- testing more gearing on the traxxas xmaxx with the stock motor, motor mount and locating pins.
These were my results
Stock Tires
46/20 56.3 MPH
46/22 (could not make a clean pass due to tire expansion)
Belted Tires (power hobby scorpion XL)
46/20 52.9 MPH (not filmed)
46/22 56.7 MPH
46/24 60.5 MPH
46/26 64.2 MPH (new Best)

Just got my new Solarflare 8s X-Maxx 2weeks before the Ultimate was released. All stock(motor/esc) at first🤔 as of today added the Traxxas light kit for the X-Maxx, changed the steering servo to the Traxxas 2085X and the steering Horn to Traxxas Aluminum Servo Horn left the belcarank and other steering parts as OEM for now🤑. Replaced the stock tires with the Jetko 1/5 Belted Red Wheels with King Corbra Tires👀🦾 The gearing is Traxxas 18t Black Harden Steel Pinion and the Traxxas 54t Spur Black Harden Steel. No other changes needed so far since I'm a light in the Azz basher😂 Street runs and some grassy sod runs...next upgrade will be the Blue Wide kit for the X-Maxx 👀😱😎 Learned something new by watching your vids on gearing , great stuff for the hobby!💯🦾
Just got a xmaxx last week. Absolutely love this thing. Im running hardened steel 50t spur and a hardened 20t pinion. I bash around alot with it and it seems to be just fine temp wise

Nice vid. Just got mine abkut 1 month ago. Hardly do anything with it. Just always wanted one since they first come out. Got it new in the box at a hobby shop going out of buisness for 500. Was priced at 1k. 8s truck and remote only. Its the version right before the ultimate. Red and black body it is. I will go with the 18/19 50 as you stated. Just to be doing something to it.

Cool experiment, but, WHAT BATTERIES? 6s, 8s? What mah? 5000, 10000? What discharge? 50c, 150c? So many variables.
