FINALLY! Jayco has made their smallest members of the Jay Flight travel trailer family 6'6" inside! This not only ads some welcome open space in the living area, but also some much needed headroom in the showers of these campers for taller RV'ers like myself!
This is a fairly standard layout that nearly ever RV manufacturer produces, so it really is the "confidence factors" in things like Jayco's unrivaled warranty & coverage, JaySMART Safety Lighting, and Goodyear Tires that make the difference here! That awesome front window never hurts either!

I watch almost all of your videos for your humor and knowledge, even if I have no interest in the camper you are showing. I am working on getting a camper in a year or so and I have learned so much from your videos since I started watching them about a year ago. Knowledge is power...at least the power in knowing you are getting the camper you really want and not buying one from just a fancy sales pitch. You always tell the good and the...well, what another camper might do better. 😁 And you do it with humor and an upbeat attitude so it's NEVER boring!! Keep it up Josh!!! Thank you!!

Glad you did a video for this trailer. We just bought the 184bs Baja edition (first travel trailer, upgraded from a pop up) and we love it! Plenty of room for a family of 4 and a dog ( we don't spend much time in the trailer, kids are outside all day). We have to be organized with how we store things but we make it work. Kids love the bunks, we get a big bed with a privacy curtain and the pantry holds a tonne of food. We find the slide out helps add more storage and function. Also, he didn't show it, but there is a storage space under the bottom bunk!

This is the Model and Floor Layout that I like...
BUT, just a couple changes would make it PERFECT...
1.) Remove Microwave - not needed for myself
2.) Install a gas oven for baking
3.) Flooring, needs to be lighten up some, a Sandstone thick Linoleum would be PERFECT!
4.) Yes, the bathtub is nice, but, notice the walls inside are exposed, they should be covered as well as ONE PIECE with the Tub to prevent Rot and Mildew.
Aside that, PERFECT... :) Ommmmm, would Jayco do such changes on this model for a custom???

Is it me, it is this the only camper that has bunkhouse that fits a tow vehicle with a 3500lb capacity?
Other models seem to fit on overall weight, but tongue weight is always over 350lbs.
I've got a Model Y and it tows like a champ due to its low center of gravity and heavy weight. Range is limited, but this class of camper is perfect for semi-local camping (within 100 mile range).

@@JoshtheRVNerd EV buyers are looking for solutions, and they tend to have the disposable income.
I really tried to get myself back into a gas car. But after owning a Leaf for 9 years, feels like such a backward step in technology.
Changing only wiper blades, tires, and adding washer fluid for 200k+ miles is my kind of maintenance schedule :)

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  Před 3 lety

That's not a model that was made for a lot of cold camp use in mind. Best you can do is potentially add a 2nd dehumidifier and perhaps some of those "Damp Rid" buckets to keep the moisture down.
The good news is you'll have to really let that go a long, long time with the RV feeling like a sauna to really mess anything up. Just keep doing what you're doing, but consider doing a little more of it.
Try to keep things like cooking in the camper to a minimum.
