He looks like a director now with the salt and pepper beard. ❤
He is such a genius, his life has become a meta-bit. It's like he thinks his whole existence is absurd for his own entertainment.
He does 😍😍😎😎
The way he dresses has changed as well since "Us" came out. It's almost like he evolved like a Pokemon lol. There are many subtle differences between him now and him 10 years ago. I can't tell if this was always the real him, or he changed, or it's somewhat performative. Whatever it is, I endorse it. The man is inspiring.
@@AbaMiguel definitely agree with the endorsement 🙌🏾😅 I will never forget one sketch from Key and Peele. Megan breaking up with the boyfriend. 🤣 He's giving me Steve Jobs meets Spike Lee dress code. Its super cool.
Jordan Peeleberg
The way Key and Peele has wired my brain it feels like this is one of his characters 😂! Amazing to see where he has come.. may it continue forever
I feel the same..its like watching one of his characters and I'm waiting for Key to unzip the Trevor Noah mask
Same😹😹
Yeah😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Same. The whole show feels like another skit.
Nooicee!! lol
Two incredible men telling each other they deserve all the flowers and they are both right
Why should my comments be any less repetitious than the offensive ads?
Only one question for CZcams:
Do you really think more frequent and more offensive ads can lead to profit?
Very true statement
Fun fact, they're both mixed with black and white. Mixed people bond over this.
@@dailynews5683 I've heard this too!
well said. important theme of Peele's work - this thin veil between horror and comedy; similar to the line about music scoring a scene. first thing that caught my eye, even in the early Key & Peele sketches - we laugh to keep the darkness at bay.
Jordan is looking like a wise philosopher these days
I'm getting a Cornell West vibe
@@elliesings9508
Exactly
@@elliesings9508 Yes - my sentiment as well!
He always was, just focused on the comedy
Jordan went from the stoner dude to dignified philosopher keep doing big things🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Can’t believe this is the guy who had me ROFL with his friend 10 years ago. Now he’s such a great leader to the community.
which one?
I said the total opposite about trump in your own community.
I am just so impressed by his sincere humility. So many other "stars" show confidence and graciousness, but this legend of a comedian gives nerdy vibes of someone who still needs to prove their salt.
I still look at that show and laugh
What community?
Jordan's morphing into that University Department Head who has 3,000 loose files piled in his office, but will always send an employer a glowing reference for you!
🤣🤣☠️☠️👻👻
Peele is looking more and more like a university professor. Love his work and this new look.
Yes! I would sell my house and move to get to any university if he taught a class.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing!
Well he is teaching us by example 😚
If you watch Key and Peele, you realize that it’s dark and half of the skits could have been horror or suspense.
yea like the wrestler smack talk video! lol
THE FLICKER….
The racist zombies
@@kittfln8168 Yes!! 😂
Definately even that one with the vampire who has to be invited in when they were playing women
When it’s all said & done, Jordan Peele’s career will be studied. He’s a genius
Indeed
Peele was also on MadTV. I don't know why that is over looked. He has been killing it for a long time. It's wonderful to see his evolution into greatness
Into GREATNESS! For real 🙏
Thanks. I never made that connection.
Yes alongside with Aries Spears, those ones were amazing. Killing SNL easily. Everybody forgets Key&Peele are sketch OG's
It's moreso that MadTV in and of itself gets overlooked, unfortunately. There's a lot of fantastic work on that show.
Yes
If u watched and loved Key and Peele you know the horror was ALWAYS a part of his repertoire. And how great he was at creating and producing it. Shamon meegan
I was waiting for this comment! Exactly! Key and Peele had some DARK HORROR undertones!
@@Kristalraq yup! The make a wish kid is one of the best
@@IliasLiako Yes!!!! Guptaaaaa! Guuuuuptaaaa!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The baby too!! Gogo gaagaaaa
literally feels like he is playing a character lol he is so talented
Ahahahaha same I've never see him out of a character, it's weird! Just seeing him makes me want to laugh
Right, he looks like a college professor at a HBCU. Even his speech pattern sounds like Obama. I was watching and wondering what is going on. Jordan Peele movies definitely have an audience. I am indifferent about his work, it's very silly. Neither here or there that he's being treated like Alfred Hitchcock. He is making his own niche, like M.Night Shyamalan but better. Not scary at all.
@@purplepheasant4776 youre all over the place with this review geez!
francis ford coppola lol
Peele is the type of movie director and writer I've been waiting for all of my life 🎥🎬🍿
Me too!
Get Out was one of the movies that made me realize how well Horror can be made. Before that I had little respect for the genre. Nowadays I just really love comedy Horror.
He knows what he’s doing with that look
His style took a big leap! Looking iconic
Never forget, this man helped bring us Luther, The Anger Translator. 😂😂❤💛💚💙💜
What was not said is the fact that the K&P comedy (which was truly hilarious and thought-provoking) invariably had this underlying element of horror. Peele is a freaking genius.
exactly
SO. MUCH. THIS.
YES.
It’s the suspense, a lot of K&P comedy relied on the uneasiness of certain situations, which translates seamlessly to the Horro Screen
Trevor is hands down fantastic at interviewing folks - it’s a pleasure to watch
key and peele had so many dark sketches which made it no surprise that he's capable of horror
For me peele's horror isn't too much of horror I find his movies more thrilling than scary
Peele is the best, one of my film favorites of all time!
Changed the mainstream horror genre for the better
No lies spoken
If you go back and watch some old Key and Peele sketches, most often Peele is playing creepy characters doing funny things. There is always a real human behavior that is unsettling when isolated, underneath the veneer of something absurd and funny.
Even though I still watch reruns of Key & Peele, I look forward to Jordan's movies. He's a unique thinker
Horor podcasts are great. It's like the campfire stories people used to share.
Do podcasts and new flip phones make you feel nostalgic - in a techie kind of way?
Titles of these podcasts??
@@argoneonoble Unexplained Encounters and Weird Darkness. Both are on Spotify
@FlowerBomb... You're absolutely right. But then fewer people are experiencing real campfire stories and that's sad 😢.
That's actually a unique way to look at it.
The most humble, the most giving, he's a superstar genius, and yet he seems like he could be your neighbor next door.
“Is it weird that I think it’s funny?” Same bro… gotta laugh to keep from crying is my motto
Trevor’s capacity to ask the perfect questions on the fly… amazing!
As you see... there are CONSEQUENCES 😄 It started like a joke, now it's a career full of achievements. Great work Peele!
Watch out for falling pianos
It’s really cool that he’s exploring podcasts as a format for horror. There’s so many great horror podcasts and video formats on CZcams like analog horror that are so underutilized in mainstream media. I hope that Jordan using these formats will make more people aware of them.
What are some titles of these horror podcasts??
@@argoneonoble My favorite horror podcast is Magnus Archives.
@@argoneonoble - Not 100% horror, but "Alice Isn't Dead" is one of my favorites!
@@argoneonoble The Nosleep podcast and Welcome to Night Vale
@@namehere4620 To me, Welcome to Night Vale is horror in the same way The Addams Family is horror. I personally would have labeled it comedy, but I'll be the first to admit my brain is a little weird.
Even as a director he still cracks me up
I saw the movie "Get Out" twice... loved the movie and how it dealt with some serious social issues and covert/overt racism and how much danger one can be in when they are being fooled by evil people.
Trevor is one of the best interviewers out there. He keeps his guest at ease and in their zone.
Jordan Peele is a genius, he can walk in and out of stories regardless of genre
I knew Jordan would be a great horror director after watching him play the flight attendant on Key & Peele
Or baby Forest Whittaker 😂
With Get Out & Us Peele showed his incredible ability to give nuanced social commentary in poignant metaphors, but with Nope he truly showed his mastery of crafting dread and tension. An open field on a sunny day has never made me feel so uneasy as in Nope. So glad he switched to directing horror films, I think he'll go down as one of the best horror directors ever.
Love Trevor, wherever he goes in his career I'll gladly follow 🤲🏽✨👑🥂.. awesome guests as usual..
He's a genuis. The new Stephan King. His movies use to hit hard back in the day.
Stephen King writes books. Jordan Peele directs movies.
Your movies are absolutely brilliant Mr Peele. I usually avoid "scary" movies because they were just an excuse for gore and screaming. But your stories are well thought out and masterfully told. Looking forward to seeing more.
You perfectly describe how I feel about horror movies! The gore and jump scares always made scary movies feel "cheap" to me. Peele's movies masterfully layer in deeper messages which creates such unique and dynamic expression of horror!
Love this crossover. They should work together.
Right!
Yes!!! Or at least go out to dinner together or something. Be friends
" comedy is tragedy plus time"
A lot of the K&P sketches had a very Twilight Zone feel. He was a natural for the reboot.
*Trevor, Dear... Horror was a **_huge_** part of "Key and Peele".*
Jordan is still _very much who he has always_ been. 😌💎😎
Why isn’t this interview 2 hours long
Ogden Wells had a radio show and an episode was so scary, listeners were terrified. I love Jordan Peels body of work.
You talking about war of the worlds by orson Welles? People were so terrified that it almost started riots in the streets because people were convinced aliens were invading and eradicating everyone.
Did you mean Orson Wells?
Orson Welles' "The War of the Worlds" is what you probably meant...Yep, quite a trip when it was first broadcast (and it still gets a replay on some radio stations each year - usually around Halloween).
I LOVE that his podcast is essentially a horror movie/series. It's like when they used to have shows on the radio before tvs. I've always thought that the sound medium would be way more immersive. I dont like horrors but i will have to check this out for sure! It is so exciting!
I LOVE YOU JORDAN PEELE❤️❤️❤️
Loved his, "I am Mister Nostrum ", comedic gold . . .
typo : Mr. Nostrand , my bad . . .
Am I the only one who was surprised by Peele's normal voice? I'm so used to all of his characters from Key and Peele that I was taken aback by him just being him.
I think his voice is more calm when he's nope performing.
@@tennaj1367 certainly more natural feeling, just caught me off guard lol
Meegan on Key and Peele was legit one of the scariest characters I've seen, the way she is so manipulative, power-hungry and blood-thirsty on top of it all.
I really feels like Peele is coming to his own. Congratulations 👏👏👏
We used to listen to stories on the radio when I was a child. That podcast sounds awesome. Reminds me of childhood
I’d love to see Jordan host SNL (for some reason)
Epic
I was thinking the same thing 😳!!!! Perhaps it’s a matter of time.
What an inspiration he is! the intelligence and consideration, but also this sense of compassion and care that Jordan conveys when he speaks is amazing and truly and simply an inspiration
Us is one of my favorite horror movies!
Podcast= Old school radio show...so cool and so Peele.
I'm glad to have witnessed this growth & transformation by this young man in my lifetime. He is an amazing artist. Everyone can critique , but few can create in relatable ways that are monetary BLOCKBUSTERS !!! Keep bringing it man
I'm blind, so I had descriptive audio while watching Get Out. I don't know who did the audio, but it was as impactful as the movie. For example (not direct quotes, just the vibe): "A tall man in a black suit ... an athletic man in a red track suit...a white man in jeans and polo shirt ...a elderly man. That hit me as hard as the movie.
His podcast is actually dope. I ended up listening to the whole thing in only a couple of days.
Wow 😊
This man is a living legend 💯💯✅ Peace and love ❤️
Being able to LOVE watching other people succeed, says more about you and where you are in your life. Haters are sad.
This was a fantastic interview. I love Peele’s perspective that we have to stop turning away from the fear and instead sit with it.
Jordan Peele’s movies are a masterpiece of art. Watching how he constructs the story and builds up your emotions throughout is so enjoyable. Not going to lie, I cried when Keke sees Daniel at the end of Nope 🥹
Kinda like the old timey sci fi rafio drama. Very cool
Daniel and Keke had/have such a sibling chemistry together. The two of them and Angel had me hooked in Nope.
Jordan Peele will go down in history as one of the most amazing and versatile celebrities to ever exist.
I feel like I've grown up with Jordan Peele! To see him after being a director it has given him so much depth
Mr Peele is one comedian that had me laughing out loud many times ,his talent is remarkable. So glad he is branching out more of his talent into the world.Nope, was a gem and I loved it.
Looking forward to the next project he’s got🙌🏿
I Look forward to this mans next movie . He has such a great creative mind !!
Mad respect for Jordan Peele
02:34 Get Out was the first movie in a long time that I watched with no idea, no spoilers, no context, just happened to catch it on - so rare these days and it was so much better that way.
Peele looking like a British professor ❤
From the 70s, yet. 🤣
Would love to see someone re-score a comedy we all know with horror music to see if it works. 😂
When I was about ten, our local radio station played some really old horror stories from the early radio broadcasts. Nothing before or since has scared me as much. That auditory input plus my imagination created the most intense fear. Now I need to find this podcast.
Reply when you find it
I was honestly not that surprised when Jordan Peele turned to horror and directing movies. His love for movies was apparent in Key and Peele, loved the valet sketches and felt their energy every time, so I'm living for any project Jordan Peele is part of going forward.
I just adore him.
My man is truly a master of all trades and plays jack to none
The Akira slide in Nope was dope ✌️
There was some comedy in Nope. Perfectly timed. I want to see Michael Keegan in one of his movies.
The humility on his face just makes me love him even more.
I WAS NOT SURPRISED!
Several Key and Peele sketches are terrifying.
Yeeesssss!
Is there Behind the Scenes with Jordan Peele? Cant get enough with these 2 brilliant men
May not happen again, with Trevor going so soon. 😕
The novel way "Get Out" explores the horrors of Jim Crow is provocative and brilliantly apropos. Mr. Peele, keep giving us more, please.
Nope was another one of his masterpieces I'm very impressed with how he tells stories. I have a phobia about wide open spaces so that movie really freaked me out.
Also animals that lose control animals that start attacking people and they can't be controlled that's a real problem as well
Great interview! Nobody does it quite like Trevor.
Really love what you said about real life sir💖🙏
This man knew exactly what he was doing his sketches always had a little bit of the unsettling funny in the background the "hype man" ,"racist zombies" "alien invasion". He has kept that same energy but more thrilling.
I do not commit digitally much. I am enjoying these two legendary creatures with a smile ear to ear. 🌳
Thank you for being such a brave director. Your works are inspirational
Peele got them Tony Stark E.D.I.T.H glasses on. He knows something we don't. Lol
I'm excited for all the little kids that get to grow up with his genius work expanding into it's own genre. Like seriously, Hitchcock is seen as groundbreaking founder of a unique genre, right? Well I think Peele has now created another universe of films that are just as groundbreaking, and I'm so jealous of all the kids that hey to grow up learning and studying his expanding work! What a time to be alive!!!
What a great interview, great questions and answers, it really makes you aware of how great Trevor is at this
Jordan is OFFICIALLY my absolute favorite movie Maker. He is the next Quentin Tarantino.
It’s only makes sense Jordan’s career path as the most broken and in pain people end up being the funniest people around while the best horror is able to find the humor within the scare.
He seems like a completely different person than his start on Key and Peele in 2013. He's also very humble and eloquent. I'd love to direct a film one day so I look up to him alot. Since he's only 5 months older than me. Lol
I love and admire Mr. Jordan Peele. He does deserve the applause. So creative, insightful, skilled in many aspects of his production expertise...not to mention hilarious.
The scariest monsters are humans.
I loved Key & Peele, so I want to see a film directed by Jordan Peele, if he ever makes a film that isn't horror 😫
I love this man, what he does is just unique, I feel like he understands my own sense of what horror and creepy is about, and that’s so refreshing and easy to fall in love to, you just need to sit back (relax, if u can) and appreciate ❤
He's a true visionary. A true talent. One of my creative idols. Key And Peele is such a masterpiece of a comedy show. His movies are amazing. Modern classics. I hope selfishly that he creates for 50 more years.
