- Peter Rowan's "Angel Island" has always haunted me. It tells a tragic tale of a Chinese couple that was split up when immigrating to America through Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay. Sadly, this story still rings true today for many who try to move here. We can do better.
Alex Lacquement joins me on upright bass in the beautiful Mansion at Strathmore. Thanks to Samuel Prather for mixing the audio, Mecca Filmworks for filming and editing and Betty Scott for the support!

What an absolutely amazing recording. I never knew this Peter Rowan song. I think it may be the saddest song I’ve ever heard but the most beautiful words. You guys’ playing and voices together are beyond words.
Thanks! It is a sad song, indeed.
Fabulous!
What a nice surprise. Turned on CZcams and there this was, front and center. Your two voices harmonize together beautifully.
And as a long time fan of Jack Cassidy ( Jefferson Airplane), I've always felt that the bass could be a lead instrument. Well done Alex.
Beautiful
Great stuff Bhoys
