- I filmed/put this up for Tyler/Town Mountain for free - if you could SUBSCRIBE to this channel, I'd really appreciate it!
This song was co-written by Jesse Langlais and Tyler Childers. - Hudba
I say he's very humble, came out and didn't want to steal the show, kept his hands in his pockets, sang the song, gave Kudos to Town Mountain and walked off the stage before the end of the song with a quick wave. Now that's badass!
Hell of an observation, that mans a national treasure
I say he looks uncomfortably high lol
That too!
@@granthall7664 lmao
Lol, that's how it's always supposed to go. It's how to show appreciation for allowing you to come up with them and be part of their show, not being any part of said performers. It's showing more than just one thing, with one action without speaking. Respect, appreciation, gratitude, admiration, etc
He could sing the phone book and I’d buy the album.
😂😂 deadass though
😂👌
No shit brother

I’m going to start saying this. Sorry for stealing it but it’s hilarious and true
Little red headed boy from Kentucky making huge waves in music ...
There's a mess of em' making noise right now! CZcams search USRT23 TYLER. Join us!
Kentucky is King!
And he love some DUB V, West, by God, Virginia!
Yes, I follow you to Virgie, woooo
@@andreawheatley5528 I just love him and his music!
So glad Tyler is healthy and not letting the notoriety make him crazy. Bless that backwoods boy from Kentucky.
He looked a little up there in the beginning lol
Mason Roundtree got them painkiller eyes
Dylan Mcwhirter damn oxy30’s lol
Dylan Mcwhirter, the guy next to me at this show was a nurse and he was wondering if he was gonna have to administer Narcan to Bobby Britt. He had those painkiller eyes bad.
"Fine morels and fine hotels and all thats in the middle" He lives by that line and if you don't get it you aren't a true fan!
This is as if a portal opened between Appalachia today and the 1970's folk scene. This is straight up gold and its timeless
Simeon Teitelbaum solid country gold
He has 2 house residency sessions that are just fabulous . Such a t incredibly talented soul
🙃
Agreed. Crowd had no idea they were witnessing a historic performance.
Yes
if this isnt the pure unfiltered swagger of a ginger man i don’t know what is.
Came here for Tyler but left with a taste of that Banjo man
*My neighbor likes this song so much they threw a brick through my window so they could hear it louder!!*
LMAO but you gotta be lyin’ 🤣😂🤣
Trouble is I can’t play it loud enough!! LOL
😂😆🤣
Now that's hilarious 😂
Went to school with Jesse, and he would always be sittin' out on his porch playin' his banjo after school. So awesome to see'm killin' it!
He's a great guy!
Chris Bramley where are you all from anyways? If you don’t mind me asking.
They are killin it soundly, as good as it gets right there
Oh shit you from Old Town? Good friend of mine grew up with him too, didnt know Yankees could pick like that
Yup, Jesse is a real dude. There ought to be a statue of him in downtown Old Town someday.
“Do my eyes hail my condition does my breath show where I’ve been” is one of the best lyrics I’ve ever heard
Tell? Not hail
AM I TALKIN ANY LOUDER, THAN THE COMPNY THAT IM IIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN
This music makes beer taste better
For sure but Tyler sure does make my heart heavier too. He really feels into the hurt and pain within the human condition and you can feel it in his voice and lyrics.
Amen brother!
Can we just show some love to the red rocks sound team there levels/mix are always on point
Can anyone tell me what Tyler says just before walking off the stage? The crowd roars approval…I’ve listened at least 10 times and cannot understand it! 🤔
True story ❤

Hahahah!!
Hahahahaha yes
Yes!
✌✌
made my beard grow a half inch too :P
I love Tyler's face when he first looks around at the crowd!
Priceless
Rare to see him crack a smile like that. Love to see it.
The joy of red rocks is that every artist you go see has the same reaction: "whoooaaa"
@@cpresto2 That's not limited to artists. You can always tell someone's first time bc they are looking at the rocks as much as the show!
Timmy boy must be a wild-man. As I see it in those eyes. I’m highly trained in the art of spotting people like myself. Lmao
He also seems to be a hell of a guy. From all I’ve heard and read about him. He’s one of my favorites since first learning about him.
This is real country music what it was founded on. Thanks Town Mountain and Tyler Childers.
Now it's a formula. Timing, key, cadence can all be overlayed from 12 pop country songs on one track and won't sound off because it's literally the same shit
Dam right.......... Raw roots country!
I wonder how many amazing songs Tyler has forgotten that he wrote?
Tylers forgot more about songwriting the most of us will ever know
Ain't that the damn Truth! Amen to good music!
You read my mind . Damn we are probably missing out
Version x a z- as a a a a.
Iv listed to this song on repeat for 4 hours. The only thing getting threw this Hump Day at Work!! My New Favorite song
So many people are missing out man. Tyler Childers and Town Mountain need to be heard
My first concert was Randy Travis when I was 3 in 1989. I "left" country music by the time I got into middle school. I've been searching for years for real music that isn't metal. 33 now and I'm convinced REAL country music is alive and well. We, The People are getting our voices back. Now we just need Hank3 to re-enter the fold.
You ain’t a shittin brother!!!
They ain't ready for that shit storm of a party yet
I sat row 11 for this show. Still gives me goosebumps to hear Tyler sing. What a damn good show
so was he expected to be there?
The way Tyler walked off at the end was bad ass
He was bad ass and giddy walking on.
Dropped a mic no one can pick up
The only bad thing about this one is that it just ain't long enough!
Epic live recording in a one a million setting. Love how deferential Tyler is. One for the ages. I'll be 90 and pulling this one up.
My neighbors have grown to love this song 🤘
I hesitate to share this music because I fear the mainstream will destroy its purity like they do everything else. Apart of me wants this to be all over country stations but the other half wishes it to stay down low, under the covers, where we can truly enjoy it.
We must protect him at all costs.
Well said Mr Trautmann, I couldn’t agree more
💯
Everytime I’m driving with my sister or my parents and Tyler comes on they hate it so I think we are chilling! They don’t know real country
Well said
This is the best song I've ever heard in my 54 years, why? Because I been there
Me Too. ..and I'm 54. Do ya still feel good? I feel 25 everyday and Yes Sir, I know I'm blessed 👍🏻
@@michaelhedgepeth5106 I'm not there yet, but my dad just turned 79. He's finally feeling a little old, but at 75 he sounded like you. "I still feel like a kid!"
At 71 he started a fistfight with a big ol' youngster!
Yup 🤘💀🤘
Amen brotha. You dont sing about shit like this unles you been there
U and me both
I just became a fan of Town Mountain.
Check out their cover of "I'm on Fire." It's fantastic.
I adore this man .. the collaboration is perfection
Banjer man I recognize from festivals n such. Who’s left onstage after?
How'd I miss this Tyler tune? Struck gold tonight.
It's not tyler's song so sadly not in an album
It’s on Apple Music with Tyler
The studio version can be found on Town Mountains album, New Freedom Blues.
🎉😢😮😮😮😂🎉😢😂😮😂😢😮😢😢😮😮😢😂😂😮😂😂😅
My goodness Tyler is amazing. His voice always gives me chills. He is so talented. Not very many artists that talented making music these days. He has definitely been one of may favorites for a few years now.
You've got to check out Zach Bryan, he is really great too.
Tyler is always superb live, but his vocal ability really shines on this song. Massive talent.
Years later it’s still a song that makes you feel good all the way to your soul
Sounds to me like it's about being majorly fucked up and getting paranoid and trying to keep it under wraps so no not really
There is so much strength in Tyler’s voice it’s like it gives the song a lot of its soul
His face tells it all
This song hits home in the most awesome way
the voice of a generation
What a wonderful place and live song !! like an american dream for a frenchy !
Absolutely no one:...
Tyler Childers: How bout it.
Did Tyler have his car parked in the fire lane, and he just ran in real quick to sing? Cannot get enough of this song.
It’s called humility
They were opening for him at Red Rocks. So he was already there lol
@@jakepb27 explain please
He's a busy guy I guess. He might have needed to hit the road right after.
I'd guess he was trying to get off stage so he doesn't take the shine off the band for the applause.
Goddammit...just when I think I've heard every one of Tyler Childers' songs, I stumble across a gem like this.
That little banjo riff right before the song starts is the cherry on top
This song sounds better live here than the album version. I am so thankful for CZcams. I would never get to hear this otherwise. "Do my eyes tell my condition does my breath show were i have been am I talkin any louder than the company that I'm in." I think I have been there once! Thanks Master Swa! Absolute Gem!
“.........there’s people in the corner and they’re starting to stare, making fun of me”. Awesome line!
You ain't kidding, I have had several different versions of songs on my playlist that were better than the originals. Lost a few from copyright issues. Not all perfection is created in a studio...
Been there myself a time or 2.
I constantly have the song start in spotify and hop right over her to listen to this version haha
I’m lucky to have stumbled across this man they call Tyler. He is good.
He is beyond good....NEVER heard a bad tune outta him!!! I'd listen to him since the dang phone book!!!!!
Chills when he begins singing dear lord
Those are the eyes of a man who has been "livin' on the high side" for quite some time. What a legend.
If you have never been to the Red Rocks that's the best venue ever! The lights of Denver down below. 1980 Willie Waylon and Doc Watson
Worst part of this song is when it ends.
I fucking hate that part
I feel like Tyler and town mountain should become a thing
For real....yes.
with his vast vocabulary and phrasing , lyrics he is so good at painting a pic of his work puts you right up front
Absolutely.100%.im from southwest va.i guess its just a geographical connection but he puts you right in the middle of his soul.
@@justinbailey3946 SW VA native here as well.
Tyler and Cody Jinks two of my favorites right now. Real music Is lacking this days but those two deliver every time.
I’m down south in Australia & I found Tyler about 3 years ago. Along with sturgill, billy strings, Chris Stapleton & town mountain. This is the music we all need to hear....not the bullshit mainstream stuff. I come from the mountains down here & this music just soothes my soul. Marcus king has popped up as well.
If any of the above artists see this comment, or our breathren in the US can get a message to them, can you please send them down here. We need them
Cheers
Damien Stephenson
Check out Zach Bryan, Ian Noe, and buffalo wabs and the price hill hustle. You won't regret it.
Born raised and educated in Eastern Kentucky (Louisa), and presently residing in Brackley, England, Taylor makes me homesick!
this is still my favorite CZcams video of all time and there's a reason I come back to it non stop.
It's so entertaining to me seeing people say his new stuff sounds like him starting to sale out... If all his music was the same he would just be a norm. Sorry my friends this man is a true artist. Writing his own music which shamefully doesn't happen much these days. This man changed music for me in all the right ways. I'll see you with our hounds in heaven good sir!
Paul Lamphier he hasn’t sold out a bit in my eyes. You can wander a lot and still be in the same genre. Looking forward to see what the future holds for him and his music
I could listen to him sing nonstop for years
I think it's a good thing some might disagree but this song Relates to a lot of my life. By the way I'm 62 years old And live in life my way.
The fact that you were able to sing with him is a privilege ! Great song, music today is trash thank y’all and Tyler keep it up !
Being at Red Rocks live watching Tyler is badass!!😍
One of the best shows one will ever see!
One day God willing
I'm tired, snowed in and playing this on repeat. Balm for the soul.
Hope you made it out. ;)
Time for the snow once again
Facts!! Beautiful music
Gods I love Red Rocks. Seeing Childers there would be something to remember.
Man this is what that clam country rock is missing good old fellas playing the music Nashville could learn something from this
This is a great song , Tyler is so good, the fiddler plays a mean fiddle and I really love that banjo, good old time country music.
This song, with Town Mountain, (though not this particular video,) is how I discovered Tyler Childers, and he changed my life for the better.
I lost my Tyler virginity to banded Clovis. Now hes my fav artist in the galaxy with whiskey myers second.
Folsom Blues28 check out billy strings

Nona Davis his stuff is unreal
I’ve been focusing on my breathing...
The face he made when the crowd goes crazy after he starts the song gives me cold chills god I love this guy 🔥🔥
I think I listened to this 50 times in the last week.
He kills it as soon as he opens his voice
singing with his hands in his pockets🫡
Such an underrated song. Describes my college days to a T
Putting the Mountain back in Mountain Music. Every time I hear Tyler I feel my hillbilly roots.
THE BEST VERSION OF THIS SONG!
tyler's real people, he will never forget where he came from. just a young man havin fun.
In my opinion, this is one of the best songs ever made.AWSOME!
If they did an Xray scan on Tyler he’d be 90% lungs. It’s crazy how much air that dude moves, his voice just grabs the attention of the room.
Listen to this a few time a day.
So much love for Tyler! ;-)
When you see me out tonight tearing up the promenade
People stop and step aside so I can move along
Is it just because they're friendly or the fact that I am gone
Stepping over lines of the paths they travel on?
Living on the high side
Better keep it on the low down
Get to feeling just right
Think I'll have to go and sit down
Do you reckon that they notice? Do you think that they believe?
I've been getting into meanness on the dark end of the street
Do my eyes tell my condition? Does my breath show where I've been?
Am I talking any louder than the comp'ny that I'm in
Living on the high side
Better keep it on the low down
Get to feeling just right
Think I'll have to go and sit down
Sweating like a preacher in the presence of the Lord
Shaking like a leaf in the middle of a storm
Jawin' my bone, trying to make you see
I wouldn't much fret if my friends were all here
But there's people in the corner and they're starting to stare
Having a ball poking fun at me
Living on the high side
Keep it on the low down
Get to feeling just right
Think I'll have to go and sit down
Living on the high side
Straighten up and try to act right
Keep it on the low down
you can see the crowd's genuine excitement when Tyler comes out. So awesome.
Tyler is one talented man!!!
Incredible voice Tyler! The band is incredible!
That's how a legend does it!! Comes in and leaves"on the low down"..
That was so cool, how he walked off and gave the glory to "Town Mountain".
Thank you god for such a real man and singer this is what the world and I need real words and feeling love it man !!!!!!!! Keep it up
