- A video from Manchester reportedly shows black-clad male trans activists from the group Manchester Trans Rise Up dressed in masks to block women from speaking about women's rights in front of a statue of Emmeline Pankhurst.
Campaign group Standing For Women had been planning to speak in front of the statue as part of an event which said it aimed to reclaim a part of Manchester for women's voices.

The police need to stop worrying about being seen as progressive and respond appropriately when men are manhandling/assaulting women. Assault is still assault and a man in a dress is still a man.

My perfectly reasonable comment has been declined. I was giving my opinion in a rational, measured manner. I am a retired teacher, this shouldn't be taught in schools, no woman should be manhandled in public and I am concerned for my granddaughters' future having this ideology forced on them. Women being pushed around by men, just ghastly and unacceptable.

Women have been pushed around by men for millenia. Just check since when women have the right to vote, own their own business, have a job, earning their own money, being allowed to study... and trans rights and CRT are the problem? MEN are the problem. They are gate keeping women since ancient times. And - spoiler alert - women are still not equal to men when it comes to the workplace. For we have to be "protected", or are not "as smart", or "could get pregnant". Lovely. I'd rather get my daughters and granddaughters a full education, so they can defend themselves against gate keepers and "protectors", who will not allow them their freedom... or equal pay for equal work.

I'm all for trans rights, woman's rights (notice how I didn't put them together. While.i do recognize transpersons as a community and each individual based on their preferred pronoun - trans rights and woman's rights are very different. Trans have a whole different set of rights they are trying to fight for and shouldn't be meshed for woman's rights. I understand transwoman fighting for woman's rights ect because everyone can fight for another's rights.) What I do not condone is putting your hands on other people regardless of what's being said, what's being debated.
