- So boys i absolutely sent it and put my skyline on washers. For those of you that dont know, i took out my springs from my coilovers and replaced them with washers. In this video I do the fronts and dial in the back on springs. I do put them on washers in a future video.

Can you do this on separate shock and spring assemblies. I have a 13 speed3 and my spring sits in a perch next to my shock, so if I did this I wouldn't have a spring there at all. Is that too unsafe? The entire rear weight would be on the shock when it's meant to be on the shock + the spring
U can although I wouldn't recommend washers at all. Springs control the height of a vehicle while the shocks control the ride quality. Save and get nice coils
I have the same shock and spring set up, that I can't seem to find stiffer springs for its slammed but wheels hit fenders when I hit bumps can I keep springs but add washers with the bump stop on the shock to just stop the shock from compressing all the way to stop my wheels hitting fenders?

So, we know that metal washers work... but what about a ton of rubber SAE washers? I wonder how long some 1/2" x 2" ones would last. Might make for a better ride, but I think it would settle a TON over time. Any ideas?
I honestly think that they would be done for way sooner than later, bump stops alone break down fast when thats all thats holding up the car so i don't think rubber washers would do any good, might be worth a shot though!!

No you are going to destroy those within the first few days. Even hockey pucks get destroyer due to the weight, you gotta use metal

Question... can you run washers on struts or do you have to have coilover bodies?
you can but the way you adjust the height on stock struts is adding or removing washers instead of adjusting the coils on washers

yes in theory you can stack them on your struts and remove your springs i wouldn't recommend it though just get coils

Can i put washers in stock shocks by removing stock springs?
yes but wouldn't recommend as the spring is what holds the car up normally, the shock only helps with dampening and shouldn't really be used as the whole shock/spring (washer) combo

What’s the size of your washers bro? Tryna do a similar thing on my Veloster, running on bc racing. Just gunna slap on the washers, stiffen up the ride, and hope for the best lol
I honestly dont remember, the inner diameter of them is just bigger than the strut valve thing
@@dfitzwm it’s cool bro, thx for replying though. Me and my homeboy already did it, 27 washers on the valve, 3/4 of and inch bc BC racing has some thick strut valves. Thing is stupid slammed. Can’t wait to see y’all at the shows when this thing is done

The best I could figure out was 1/2 inch diameter and 3LL could be another size option. The town and country hardware store part number is 03830
