    According to the Preds Gm as of last week,his top priority is to sign Saros to a long term contract.Marner has a full NMC.I’ll believe this trade when I see it.

    @generationxpvp Před 19 dny +3

    Marner would have a much larger impact on Nashville than the fans think. They just have that “Protect our goalie” attachment to saros. Marner would be a steal for that price.

    Leafs fan here. I'd do this in a heartbeat. Assuming Marner is willing to waive the NMC, I'd be thrilled with even a 1-for-1 trade. Frankly, I'm fully expecting to lose any Marner trade badly on the ice (the win is the $11M+ freed up cap space), so getting a solid #1 goalie is a bonus.

    Lego hi great videos I watch you all the time your awesome! Regarding the mitch marner jusse saros trade this is my rationale this is a terrible trade for the maple leafs....because the logic of the situation is ok even if they trade marner ok they save some money and heck they still have Auston mathews and nylander...not a great loss however if you get saros..and you overpay him....and let's say he doesn't pan out in Toronto who are the other reliable goalies the leafs can rely on they not like the Canucks who have a great starting goalie and 2 more great backups so again what will happen...?

    Toronto fan: Who will we cherry-pick off of what team for Mitch? After all he's worth any player we want! Rest of the league; I wonder how much Toronto will give us to take Marner? Come on, the rest of the league is not that gullable. Marner has baggage, is not worth a lick during the playoffs, and has big contract expectations, What team needs that? A bit of an offensive boost, perhaps but just a boost, nothing more.

    @deltagolavista1 Před 19 dny

    Toronto fans need to lower their expectations. Throw in Mitten or Cowan and you have the start of something.
    Saros, I don’t think is going anywhere. Good teams don’t trade their elite starters unless they have something right away to take their spot.
    But they have Askarov?! He’s an unproven prospect. Askarov needs to steal the net from Saros before they even consider trading him. Look at Swayman and Ullmark. That’a the ideal situation you want.

    • @ssarmazi

    Marner for Saros and a 2nd in 2024 and a first in 2025. We can drop the 2nd round pick if they include Schenn at 50% retention. Marner would be the face of the Nashville franchise and Saros is exactly what the leafs need.

  • @86daytonaz
    @86daytonaz Před 19 dny

    Saros is a good goalie, just don’t like the fact that he is SMALL. He tends to leave the top of the net wide open due to his low stance. Better than what Leafs have now fore sure!.
