What an acomplishment! Crazy how strong that esc is. I Will switch out my xlx to xlx2 in my wr attempt car next summer, should be a rocket since the car will only be about 4000 grams fully loaded with 8s lipo.

wassup bro giving you some challange i got my xmaxx set up for speed run but i cant seems to find good mount i think the mount i got makes the motor sit uneven and gear gets chewed up anyways you link dosent work to the mount any other options?
WFO, PNW, M2c are the only mounts I’d run

Yessir, he’s running 16s though. This is the current 8s record. Truck has a lot more in it, just need to get clean runs. It’s getting extremely tough.

@@ConsCustomz to come that close on 8s and a fairly standard motor and esc combo is amazing. I thought speeds like that would require an MGM Lehner combo or similar.
Here's a question - is there a reason why speedrunners don't use FPV rigs for runs? You could make sure you're lined up properly, control the vehicle mid-run (especially at these high speeds), and I can't really see any negatives, to be honest. The cameras are pretty small, enough to fit inside of the body (assuming the window is left clear) so it wouldn't effect weight or aerodynamics. Something I've always wondered.
It’s a great idea for sure! I just don’t think that high speed cars are smooth enough for the fpv feed to be clear as you’d think. These cars produce a ton of vibrations that I could see causing issues in quality! Might be worth a shot though!

It’s not a highway! It’s just a big wide road next to the Amazon facility! This was the busiest I’ve seen it! Usually it’s just a few cars every once and awhile! I definitely wouldn’t run on a busy highway!

Love the car and awesome run, just curious why you would need to run 4 batteries, half in series half in parallel. I guess unless each battery is only like 2000mAh or something.
8s voltage @ 12,000mah in this run. Helps with the voltage sag under serious load. This same exact setup but with only two batteries (8s @6000mah) only got me to 110mph, which is also the record for 8s non-parallel for the big scales. Need all the mah you can get when pulling 600a at @22hp!

Friendly tip. 1 being ..I HOPE ..You do realize your ruining your receiver and transmitter by using a 5.8ghz antenna 📡 instead of a 2.4 ghz antenna unless that's for video 📹 vtx connecting which it's not it doesn't look like so. and 2 being that also that front downward diffuser is robbing of speed like a mother and 3 your shits way too stiff if you wanna get the right kind of controllable assembled setup for what you doing...
Thanks for watching! Yes I’m aware about the antenna. This was the only runs that I used the 5.8ghz antenna, was just testing to see if it improved response at distance or range, didn’t affect anything on these runs so will be switching back to the old setup. Also I gained a couple mph by putting on the front end and making changes to the aero, so it is working! Suspension is working good so far, pretty controllable for more than double the stock speed🤷♂️

X-Maxx isn't a 1/5th scale. Not sure why people think it. It's a 1/6 scale.
It’s actually 1/7th.. lol 🤷♂️ it’s big scale monster truck speed running… not many others speed run their 1/5 losi or anything comparable so I consider it all one big scale class..
@@ConsCustomz I don't even consider the Arrma 8s line to be 1/5 scale. I have a Losi 5ive T and the Outcast isn't even close to it's size. The Outcast is a bit wider than the X-Maxx (which is probably why it's "1/5" scale) but not longer. My 1/6 scale Losi Super Rock Rey is just about a half inch longer than the X-Maxx as far as wheel base goes. The X-Maxx is substantially bigger than the Traxxas UDR which is 1/7th scale. Sometimes I wonder where they get these scale numbers from cause when I think of the scale, I refer to the size of the body and how many times smaller the RC is from it's real counterpart. That being said, most monster truck tires are still a portion under the body and RCs like the X-Maxx, Traxxas Summit, Arrma Outcast, or the Losi LST 3XLE have the tires completely outside the body.

It is actually the fastest xmaxx on 8s. Jason runs 16s to hit 126mph.

U are correct I have the fastest. We both running 16 cells, same power output just wired differently for more capacity or more voltage.. either way good job Connor.

Gps is connected to 12 satellites at a time. And has an update rate of 10hz(10 times a second..) it’s about as close and accurate as possible lol. But if you don’t believe it that’s fine, haters are going to hate.. but that WAS 121mph confirmed on 8s! Thanks for watching! More to come!

Because it’s a record run… they need a full video with no edits to verify…time stamp in the description for you if you want to jump right to the bread and butter.
This is the most irresponsible place to test your speed! If a car came from the other direction during the test an you lost control, could kill someone!
Thanks for the concern but I would disagree! Just happened to be out there at the busiest time and waited patiently for a opening. Check my other videos, it’s usually pretty empty!
