hes finally back after all this time
Balons tawer difens siz
He recovered from seeing starehips death
Stareshits
Yes
MONKE!!!!!!!!!
That paris probe:
*strange signal detected*
Yeah
*Oh i so hope we see the Stuff we got from Andoria!*
I think it’s been confirmed by TD himself that Andoria takes place in the Terminal Velocity timeline.
@@TanookiMario640yeah
Finally caught up to the rest of the series, and i have to say: i already knew you were among the best of the best, but *crewed mars in 1960* ?? Absolutely incredible. Keep it up!
As always.
Good to see this series back!!!
Is always good to see a fellow youtuber making videos again, great video btw and may the yt algorithm be with you 🫡
Matthew? I love your channel it’s awesome
@@DinoRicky thanks :)
i absoloutely love the art you put into your series
the project designs, missions, and goals are just immesurable
you are someone to make a major change in how humanity looks at spaceflight
i wish you luck brother
Awesome vid mate, the end left me very curious, you have my full attention sir
You do some really amazing things in this game.
Gosh I was hoping to see another TD KSP vid soon... thank you!
these video's are sick when i am bored i find myself watching them, keep it up :)
My eyes nearly bugged out of my head when you unveiled CHAOS at the end there!
DUDE that was soooooooo cool. Can't wait for the nxt
Hell yeah, I missed this series!
I love this concept of a far more ambitious space program! Hopefully, with the recent advancements being made in real-world space travel, these types of missions will become a reality soonish :)
Capability is only half the battle (at most), there’s also cost. Sadly it’s hard to convince most people to spend tens of billions of dollars on throwing space probes in every direction.
*looks at the majority of military budgets across the planet* Gee, i wonder what that feels like xD
great stuff
Amazing Intro!
Good to be back!!
Its awesome to see that intro again
To quote Charles (Chuck) Brown, AKA Kite Man from DC...
Hell Yeah
I just got an ad for DC comics 1 minute after reading this 😂😂
He finnaly returned
Really hoping this starship + orbital refueling shit works out. Humanity needs to start sending probes and orbiters to the outer planets again. Ice giants need some love!
Return of the King
The first soundtrack sounded like the new Star Trek movies theme! Also great video.
film directors should hire you
No he should hire film directors
HE BACKS!
The cosmos is so beautiful. With you, the other KSP wanderers, and my own adventures, I feel like I can almost touch it. This games makes my imagination boundless. Sometimes my mind races at orbital speed, and sometimes it is fixed, in awe of what is represented before my eyes.
Your series is epic, and I hope you will still have time in the future to bring us more of these gorgeous views of our solar system.
Why are you so good at film making?! This is amazing!
Thank you! I rather enjoy the process and it's been a few years to refine my skills!
@@TDChannelKSP You’re welcome. I was wondering if you have any tips for people trying RSS for the first time. I have tried it and kept blowing up engines.
@@ninjanicholas2459could be engine failures, rp-1 comes with testflight, meaning engines have failure chances, early engines can have 20% failure rates
@@ABCDFG-vc8so Thank you
Ayyoooooo! Thou has returned! ❤
The Destroyer is back!!!
My man!
When Paris 2 does a flyby of Pluto. I know most of you know what the strange signal is but for people who haven't watched the andoria series. Watch it to find out what the signal is.
IT"S BACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess who's back, back again, TD back, tell a friend.
How do you come up with the awesome launch vehicles for big projects like Andoria?
Can you do a video on how to properly use ion engines? I can never seem to figure them out.
HOLY SHIT! HE DID IT!
Its back!
Can’t wait for Venus landing
I like our concepts, a flying prob on Venus I think you should make a crewed mission on Titan we're life was dited like the mission to Pluto and have a nice day or night
How do you make the mission patches? They look so cool!!
My friend Tolbachik made them! They're super cool, they have an art page: www.deviantart.com/tolbachik/gallery
(Only patch that's mine is Andorias, I made that in paint.net)
Im currently waiting for the spacex axiom 2 mission to launch in a couple hour's
Unspeakably based
Pretty interesting. Will there be manned outer planet missions as well? You already did Project Andoria, but what about the moons of the gas giants?
Thanks! I intend to do those kinds of missions in the future, though it may be in the sandbox save like Andoria instead of the career mode save so I don't have to deal with as much of a hassle.
Finnaly
Its out.
Mods for the rovers?
Was there much science returned from crewed orbit/EVA/other experiments around Venus, or was it more a proof of concept mission, (or to keep Bill from retiring)?
The science value itself wasn't that much, but the contract value for Venus flyby/orbit was something like 10 million funds (I think?) which made it worthwhile.
Bill was the last of the OG 4 that hadn't been exposed to much radiation, so this is the last beyond Earth SOI mission for those 4.
How do you plan and execute burns that last months to years?
Persistent thrust! Combined with a maneuver node is usually good enough, but for just plain braking pointing mostly retrograde, time warp, then adjust a bit works. It's a bit of a headache trying to juggle multiple vessels though.
Sadly the mod itself is quite buggy - separating or rendezvousing craft can stop you from time warping at all, and sometimes *any* engines on *any* crafts won't produce any thrust. So I uninstall it unless I absolutely need it.
7:32 Sisko
these shows really make me wish we could be doing this in real life
just wait 1-2 centuries, easy
Is project Andoria a part of the terminal velocity universe?
It certainly is! I made the mission in sandbox since it would take me many years to get the career save to 2000, but it could still be done.
What years are predicted to allow trappist 1 exploration?
@@Gdcat1472 2023?
That’s great - and I’m excited to see what’s coming next! CHAOS sounds like a balloon hab, but it’s a *surface* mission too…
8:08 How are you gaining KCT Upgrade Points every few game days while simultaneously controlling an active craft?
Science! Tons of active probes on various missions gaining science in the background through kerbalism (since experiments take months or years to complete), and science converts directly into KCT points - don't remember the conversion factor off hand, I think it's 20 science = 1 KCT point?
Noel make a rocket witch is assembeled in orbit and lands on every planet and moon
9:36 did I see that right? Does he have a contract for crewed asteroid landing?
Ooo, good eye!
@@oberonpanopticon thanks
"I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on Venus and returning him safely to--" [an aide frantically whispers in the president's ear for a moment] "... of landing a man on Venus."
--XKCD
Of landing a man on the moo-- I mean VENUS!
I don’t remember that from XKCD! I should really get around to reading all of it…
Also, reminds me of that once bit from for all mankind
You know what an interesting challenge would be? Getting a kerbal on the moon after King Midas accidentally engoldened the solar system. Basically earth has 3.5x gravity and the moon has 5.78x gravity.
It took me 3 hours to refine a 1000 ton rocket enough to get 3 tons of command pod into LEO, so I can't imagine just how crazy of a rocket you'd need to make it all the way to moon.
That definitely is an.. interesting.. challenge!
Good thing midas didn’t turn things into tungsten…
NEW INTRO?!
15:03 IT'S FINALLY ARRIVED!!!!!!
Is CHAOS an interstellar mission?
No, CHAOS is a part of the upcoming Crewed Venus mission - bit too soon for interstellar, though the mission to the TRAPPIST system in the 21st century is still upcoming.
What engine powers the VASIMR?
The power source? IIRC, two SAFE-400 fission reactors.
@@TDChannelKSP No, the engines.
@@lancisman Ah, well, a pair of VASIMR engines. Not sure the specific model, there's two of them, the single-nozzle and dual-nozzle designs
@@TDChannelKSP Is that from a different mod? I can't find it in the express install
@@lancisman Near Future Propulsion. Not sure if its in express or not.
We choose to go to the Venus in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
ok
What Happened to the USS Andoria
Probably floating in space somewhere, hurtling out of the solar system in the 2030s, since it didn't have fuel to slow down.
@@TDChannelKSP If The Andoria Project Had Existed In Real Life, The USS Andoria Crew Would Be Almost Halfway Home
@@TDChannelKSPI Will Recreate The Sisko Probe In SFS
If nasa had the us military budget:
At this rate we’ll have an IRL mars landing before TD reaches 1969. I get that good content takes time and that he’s probably pretty burnt out on this series, but it’s still sad to see it progressing so slowly since it’s probably my favourite KSP series.
edit: meant 1969, not 64. Idk how that happened lol.
Hey, I reach 1965 in this episode, so it does progress haha.
Glad to hear you still enjoy the series - more episodes will be coming, and certainly not in 10 months like last time :P
@@TDChannelKSP Fair enough, and I’m very glad to hear that! Ad astra per aspera!
gimme all the mods names please?
The majority of the mods found here are in the RP-1 express installation guide: github.com/KSP-RO/RP-1/wiki/RO-&-RP-1-Express-Installation-for-1.12.3
(note, this install is fairly out of date, and RP1 just had a major update)
is the goal to go interstellar
An impressive feat. Next episode is crewed exploration of Venus, because why not?
