  • In this barista video we guide you through cleaning your espresso machine at the end of a days service in your cafe. Joel gives our La Marzocco Linea Classic a good end of day treatment using Cafetto chemical cleaner to flush out the brew heads on the machine to break down any built up coffee residue. Cleaning your coffee machine is super important to keep it in top performing order and prevent unnecessary breakdowns.

Am loving these videos & your entire channel. How often do you take off the shower heads to clean them over night?

We remove them daily, it’s a quick simple job that keeps the machine in good condition and reduces build up

How often do you recommend cleaning the machine in a small office, we brew around 10 espressos a day.

If you’re on a domestic machine, best follow the instructions. Back pressure might be too much.
Otherwise new seals and pulling tight might be needed.

If I've got a lever machine, I imagine pushing the lever up for 5 seconds and back off be the same as pushing the button and activating the group?

We had not played slot with levers, I don’t think they have the same cleaning as a solenoid and expansion valve issues. They need a chemical clean for sure, but more so in the shower screen and group head
