    I bought a xr4155 last year and love it use it everyday with zero issues.
    I bought it over the John Deere because it was $20k less and it had more Standard options than a lot of other tractors almost fully loaded!
    And I just ordered larger new one. Love them!

    Great video. I'm in love with my LS and have never had any issues with it. I was surprised when the delivery guy told you that no one uses the Engine speed cruise control. That's my favorite button! I have it set to PTO speed so when I need to idle down to talk to someone or turn the tractor around, I just hit the button to get back to work.

    That tractor is equivalent to the xr4140/4145 and boomer 45.
    The green lever for your 3pt isn't float it is a draft control. Your 3pt already floats because there is no down force. Owners manual should explain everything for you.
    Put your valve stem at the 12 o'clock position and you can adjust the air pressure. 10-12 psi should be enough. Might be a spit of water that comes out.

    I did about 3 years researching across all the big brands and 3 things made me go with LS.
    Cost, saved about 5-15K across all the brands that were spec’d as close to LS.
    Ease of maintenance. I am a truck driver not a mechanic. I wanted it to be as SIMPLE and user friendly as possible. All easy access filters etc.. one LS dealer asked $700 for the 50 hr service. So I figured I wanted to DIY to save $$.
    Third, fully featured for the cost. This is what led to the cost difference. Right side door, 3 rear remotes, 540-750&1,000 RPM PTO etc. standard on LS. Their prices are getting higher as they gain in sales too. Get one while ya can!
    Warranty is 6 years with 2 b2b and rest as power train. No commercial restrictions like some brands so you can hire out and not void warranty like Mahindra.
    My Goodyear R14 tires come with a ten year warranty.
    My choice was the LS MT5.73 20F20R power shuttle cab with thumb clutch and creeper.
    Also a major plus for me that kept me with LS.... Bigfoot. I have size 17 feet and their 68 hp cab and larger all had room in front of my feet to reach the pedals. I got into a Kubota M6 141hp cab tractor and the pedals were over the top of my shoes when seat and feet were as far back as possible. Big safety issue. NOT WITH LS. Both JD and NH had to be 100hp or bigger to fit my feet behind instead of under pedals.
    Enjoy your machine good video👍

    nice video! I just got a 2019 Boomer 40. I'll have to make some videos now. I mow a little over 7 acres, 2.5 with the house and 5 acres next to it. It's a rough ride mowing the 5 acres. I've mowed without the bucket but not the loader. I don't really have asphalt or concrete to set the loader on to remove it other than in front of the garage and I don't want to block access in case I have issues reinstalling the loader. Worried I'll have issues installing it if it's on grass or dirt. I used to mow it all my land with a John Deere D130 and that ride was a lot smoother. But it was also a lot longer. haha. You should get a quick hitch. Look forward to more videos! cheers! Jason

    Hi Thomas. Sorry it took me so long to realize your got your new baby ! CONGRATS. She looks like a real winner. I think you did an awesome job on the video. I think you will really enjoy the cab, I know I do. It's nice not having to stop what I am doing just because it starts raining and what is really a treat is being outside plowing snow with mine when it's 10 degrees outside with me HAVING to be in my t-shirt. When the sun is out the green house effect kicks in and keep the inside at a perfect temperature regardless of how cold it is outside. I have been known to run the A/C in the dead of winter LOL.
    You showed me two things that really impressed me. One is the rear 3-point hand controller. That sure will come in handy ! The second is it appears your front tires are in fact wider than mine ! That is a huge advantage for a number of reasons. Can you tell me what model year your tractor is and exactly what tire size they have installed for you. I may be able to swap my thinner tires/wheels for a wider version IF the outside diameter has been kept the same. I use my loader a LOT and having a wider tire would be very beneficial. Oh also I do not have "Ag" tires....I have what are known as R4 tires (Industrial tires).....they are in-between an Ag tire and your turf tires. Again, congrats and great video.

    • @ThomasBowden380
      @ThomasBowden380  Před 3 lety

      It is a 2020 new model changed from a XR4140 to MT3 42 mid year. Tire size are Front 31x13.50-15NHS and Rear 44x18.00-20NHS
      Your Video did change my mind about choosing a NH over a JD, but the LS less money and the Dealer was closer. And from what I can see, except for the Loader, its the same as the NH.

    • @w8bya
      @w8bya Před 3 lety

      @@ThomasBowden380 Thanks for the info. I went online and tried to look up the specs for your tractor and on the LS site saw they list the tire size as 29 x 12.5 - 15 (front) & 41 x 14 - 40 (rear). Interesting how their site and what you actually have are different. I wonder what your owners manual says? In any event the tire size difference is huge and if the bolt hole pattern and outer diameter of the front tires are the same I will be looking into making a swap.
      In any event I know the LS & NH tractors come out the same mother exactly like a Ford Escort is the same as a Ford Mercury Lynx (which I had). I think you will really enjoy your tractor. Oh, it will be very "bouncy" running around with a loader but with it off you should notice a much smoother ride.

  • @rkelsey3341
    @rkelsey3341 Před rokem

    I have 2 LS tractors, a 40 hp and a 73 hp. They are fabulous. One thing I am not sure was mentioned is that LS loaders are compatible with all attachments/implements made for New Holland, Bobcat, etc etc. John Deere loaders can only use John Deere implements, so if you have non-JD buckets, pallet forks, augers, or other things, they are not compatible with JD tractors/loaders. My only LS complaint is the operator's manual. The amount of misspellings, incomplete sentences, and grammar errors make it almost unreadable. Looks like it was written by a junior high ESL class. For such a quality tractor, it seems like they could have hired a technical writer to explain the product in clear terms.

    Hey Thomas, been down that same road, having a good relationship with the dealership is at the top of selecting process.unless you pay cash for the LS the savings is not that significant due to LS financing options and New Holland parts are more readily available. I like the New Holland brand loader with the long sweeping boom for choirs like loading and unloading trailers, piling debris and stacking hay etc. I'm a old day Ford tractor guy myself but there's no such thing as fully American made tractor anymore. Looks like you made a great choice for your needs, enjoy!

    I live in a heavily rural environment, you wont see one LS around here.
    Even the Kubota crowd won't touch that brand.

    First off, why not just hire a lawn service? Secondly, if you want to do it yourself why not a commercial zero turn like a Toro 7500 with up to a 144" deck? Those are designed for mowing. you bought a machine designed for material handling and farming. Also, why not at least get a larger finishing mower? A JD 1025 would easily handle the puny mower you have and wouldn't rut up your lawn.
