- Campaign group LGB Alliance has accused the soon-to-be-closed Tavistock NHS trans clinic of "transing the gay away".
The organisation cited data which showed that two-thirds of children referred to the clinic identify as gay or bisexual, compared to one in six members of the general population identifying as non-heterosexual.
It follows recommendations from Dr Hilary Cass, who is leading an independent review into Gender Identity Services for children and young people.
She said there was a need to move away from a model of a sole provider and that the number of children seeking NHS help “is now outstripping the capacity of the single national specialist service”.
Director of the Gay Men's Network Dennis Kavanagh slams the "scandal": "This is an open-air live experiment on autistic and gay kids with experimental drugs!"
What are the arguments against closing the Tavistock clinic?
There's no such thing as transphobia where was this so called phobia before.
The only good argument against closing the Tavistock clinic is that the NHS will continue to offer the same 'services', only in a more decentralized capacity. It's going to be a lot easier to hide controversies and mistakes if they do it away from the Tavistock name.

These kids are purely anxious and no surprise here a nice sharp course of testosterone cures the same anxiety, makes you more open to life and makes you far more confident, they don't want to be an opposite sex they're just angry and frighted and insecure about being themselves.

Same, I fully support gay rights. I was harassed for many years in my village during the 90s because my best friends was a gay couple. I'd get all the slurs thrown at me, so I always sympathised with their cause and what they was fighting for. But LGB is where I stop at. The rest of the alphabet is pure tomfoolery and is making a mockery of everything that LGB people fought for.
And don't even get me started on that G-neutral and non-binary fakakta. I can't keep up with it all. It's like every day I'm seeing a new gender. It's utter madness.

Sally Dixon, a biological man, who has been convicted of multiple sex offences against children has been sentenced to 18 years to be served in a WOMEN’S prison, HMP Bronzefield, that has a mother and baby unit. This is completely inappropriate and needs to stop. The comfort and fantasies of a very small percentage are being prioritised over the safety of women and children.

I dressed up as a cowboy when I was little, and played at war aeroplanes with my brother. No one thought I was ‘in the wrong body’.
Our son had a pushchair and a doll. He loved it. Now when we tell him he just laughes about it. Leave children alone. Let them have a childhood because being an adult these days is no picnic .

Can’t agree more as a parent, the parents that allow these treatments must be absolutely mental children are not old enough to make these decisions. My oldest daughter told us she was a bisexual then when she became an adult she realised she wasn’t., so if she had said she was a trans man and we gave her all the drugs and surgery the mental anguish and stress on her would be insufferable. These groups are playing with fire and are dangerous. I am not transphobic people can live the lives they choose but you cannot force everyone to agree and your rights cannot trample over all other rights.
What literally makes no sense is that these same clowns tell us to love all body types, no matter how unhealthy. Yet in the same breath, they say people should hate their body parts and cut them off

Well speaking in terms of the data the rise of the single parent home over decades correlates perfectly with a sharp inter generational rise in border line personality disorder which one of its key features is not having a real sense of personality, they're literally building a broken personality that should be whole from two parents through the lens of psychosis which they use their narcissism to reinforce then finally their severe violence or mental abuse when you dare threaten their world.

On GBTV last night Fr. Calvin Robinson spoke so lucidly about this it that I can't paraphrase it; but I cried.

As a mother of a 'Daughter' who started out as bi, she now claims she's trans. I'm trying to keep her out of the echo chamber and give her a view from a different angle. Julia's guest is spot on and I wish she would watch this without it causing upset.

Here, in Ireland, the "culture wars" are also being fought on this matter - a well known newspaper columnist uses the term "gender fluid" in - obviously - an approving manner - we seem to be required - not only to get our heads around a person who is biologically male being of the opposite sex (and vice versa for a person biologically female) - but also around a person who "identifies" as being neither male or female !

I get the impression, watching various CZcams videos on the subject, that Transgender people beleive that sex and gender are two seperate things i.e. Your sex is a biological definiton of being male or female but gender is fluid and anybody can be a woman or man by stating that definition as their preference. If that's the case, why do they have to have surgery or drugs to affirm this state of mind?
Biological sex is immutable and cannot be changed. The rest of your comment isn't strictly true. Gender reflects what any given culture makes of being a man or a woman. So, for example, one culture might expect women to be strong and independent. Another might expect them to be weak and obedient. So, yes, gender means different things to different people. Problems arise when people start thinking that biological sex can mean different things to different people. It can't. We've got two different words because they mean two different things.
@@skathwoelya2935 I take on board what you say but transgenderism seems to be mostly prevelant within the western civilisations in which Man and Woman are defined pretty much the same way amongst these cultures. For the vast majority of people their gender 'label' aligns with their biological sex and they are not confused about the meening of sex in it's biological form. I beleive your definition is more closely aligned with emotions and feelings which can and do vary amongst members of both sexes. Because I can cry and feel emotive does not define my gender as female just as anger and machoism doesn't make me any more of a man. We are all capable of any definition of feelings. Your argument still doesn't qualify why there is a trend to change your body's physical attributes when those attributes are not required to identify as any one gender.
Maybe that's how it started but now they think they are fully the sex they claim to be and if you try to snap them out of it or disgree you're being "hateful, violent" and deserve to be killed

What annoys me is the completely unfair and incorrect assumption that "If you disagree with me you must hate me. If you don't go along with my biological fantasy you must have a phobia".
It's not automatically hateful to disagree with someone's ideology. I have a friend who always votes differently to me in elections, but we don't hate each other or discriminate against each other. We just have different views in some things. I don't believe a man can be a woman just because he feels he's a woman. Feelings, regardless of their importance, do not transcend reality. But I don't hate these people. I wouldn't have them harmed or ill-treated in any way. I just don't go along with the ideology. It's really unfair to assume people who don't agree with something must therefore hate those who hold that view.
