Hi JD, when you opened that front pass through storage the bracket and shelf were laying in there for that side 2 inch receiver. It's a mount for a 22 inch blackstone griddle. Jayco has partnered with them and this is new on most of there units.

I noticed that you don't say much about Dutchman travel trailers. Do they not make them anymore? It's been over 20 yrs. since I had seen them at a Elkhart Ind. RV sales lot. I used to live about 20 miles from Elkhart Ind.
Looks like a 17 Inch blackstone comes with from the box on the bed.
Problem
I'm not sure I'd trust a rock slider that has a "Do not step" sticker on it.
It might just be because its slippery and has nothing to do with structural integrity

What is the point of the rock sliders when the stabilizer jacks and drain tubes extend below them?
It looks a little light-duty.
Stepping inside the first thing i noticed was not the door hinge, but the wall backing peeling away from under the window right by the sink. Put me off right away.
HA! Good eye! That seems common on these big RV lots. These are usually fresh deliveries. Some things come apart a little during shipping. Before final delivery, they go through them thoroughly and fix/mend/staple/nail... whatever. At least... that's my understanding.
Go look at RVs. They all are falling apart before they're sold. With the products designed to be used 40 times before they break. They're a scam. Better off with a nice outfitter's/cabin tent and a generator. Take the amenities with you. Only difference is a bit of set up time

We have this same trailer and have spent over 45 nights in it and towed almost 10000km. Works amazing so far. Been to lots of awesome boondocking off-grid sites and the trailer has held up great! We have a review video up on our channel.
@Munchies we have a 2017 f150 3.5 ecoboost. Pulls it fine but mpg is terrible which is to be expected.
The receiver on the side is for the included black stone grill. We just took delivery of a different Jayco and was happy to see we got the black stone setup instead of the small slide out grill

@@epicwolf I didn’t say it wouldn’t work for a couple. I’m a solo camper so that’s what I notice. Should I have listed every single possible scenario?
If you open up the tv there’s also a shelf. But you can remove it and use the clothing rod to hang clothes! The ottomans can also be used as chairs for the table and the table can be used outside as well. There’s an option for 12v fridge and convection microwave. There’s also small tables that go on the couch for single dining.
There's a bracket that slides into that 2" receiver for the blackstone griddle that was laying on the bed
And you can probably put the extra tv on the bed on a hitch mount also.
The ladder also comes off the unit to be used on the side to access the roof rack which is great for bikes or kayaks!
I purchased this camper back in May and love it. We currently pull it with a 2017 Ram 1500 and it is a smooth ride. The plan in the future is to pull it with a Jeep Gladiator so get it off-road some.

Very well designed travel trailer. For that price, this would be hard to beat for a small family looking for something like this.
We have the same slide in a 2006 jayco bunk house the great thing it adds about 20 inches to the interior. But if you don't want to extend it your trailer is still fully functional. Love it

I love this trailer it has everything the big fridge and freezer is a must imo love the couch and the use of space

One thing I’d personally appreciate in your reviews is description of the length. The overall length that includes hitch to back bumper and main body length. I may be mistaken, but it seems that the overall length provided by manufacturers sometimes includes the hitch and sometimes it is only the body without hitch area. (Likely using wrong terminology).

So, I had a similar setup on the side with the receiver hitch on a different camper. Walmart sells a tailgater receiver mount tv stand. Simply slide it in pin it, connect your wires and there you go. I mounted mine with a little modification to a 2018 rpod 171. Worked great.
Maybe for the receiver I remember someone making some hanging chairs/hammocks that mounted in a receiver hitch I think they made a dual so under the awning and a swinging chair or hammock as well as the grill option love it!
This is the only travel trailer youve shown that I actually like.....love the floor plan and all that storage space

That’s a great design for me. I don’t care for the fake rock sliders, if I can’t step on them then they can’t handle the weight of the trailer 😂. I like the hitch receiver in an odd spot for a custom table setup 👍

This is the perfect RV for me, the wife & our pup. Our Tacoma might struggle pulling this though its the only drawback I have with it. The weights are a little high for what I'd feel comfortable with for my Toyota
I tow a 4500+ lbs Jayco with my Acura MDX, never had a problem. It's rated to tow 5000 (was rated @3500 before I installed the tranny cooler.) A Tacoma should be similar.

One of the best floor plans I've seen in quite a while.
The side receiver is great for the hichfire grill. You have your fridge right there. It’s great for an outdoor kitchen!
First time I’ve seen “rock sliders” mounted above everything vulnerable (jacks, sewer drain, etc)

I like this one. I didn't think I would like it at first because it's has the off road appearance to it. But the floorplan won me over.
Finally! A couch! I much rather have that than an uncomfortable dinette booth table. I actually would love two recliners but since the couch becomes a bed, it’s worth it the way it is. Love the finishes. What’s up with the backsplash under the kitchen window? It looks wrinkled. Impressed with having a glorious dry bath instead of a wet bath! Unbelievable price too.

I'll tell you what more can be asked for, one more axle then when something goes wrong you have that safety cushion. That is the one thing that keeps it from being just about perfect.
Love this floor plan, nice LG. Sofa that could sleep 2 people, love it's prepped for solar. Great sale price. Only thing I would like with kids is a pocket door for more privacy. A curtain just is not enough especially with the couch so close to the bedroom.
I would definitely put a gambrel in that hitch receiver to clean wild game... a great little detail to have in an off-road trailer for hunters.
I'd fab up a bike workstand for that 2" receiver.
This is a similar floorplan to the R-Pod 180 that I like so much, but with the kitchen and seating swapped. It's also a lot heavier than the R-Pod. I believe Jayco offers a version of the Feather Micro that is exactly the same floorplan as the 180.
I rent out a similar trailer and people love it. They are very easy to pull, almost too easy!
I love the layout and the fact that it has a sofa rather than a dinette. To me thst is way more useful. Nice size fridge/freezer. Would prefer it had shower doors to contain water better but love that it is already fitted with solar!
The side mounted 2 inch receiver can handle a flat plate for a Blackstone or there are swing style chairs that are designed for the receiver also one company also makes a hammock holder that fits into the receiver. Also, if someone welds they could make any number of useful camp gadgets that could be mounted there. I think it is a great idea could work on a lot of bigger campers even some fifth wheels.

Im sure that by now you know that the trailer comes with a shelf assembly for the 2” side receiver, on which sits the included Blackstone grill.
The side receiver is used for a trailer jack to help with changing tires

I really like the fact the refrigerator was gas or electric that's a great feature but only big enough for an overnight trip I can't imagine trying to pack a week worth of refrigerator good in there
That 2" receiver on the side of the trailer is perfect for changing a dirt bike tire on... In the dirt bike industry several people attach those receivers after the fact. I really like that feature Jayco did!

I heard there is more storage behind the 12v TV. The JayPort comes with a pedestal for the 17 ' Blackstone grill that comes with the trailer. I really like the JayFeather Micros because I believe I can tow it with my daily driver(2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee) I hope you do a similar video when the 199MBS Jayco JayFeather Micro comes out

Throw a toaster oven in. And it is perfect. I intend to remove our dinnette in our keystone and that sofa (love seat size) is exactly what I would like to put there and use a folding table in front. My husband is a wonderful driver in a sports car in Miami traffic. But in our F150 with the 17 foot trailer, not so much. So I want to stay with our paid for small trailer. Wonderful video.
