Own this in the Baja. LOVE it. Use it 2 months of the year - one month in spring, one in fall for Steelheading. Just me and my lab. Shower regularly, bathroom, space to store my fly tying gear and materials, great counter space for food prep, adequate propane fridge space, AND clearance to get to my favourite riverside spots without tearing the tanks off. I’m 6’2”, 230 pds. Lower bunk very comfortable. Don’t have to remake the bed/table every night/morning. Fish 12 hour days, come back to this RV for dinner, hot shower, meal, and an evening of scotch and fly tying with the lab in dry warmth before retiring.

My thoughts exactly. This Jayco is great and my grandparents hauled us all over the place in something about this size. We were comfortable and had an amazing time. Seriously my very best childhood memories were with 6-8 of us piled in one of these things. If we didn't have enough sleeping space, we made sure to carry a small tent. Don't get me wrong, I love the big fancy units but I could enjoy this unit.

Those trailers? People are still living in many of them and the formaldehyde outgassing has pretty much gone away. Testing reveals most of them were ok after they were sold off and aired out for a while.

Small travel trailers are NOT just for short trips, they are also for people who basically sleep in them and spend rest of time outside. My wife and I took a 13 footer from NH to Alaska one summer and upgraded to a 17 footer and traveled from NH to Montana, Wyoming and Utah the next. Most nights were spent at free or Government campsites. When we did stay at private RV parks I was amazed at number of people with big rigs who only seemed to come out to walk their little dogs.

However our camper could sleep 6. Regular sofa that made into double bed, dinette table setting turned into a double bed and there was a hidden pullout loft over the sofa that slept 2. Had an oven too along with stove. Shower in bathroom. So all in all that older model did offer more than this new one does.

I love these trailers! I had the 17ft bunkhouse model and hauled it on a camping excursion from the Colorado Rockies to the Ozarks in northern Arkansas and back without a single issue, it was ridiculous easy to get in and out of gas stations too! My only gripe being not having an automatic pilot light, I got a little frustrated on an occasion or two having to hand light in the wind but for the price of the rig there is no room for complaint. A roof mount a/c is nice too, a lot of times I've seen side mounts on these little guys and to my experience they only seem to cool what is directly in front of them. When all is said and done I would totally buy this unit, the only thing I would do is drop the table for good, install a standard spring or memory foam mattress in the dining area, and just eat outside or off of tv trays. Nice informative video, thank you.

I agree with making the dining table a permanent bed. It's just me and my teenager and our dogs. We can eat outside or in the winter we can eat on trays. I like this but I think I like the hummingbird just a bit more. My child loves to bake and the hummer comes with a convection oven.

Good review and nice camper. Thing is to tell Big Truck and Big RV: Many of us do not want a huge house on the highway. I don't want to need a monster truck to haul a monster sized camper. I'm researching light weights that will accommodate me and occasionally my daughter and grandson. To me, this is a great starter camper and the perfect size! Don't even have to settle for a wet bath. Cannot be really town by any suv. We have a Jeep Wrangler 2022 4 doors which its max tow capacity is 3500lbs and we cannot town this Jayco trailer. At 3500 lbs you have to consider the weight of the hitch, the passengers and all the cargo you put on it. Results in no room at all for an SUV with 3500 lbs max tow…
