My theory is the two movies, "Get Out" and "Us", are in the same universe. The "Tetherd" experiment was an attempt by the "Coagula Cult" at creating bodies to transfer their consciousness into, instead of abducting people for that purpose. So "Us" is a kind of prequel.

So, ideally there could have been areas or states where the tethered didn't take over. I can see the original posters theory as being a thing. @@beautyforashestv5959 no cap in my dream I met this guy and on his arm was a tattoo of a slave drive and slaves, then I saw his tattoo move, I was like I'm just going to ignore that. Then this big buff guy(thanos) shows up and this tattoo guy fights with thanos, his about to put a kabab stick in thanos's head when that breaks. I run to my kitchen grab a knife but instead of going back to my sisters room I run to my moms room cause its closer and even in a dream I'm not about to run towards the danger. I lock the door and start thinking of places to hide then all of a sudden thanos breaks the door. Then I woke up. I only remember this dream because it happened this week.

I can tell he takes the music to his films quite serious bc "Sikiliza Kwa Wahenga" was hella scary and then like POOF! We're bopping our heads to "Redbone" 👏💯. But when Mr. Peele had Mr. Abels returned for Us and I heard "Anthem" - I can honestly say, I was terrified AF 😱 What an eerily, dope AF opening theme though!! One minute ur getting chills from fear but all of a sudden, you're bopping ur head at the same time 😅😅.... And then taking us right into Janelle Monae's "I like that".... Crazy how he thinks of things like this - I love that abt him!!! 💕💯👏

I truly can’t believe how well it came out , I went in the second time knowing the ending and looking at the main family much more closely and paying much more attention to the both sides , without spoilers all i can say is go see it , if you’ve seen it .. go see it a second time! One of the most though provoking horror films of our generation .. well film in general. He broke the sophomore jinx beautifully and I’m so excited for future work.

He has a glimpse into both worlds and therefore is able to extract what he needs from each for these genius movies.
