- Welcome back to Scrap Mechanic! Today I am exploring a steampunk landship that is actually a giant puzzle/escape room! It has impressive mechanics, design, and programming throughout the entire interior. I have to figure out how to power up the vehicle and set off to freedom.

Scrapman: WHAT THE HELL IS CAUSING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO LEAVE?!
the door: **WHEEEEEEEEEZE**
furry?
Cutie
Wow... I think Scrapman may have been born in a barn! Didn't your parents teach you to shut the door when coming inside?
Honestly, I'm floored by how well-built this escape room was! Great video man!
The Steampunk aesthetic is very cool and I have no biases whatsoever
lol
Same, no biases
Same, definitely no bias here
Name checks out
If you say so
Dang that build really is crazily insanely awesomely amazingly astonishingly brilliantly greatly intricately detailed isn't it
I really enjoyed how everything made logical sense as a part of the vehicle, even the hints. Must've taken a ton of time to design and plan out the whole thing, and even longer to build.
Wha....
"Bdubs, can we ban every synonym that relates to quest?"
Yeah that building sure is crazily insanely awesomely amazingly astonishingly brilliantly greatly intricately maniacly detailed
The person that made this puzzle is on another level puzzle wise and detail wise. Even the entire stage was small and very detailed and well thought out.
His comment is above yours tho
@@Alv_JVI What comment?
Day 5 of asking Scrapman to play Besiege
No, Day 10 of asking scrapman to revisit brick rigs!
no just no besiege sucks.
edit:
not starting a ww3 here but I don't play besiege and I just don't like the gameplay.
also why y'all so aggressive 💀
@@RueI_I looks like someone is very bad at besiege😂
He already did a long time ago
@@tag7746 he already played tear down, he finished the game
Okay this is singlehandedly the best thing I've seen in this game, and a pretty great example of an escape room, where things physically connect and make sense and give those aha moments. There's a lot of pretty cool escape rooms around, but they veeeery often have SOME element of "find the hidden switches in the room" which is just *the* most boring mechanic IMHO. Finding the parts of the puzzle shouldn't be hard, understanding how the elements interact with each other is where the most interesting moments are found.
Looks like a sand crawler from Tattoine
Ye
I was looking for this comment
It would be neat if you checked out some rv's, there are some really cool features in a lot of them! Or maybe like a multiplayer Monday challenge where you build rv's and make challenges for your vehicles? I think you did this challenge but I'm not sure.
Put your stairs down!
Thanks for playing both of my maps scrapman!
The style of the machine reminds me of a game ScrapMan played about a year ago where he was building and then travelling in a steampunk burrowing machine.
Vulcanoids
@@Loderyod Thank you.
Can't wait for someone to try to reproduce this base in survival ;)
@scrapman the yellow light is actually the "side" of the vehicle. If you look at the bearings, and align them with the wheels like you were doing, you should notice its actually a top down view of it.
You were thinking it was the bottom of it, when in reality it was the side, pointing at the door lol.
Love the vids man! Never a dull moment with your content! Thank you as always for the entertaining videos!
Great escape ro... vehicle!
BTW: I really appreciate how perfectly you underline the different situations and moods going on in the scene with music in all your videos. Just like in a good movie. Makes everything even better. Big thanks for that extra effort. Love it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That is such a complex build with so many details. Also Scrapman that mystical music change when you found the purple button man it added so much to the video.
The stapler gun is a simple yet powerful tool that has become a staple (pun intended) of modern office life. At first glance, it may seem like a mundane and utilitarian object, but upon closer examination, it reveals deeper philosophical implications.
The stapler gun can be seen as a symbol of efficiency and productivity, representing the ways in which technology and human ingenuity have come together to create a tool that streamlines and simplifies the task of fastening papers together. It is a prime example of how technology can be used to enhance and facilitate human activity, enabling us to accomplish more in less time and with less effort.
However, the stapler gun can also be viewed as a commentary on the nature of work and the role of technology in society. It is a tool that has become indispensable in many office settings, but it can also be seen as a symbol of the ways in which technology can be used to automate and streamline tasks, potentially leading to the displacement of certain jobs and the loss of human agency and creativity.
In this sense, the stapler gun can be seen as a microcosm of the broader philosophical debates about the relationship between technology and society, and the ways in which technology can both enhance and detract from the human experience.
Overall, the stapler gun may seem like a simple and unassuming object, but it actually reveals deeper philosophical insights about efficiency, productivity, work, and the role of technology in society.
If you want a more spacy sandbox or story ish game try space engineers I personally had alot of fun building large spaceships and I believe its on sale right now
Pog
the construction itself is wonderful, the functionality as an escape room is absolutely amazing
Day 1 mention Starship Evo
Edit: I think the draw door to get in has a color sensor with an engine attached to the door so when ya spin the wheel it opens incrementally. These are so fun to watch!
This demonstrates a valuable life lesson, it being if you are stuck, close the darned door
I think the entrance lowers the way it does because the wheel you were turning is connected to a geneva mechanism or something similar. You can tell because it only moves down a little each time the wheel makes a full rotation. I'm guessing there's another gear that has a higher ratio so it can translate the 45 degree turns in the geneva gear into something more slight, I'm guessing 5 degrees? Of course scrap mechanic isn't perfect so it might be a bit inconsistent.
The mechanical aspect of this challenge is like a clever variation of the "activate the coloured wires" trope used in other challenges.
finally i found somone who still plays scrap mechanic
That was indeed neat AF
The "but no" part made my day, thanks scrapman you always make me smile :3
This reminds me of my toddler learning shapes, everytime you realize the circle goes in the circle hole your amazed
honestly I kinda want this ship to kinda just drive around in, puzzle included just for the detail
These interactive ways of activating things makes me want to see you play Sea of thieves or blackwake
I think in one of his videos, he quickly mentioned that he does play Sea of Thieves and glossed over. I think it is a MM video bcuz one of the bois (kAN I think), said "Alright" and they all cut to what the video is about.
I know it's not your usual kind of video, but have you considered revisiting Midjourney? There's been an amazing update since you did this. Maybe you could try to make Scrap Mechanic or Trailmakers related images.
rip glowbug there will always be a place in my heart for you
"but nooooo"
You should try playing crossout, it's a game where you build your own vehicles to fight online with, there is a story mode too I believe, and people can post their creations on the in game workshop for other people to use. It's super fun, I hope to see you play it in a future video.
Now make this for a Survival Series!
Day 1 one of helping Nighter convince ScrapMan too play Besiege.
I love it! How up to this point? 22:45 he still has not realized that it is outside on the side of the crawler
I think a larger puzzle in this style would be cool
Day one of asking ScrapMan to play Besiege
I love steampunk stuff :D
scrapman is always good at cheesing
The "down" facing one was pointing at the side actually. It was the one lever power plant thing that was outside you did
0:18 And I'm not sure if this cow is supposed to be mooving out of here
10:31 Scrapman: "NOOOO! but cool though, but NOOOOO!"
Awesome video thanks
10:33 poor glowbug
The light facing down on the panel wasn't on the bottom, it was on the side 😂
You should do a Trailmakers new years best builds! Maybe like a week after Jan 1 idk but I would love to see that
I actually played this one before the vid came out! I think ya should've read the workshop description bud.
the glowbug is an hero...it need's a statue
Fun fact: The Creator is actually Colour blind (red-green) so everyone playing maps of his gets so confused but scrap man is an Engineer and has an enormous brain
Beat the civil engineers record by making a plane in a plane in a plane IN A PLANE! In trailmakers
By the way this level was made by the same guy who made the cool spaceship escape one
Scrap man, the tracks of the ship are connected with cardboard, try to break the cardboard to maybe ride the ship.
Lol, today we learn, scrapmans may have been born in a barn. XD
Ferb I know what we're gonna do today! (I'm gonna make a sand crawler from star wars now)
I beleive on the wheel to the door there was a slightly different color which was picked up by a color sensor so as you turned it the color sensor would pick it up and start to open the door but then stop once that part of the wheel was no longer shown
The poor glow bug
The last “but no” at 11:00 has me rolling 😂
This level is great
u should do more workshop hunters with kan like we searched luxury on the workshop
Scrapman. The map is top down.
If only we can make this vehicle move in survival.. nomad will be so fun
Make more trailmakers Evolution
Yes yes yes i love steampunks I'm inlove with it
Will you please bring back Volcanoids and Workshop Hunters
It's been about a year and now I back to your channel scrapman
Srapman please do a technology survival series
You forgot that the panel was a replica of the car that you inside of but on its side so you thought what was on the side was on the bottom
Another youtuber @Real Civil Engineer made a plane in a plane in a plane in trailmakers. I would love to see your take on it and compare to his after ward
Day 10 of asking scrapman to revisit brick rigs
the way he said nooooo is so funny
If you think about it The mini view of the Crawler the yellow as at the side and not the bottom if you look at the "wheel" part
So cool map👍👌🤔🇸🇪
R.I.P glowbug, had to get crushed to start up the steam crawler...
great video!
You havent even watched it yet
Bruh you can't just say good video without watching it. That's like reviewing a movie tou never watched. In spite of that, I agree.
@@captainsnekk i know just saying. All if his vids are great
10:40 Top 10 saddest anime deaths
Dam first video I've watched in a while
same lol
"I feel like i need to put something in there but not me"
Me: ayo
Day 139 of Asking scrapman to make a Machine that make that uses the steal balls and magnets to make the steal ball orbit around your creation with out any thing touching them and try to take out a building with it in instruments of destruction
I was thinking the cow had something to do with it like you needed to make him step on something and that would activate another part
Day 1 of asking scrapman to play stormworks build and rescue again
My god was playing this map day ago and could not figure out where to find the colors for this input wheel
The Steamcrawler looks like the Mammoth from halo 4
It would be interesting if it could move
I tried to play this one, and It felt like trying to find a light blue button in a room of buttons with every shade of blue that existed
Ok I new see that I was supposed to pick up the glow bug but I forgot you can pick it up
So cool! But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
RIP Glowbug
I think the reason the light appeared on the bottom/down was because the door was down
Thanks for the content at your own expense lol 😂
R.I.P glowbug
The lights on the mini version of the landship is sideways the orange light was on the side which it was
The mugs 12:12
What's wrong with the mugs?
rip glow bug / killd by scrapman's hand ):
That Steam crawler IS From mortal engines
wow really cool
Year 1 of asking Scrapman to build the Submarine Tank by Frank Tinsley, or the Baby Assault Tank
R.I.P. glow bug, 2022-2022
I ended 2022 watching this video :) worth it
that's cool vehicle
Agreed
im still mad that they killed the glo bug
Day 1 of asking scrapman to play minecraft
Day 1 of asking Scrapman to finally try out the game Scrap Mechanic. I mean it would just make sense.
Poor glow bug😱😭
