You then allow that vicious animal to run rampant in society, you are fully responsible for the actions and damage created by that animal. Parental responsibility over children is no different. Today more and more parents turn children into vicious animals then let them run rampant. If you allow the government to raise your children the government will. Four people are dead and she and her husband could have prevented it, on a number of occasions. Including the day of the shooting, when they were called to the school and asked to take their son home and refused. This is the only correct outcome in this situation. Brought him to a gun range where he shot at human silhouette targets. Ignored him when he screamed for their help, which they both laughed at. Left the guns and ammunition unsecured around the house. The "mother" called the kid an "oopsie baby", and said after the mass-murder she wouldn't change a thing in what lead to a mass-murder at school. It doesn't take a Magellan-class navigator to see where this was going!

If your kid takes your car without your permission, goes to a party, and gets in a DUI crash, causing a death, should you as the parent be held criminally responsible for involuntary manslaughter? How about if your kid overdoses on drugs and dies. You didn't give them the drugs or try to help them with their drug problem and they die. Of course you could civilly liable, but I don't agree that you should take someone's liberty away due to the actions of their family member, unless they aided with the crime or had knowledge about what was going to happen and didn't act. Am I missing something about the facts? It seems the prosecution only proved that she was a negligent parent. How does that equate to criminal liability for manslaughter?

Being brought into the Court Jennifer gets shackled as if she is one of the most dangerous criminals on the planet. In another case, a young strong criminal, who stabbed and killed four young students in a rented apartment, in his bright orange suit (walked freely) without handcuffs or shackles was brought into the Court. He sat down by a woman. Unlike the way Jennifer got treated in the Court, why was this strong and young criminal being treated so kindly? He was a vicious criminal.
