YESSSSSSS!!!!!!
Its called Dazed and Confused, go check it out.
@@emerald_archer it's not shot in beautiful anamorphic like this is though
I started getting flashbacks remembering my young teen years waiting to find an old guy to buy us liquor or cigarettes
@@Heisenbrick me my bloke and our friends back in the 70's. Brings it all back.
Thanks for the memories, dudes. I'm 68 years old and you took me back 50 years. Amazing how things don't change.
This reminds me so much of my life. I graduated in 1977. Had a Peter Frampton haircut and wore a powder blue tux to my prom. "Stairway to Heaven" theme. I got on a bus a few weeks later and spent the next 30 years in the military. There went the Peter Frampton hairdo. We have our forty year reunion in September and of all things ZZ Top will play on the 27th in my hometown. How weird. The stars must have aligned for that one. I did not think I would be alive this long.
Anyone read the fineprint at the bottom of the title credits?
"My favourite part of shooting this video happened the night of the party scene, after our second day of filming. After all the actors went home and the equipment was packed up, our New York crew took a load off for a minute and cracked a beer. We wondered into the band room of the house we were shooting at and saw every single person we hired from Nashville all jamming together. Everyone. All of our actors, our location manager, our liner, even our stylist was playing a tambourine. I've shot a lot of videos and worked on a lot of sets and I've never seen anything like it. It really did feel like a scene from a movie - it made the shoot absolutely unforgettable."
Benjamin Hughes it was hard for me to read it so Ill take your word for it
That sounds amazing.
I like the thought, but there was nothing at the end of the credits.
I love anything Dan does.
Love the John Prine cameo. Glad to see he's still doing things.
i think he might have penned the title?
Now this is a video with some personality. In 3 minutes you feel like you've been hanging out with these guys for years.
Totally agree!!!
haha
❤
I cannot stop smiling. Inject this entire video and song directly into my veins.
For me it feels like the video tries to show that you need to have some fun, some beautiful memories, break ups and love that finds and leaves you to be able to write a song, for the song to find you, its been like that for me. Love the video, wakes up some emotions....
John Prine buying liquor and Dan smoking a joint. Great song and video.
I like the Dan cameo, a Daneo if you will.
hazeman671 John Prine also
This is just a perfect video. And John Prine, too!
Is that John Prine buying them beer?! Epic, brother
He's grown so much as an artist it's unbelievable.
Gay
a vast majority of the songs were co-written by john prine one of the greatest story tellers of all time. He deserves a lot of credit.
Go back to middle school if you wanna rely on this as your go-to homophobic slur
Feeling the Dazed And Confused vibe, man.
I like that John Prine made an appearance in the video. May he RIP
I love how they're listening to "king of a one horse town" at the beginning
and shine on me at the end!
and Waiting on a Song in the middle.
best part is how Dan is smoking up at a highschool party! Great video and amazing song. stuck in my head already
He's basically Wooderson from Dazed and Confused
And John Prine contributing to the delinquency of minors!
Shawn Zarudny gotta disagree there bud. The best part is John Prine buying them liquor
Took me back. Dan and all the rest fine job capturing a special time. So glad I got to live it. *cheers*
Just the right people understood the video, the 17 number, and cried at the end. These people are magical and knows what i am talking about and felt the same as Dan while creating the song.
who is these 2 people? :)
Watching this video (not for the first time) just a few days before I leave for college, and it's reminding me just how much I love the story it tells. I knew before I graduated (with this video in mind) that I wanted this summer to be the best I've ever had, and I think that was the case. It's hard not to think about how I'll never have an experience quite like this again, so free of major responsibility and full of fun, but I am excited to open this new chapter of my life. I think this music video captures something really special about making the most of your time with others and sharing experiences you'll treasure, without getting too caught up in the past.
Beautifully said my man. This is exactly how I felt and how I would’ve worded it when I was in your shoes 6 years ago. Hope you enjoyed your first semester of college
Such a great video and song. I would've watched an entire movie about this group of kids
Ditto!!

Song of the year thus far, so so good
Songs don’t fall from trees, they arrive in the breeze, from the breath of another man.

Well that was fantastic. True art. What a gift to everyone during these difficult to comprehend times. We all need an innocent step back in time right now and this did the trick. Thank you to everyone that made this possible.

This video complements the song so well. Nice vibe
The Late Great John Prine Co-Wrote this song with Dan Auerbach. A couple of years ago, Auerbach went to see Prine - most famous for trippy folk songs like “Angel From Montgomery” and “Hello in There” - at Nashville’s Station Inn. “It was like I was hearing him for the first time,” Auerbach says. They booked a session. Prine doesn’t write much anymore, so they decided to sing about writer’s block. Auerbach calls the song they recorded together, which became the title track to the LP, an “instant singalong.” “It was just great to be around supreme creativity,” he says. Auerbach learned to work fast: “We’d only go about an hour and a half before we’d have to go eat, then you try to close the deal when you get back from lunch. John knows where meatloaf is every day of the week.”
If this ever gets made into a full length movie.....YES IT SHOULD......I think Dan has a winner on his hands here.....big time
