Thank you so much for your videos! They make it easy for me to make informed Decisions when it comes to buying turbos.

I had you guys build my turbo 67 mm x 67 mm, I couldn’t be happier. I am finding lower EGT‘s 200 to 300° less.

Was yours a HE351CW with the 67x89x95 billet compressor wheel and 67x76 10 blade turbine wheel? Im thinking about sending my HE351CW to get machined for the 67 inducer and 67 exducer for my 1st gen cummins.

Tips for lining up housings on the lathe. Soft jaws made per a housing.

+Mark Rich you have to resurface the compressor housing, I grab it on the inside on both sides of the compresor housing

I didnt say you did or didnt I dont know your operations .
Soft jaws are an opposed image ussaully of what needs to be chucked. You wont have to zero out you lathe any more one you have a set of them . They will be true to your work piece. Save tons on setup time. I own a machine shop and use them dailly on my fixtured parts.

So I can get just the housing and hot side wheel? I have a 2006 with an airdog and edge hot unlock and egts can go really crazy really easy.

so does this just assemble rite up with no additional parts to the compressor side ? , does this bolt up to a Cummins ex manifold ? and does the ex elbo for a Cummins go rite on to this with no additional parts ? if so this is a great upgrade for my truck improving drive pressure ,EGT's and that will improve compressor side efficiency too I would think .

What is the difference between holset 1"" and "holset 2" ??? Can't figure it out. My 2006 mega cab 6 speed 5.9 has the holset 2. I ordered the wicked wheel 2. Just confused how to remove the compressor housing. Any help is appreciated

How is the spool time compared to a stock he351cw?

  • @christophermcnaughton6113

Whats your thoughts on putting an he351cw on a 4 cylinder import? Specifically a Honda that I'm looking to make upwards of 600hp

im fitting one onto my 2.3l volvo 5 cylinder rn, increasing the size of the wastegate port to reduce backpressure and lower egts. Just got it today and I'm still building the engine so not sure when I'll finally be running it. The wastegate port looks to be about 5/8 of an inch and I'm planning on increasing it to 1.125 inch. I think these turbo's are perfect for a 2 liter. From what I've seen on dsm forums, they start spooling around 3000 rpm and full boost around 3500-3750, which is about 35 pounds on most dsm builds. I plan on running 25 psi to start with and work my way up to 35 pounds. Consider upgrading valve springs if you haven't. 35 pounds on the upper side of the spring is likely to cause valve float and rob horsepower. The other limiting factor is the 58mm exducer on the turbine, the 64mm or the 67mm turbine might be the right answer, but the 58mm will have incredible response which will make it more fun on the street.

Curious why the exhaust flange is not divided?

That’s the way the 03-07 turbos were.

Turbo Lab America oh I had no idea! I just had a 63/67 assembled using your turbine housing and it caught me a little bit off guard when I picked it up from the shop today. I havent pulled my stocker off yet
