.1093 4 months later still stuck in this shit watching this still to remember what it is like to be in a sweaty crowd with a beer sticky floor enjoying live music. Damn cant even visit my people in TX without a 2 week quarantine!
@@lightertheif1 Thats sure a bunch of Bull$h!t. Won't put up w/it much longer. Where I'm at it is business as usual. We ARE going to kick some ass resl soon.
@@benjaminpbarrett7607 y’all the reason it’s still goin crazy too. Don’t be so proud of that
@@riv6580 YOU ARE A MOROON OF YHE HIGHEST DEGREE. We don't have but very few cases cause we aren't "fooled" . Its the flu. It can be bad but I know MANY who've had it way back in Dec.'19 - March '20 who never knew what it was and lived through it without complications.
If you're scared stay home. Masks don't do anything but make you look STUPID. GET REAL. Your "sucked in" I can tell !!!
That state is PACKED with so many country music greats!
That has to be the best version of that song out there. I'm sure Gene is proud of you fellas.
After seeing this song performed live a hundred times in Stillwater in the 90's at the Wormy Dog, Calf Fry, and dang near every little bar in town, I have to say the new verse bring new life to it. Almost makes me want to learn all the new ones and start playing it again. ;)
I would have given 1000.00 for a ticket to see that live
This makes me feel old... So glad I grew up in high school with this music.
Maybe you are fucking old....me too bro ain't nobody give a flying hillbilly fuck!!!
This needs a fuck ton more views..... Legendary
I got turned on to CCR in '02 at the age of 16 when they released "17." Damn that song spoke to me then. That album along with Jason Boland Live at Billy Bob's and Charlie Robison's Life of the Party stayed on constant rotation in my car in high school. I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't see CCR or Jason Boland live for the first time until 2008 at the Larry Joe Taylor Festival that year. I had received a pass to run the video board back stage because I was a communications major at the time. 21 years old and had full access to everyone and everything. One of the best weeks of my life!
Back in 05-07 we used to listen to this although we got some really good dank from Tulsa (i lived in texas). Now I actually go to Oklahoma for all my weed needs. Its the weed capital of the world right now. them boys from oklahoma done out did themselves.
I,m 63 and this is my favorite sing along song.Don't forget us KY. boy's and our since. Fire up!
Amen brother. And I don't even smoke. But I will happily tip a bourbon while you do
Was at this show! Love the early 2000s Red Dirt/ Texas Country.
Best band you’ve never heard of.
Shame..
Thanks for sharing this video
What are you talking about? I've herd of Cross Canadian Ragweed, and all the other guests they had on stage. Stoney LaRue is one of my current favorites.
Only a figure of speech. Go listen to “living Tennessee” to understand what I meant.
Im a an okie misplaced in arizona this jam is to cool except I'll roll one big and fat never to long
This asphalt cowboys certainly heard of them....
@@asphaltcowboy7567this is not cowboy music though go to listen to Hank Williams or some lol
We played this song one of the last nights in country at FT Sill. We all went out and got trashed right before we shipped out for our first deployment in 03.
Here’s to being young, free & 18 again!!
Ft sill alumi here 2000
Thank you for your service
And not a single cell phone. I miss those days. Damn I’m old
does me watching this every single day make the views go up? Great live song!!
Not unless you watch it on a different device every time
Saw these guys in old Mexico during spring break back in the early 2000s . Oh and the bandidos had a biker rally going on at the same time. It was a great 3 days lol
Back when Wade looked 15 and Boland was chunky....good times.
After stoney came home from the military
I am a huge fan of Ragweed. This is my first time seeing this video. Outstanding video!!!!!!!!
I still have this dvd. Came with soul gravy when I bought it in 2005. Good times. Saw them and reckless Kelly in park city in 2007. Damn I’d love to see them again.
That song holds the most fun of anything I've ever heard!!!!! Too cool!!!!
Nobody parties like this anymore.
My old dad and Cody were best friends before he went big… he still has all the stories about those two feeding horses together. “Bang My Head” is actually about my pops 😂 we love you Cody
You gotta be from Pampa… my birthplace!❤️
Not many people can get away with rhyming madness with madness but Boland is one of them
Badness
pcale madness
Elliot Benson “well the mans gonna try to tell you about the reefer Baptist, the drug companies and his political madness... but there’s more of us than there are of them that wanna take a hit GEORGE DUBYA GO ON AND LEGALIZE THAT SHIT!”
Jason Boland is the George strait of red dirt music in my opinion.
Ozzy already did it
Glad to have experienced these guys in the early 2000's at my college town.
yeahp, lived in Stillwater back in 95....
Must have went to OSU.
Go pokes! 👈👉
First discovered these guys opening for Dierks Bentley in 2005 in Clemson. Didn't even stay for the main act, these guys stole the show. Could have sworn there was a song where they said "let there be fire" and the pyrotechnics went off, but I may be remembering it wrong, who knows.
Having my own little party, rockin out to this one! THANK YOU!
About 3 years before I discovered this greatness! Late, but I jumped on the band wagon & never jumped off...it took me all the way to Chicago! Btw: Boland loves a “hippy 8 ball”...hold a big ol’ hit & down ya some strong coffee before ya exhale!! ps: I’m a boy from Oklahoma!🤣
What ever happened to cross Canadian ragweed? Music ain't been the same without them. They were way beyond their time and so underrated
I know this comments 2 years old, but they broke up because Randy Ragsdale needed to be home with his son who has autism. And they always said that if it wasnt the 4 of them then the band wouldn’t continue
@@nra092098 just thought they had enough. guess my uncle, grady doesnt like to talk about it a lot
Jason Boland is the shit!!!
A ghost just played this song on my Roku Spotify app. I'd never heard of the song nor the group until a few minutes ago
Absolutely the best version I've heard in my 53 years, how the f@@k did I miss this!!! Feeling shamed I could've this...
First heard this song in a small Alaskan bar. This brings back the memories.
Richard Frye that’s awesome. For some reason I wouldn’t have thought anyone would be playing this in a small bar that far north.. that’s as north as it gets for the us anyway. So cool
Right here right now as he spoke of faith and Tim not writing a song, he has the old true Nashville on his side. By God this is how Nashville started out….
This is pure gold
I miss this band!!!!
Boy as a member of the ARMY I love the shout out big respect.
Thank you for your service.
I bet that was a legendary show.
Bravo ! Encore !

WHAT A GREAT CREW OF AWESOME SINGERS. LOVE ALL OF YOU AND THIS SONG!
I use to have this cd/dvd, watched it 10k times!!
One of the best concerts I've ever been to
Love this so much. The Departed could do this very easily...but some of the faces will look different...but it is doable. Thanks for sharing. Memories.
This is the best version I’ve ever seen! How did it take me this long to find it?!?!
That's Exactly what I thought when I first saw it! Both Video and the Audio were Spectacular and says allot because I've watched the Big name, High profile bands that lacked in someway in either one or both areas.
Love your music 🎸 🤠 🔥🎸♥️
just found these Dudes,love it,Poppa.
Geez🤩 all the RedDirt Royalty here. How have I missed this??
Love these boys! So fun to party with!!
My dad’s best friend was there when CCR “acquired” this song 😂
I just saw this and I'm laughing my a$$ off! I'm
Sending it to my son!
I play for a reggae band called Nichols & Dimes in Little Rock that started covering this a few months ago. We added the verse "Them boys from Little Rock love to pack a bowl of Razorback Red from the stash they just stole/ They're jokin', smokin', and having hella time, especially when they're tokin' with Nichols & Dimes.
Takes me back, love this stuff
Cody, Stony and Jason are just awesome!
Kudos and Credit is Due to Whoever was in Production in this Magic, (It was Filmed at Shadow Canyon in College Station, TX in 2003), So I'm Assuming "Just" a group of Locals did this "Work of Art"?
The boys from Oklahoma figures it out now there really wide and long
Been throwd out of that bar on my head.
Badass
Thanks for posting this. I’ve been wanting to see this for a long time. This was a bonus DVD that came with Soul Gravy CD in ‘04. Somebody “borrowed” mine and I haven’t seen the show since.

This song is referenced in Stephen King's novel "Doctor Sleep" from 2013.
Curious as to what's the correlation?
@@nostranger2u believe it or not, Stephen King is a Ragweed fan. So he just referenced it as someone listening to the song at the time
