My biggest complaint about the mini 3 pro was it’s inability to “follow” me from the front while traveling backward to get good shots of the front of me. Can this do that with the improved obstacle avoidance? Or does active track still only follow you from behind?
love the advanced testing of the capability of the sensors.

Is the air 3 obstacle avoidance better than this or about the same? As far as hitting branches and such?
any idea what the minimum speed is? I miss the "tripod mode" with the super slow speeds. Also are the slow motion settings still able to use the D-Log or HLG modes?
You can fix a lot of the issues with lighting within the photos you take in post.
This drone is a great tool
Very nice drone. I would buy it if I had places to fly it. Currently, have the Original mavic Air & and still works great.

Hello! If I fly the drone manually, do the sensors still do their job? Or are they only active in quickshots and active track? If a bird approaches the drone, will it avoid the collision? Thank you!
Definitely active when flying manually as well.

It's not active if you fly in sport mode
Also these drones don't avoid birds well since there's no sensors on the top upper portion or the rear of these drones.

I've been close to pulling the trigger on a Mini 3 Pro after the photographer taking photos of ym home let me fly his for about 25 minutes. I thought it was great. But the upgrades, like avoidance detection and new controllers, have me ready to go all in on a Mini 4 Pro.
Obstacle avoidance is disabled when flying in sport mode and in low light situations. It all comes down to what you need the drone for and the time of day that you'll be flying it.
Yeah for photos a cheaper mini 3 pro will get you by
quick question. When you were running among trees the image from the drone lost clarity and crispness, got sketchy and flickery. My imagination? My computer? or is this real? I've seen this happen with GoPro imagery for motorcycle filming by riders. In those videos it's beyond annoying. What happens with the DJI Mini 4 pro? Thanks

Have 8 interchangeable mini and mini 2 batteries. Technically I can fly in perpetuity. I wish they could decide on one battery for years into the Mini series to avoid the fly more package. However 40 minutes in the air is a extremely long time.
The 40min is based on perfect conditions. It's more like 28 minutes before it auto returns to home.
Yeah the newer mini 3 battery seems to be the new standard.

2 mouths ago i bought the mini 3 pro. It's pretty user friendly and I am comfortable flying it now. They are amazing. I am going to buy the mini 4 pro and sell my mini3

5:20 not appears. It’s confirmed that batteries are backwards compatible. The only problem is that M3P batteries are heavier than the M4P so not legal to fly with

DJI will not be happy until they take all my money I see lol. Quick question do the batteries from the Mini 3 Pro work with the Pro 4? Also I have ND filters for the Mini 3 I'm hoping those work with the 4 as well. If batteries and filters work I'll make the upgrade to have the one controller that's gonna be used from here on.

Yes on battery but the mini 3 battery is 3 grams heavier which puts this drone over 250 grams. And No on the ND filters. They changed them slightly.

🔝 drone if you don't have it, the investment is not worth it at all. For the videos on my CZcams channel I will continue to use the DJI Mini 3 Pro 💪
1:07 - Not in the EU. Unfortunately, every drone that has a camera (even under 250 grams) needs to be registered, and the operator as well. Starting in 2024, there will be no advantage to owning a 250-gram drone (Mini series) or a 720-gram drone (Air 3). The rules will be the same.
I thought it was depending on when the drone was released, if released before 2024 the old rules still apply? I may have misunderstood though

Mini 2 Pro & 3 Pro pilot here. These videos are very stressful for me to watch.

Those so-called "Swooping Movements" -when setting "Camera Motion" to Fast can be stress-inducing. I put Care Refresh replacement insurance on this one, a)because it's only $79 USD vs. $239 for my Mavic 3 Pro, and b) makes sense since I am more willing to put this one in risky situations than my $4500 investment in Mavic 3 Pro & RC Pro Controller. The drone mostly handles obstacles well, but in "Fast Camera Motion" I nearly stroke out around obstacles, while the little guy "swoops away" and peeks at me, cheekily, between tree branches.
Does this guy live in Europe?
So in this video all footage is very stuttery and not smooth at all. No idea if that came from your side or from DJIs side, but for a video showcasing its quality it'd be best to get the best possible results...

Camera is still not even close to Air2s and almost the same as DJI Mini 2. That`s a point buying this "new" model?
You need ND filters 100% if you want professional cinematic clips

This drone is pure JUNK do not buy. I have had 2 defective drones in 3 days. Screen freezes in flight arms get lose after a week of use. Pure JUNK. Stay away.
