@@billfoulkes6839 because it was for a competition I put a bit more time and effort into it. It took about a month but with lots of breaks between building because of school
@ACorrn I can see that considering how immensely detailed that train engine is.
I can't believe Scrapman didn't do it justice by testing it in a world with tracks.

(also feels like there was definitely something up with the physics since the AD-converter for turning wasn't working fully)
I understand how it could be made and if I tried I probably could make it myself, but I don’t think I would have ever had the idea to do it. The creation is very polished; it’s logic and looks.
Genuinely one of the coolest things I've seen in a game. I can't even comprehend how you got that to work, and that enemy attack animation was bonkers!

I love the new editing style of the new editor. Hiring them was not a mistake in my opinion. One small criticism I have is the timer, I think they could use the speed running timer for comedic effect.
Or he could get a green screen of a guy holding a timer lol

'm the creator of the spaceship at the start, you pressed the 3rd switch down on that control pannel which overides the main thruster switch... perhaps i should have made it red
Great creations, I would love to see more workshop hunters from you and Kan.
I believe it's still called a locomotive or engine when not pulling any coaches, whether hoppers or flats. Only when it is pulling cargo or passengers is the whole body called a train.
Edit: Side note; they also have it labeled the Track Inspection 'Vehicle'
Hey I'm the one who made the (NL) spaceship (btw the NL meant New Legends mod it’s just so I can easily find my creations) but I had noticed that some of the texture like the neon and the glass didn’t have the right texture (you can see it at like 8:30)
God damnit, Doom even found way into Scrap Mechanic
That train gave me the idea that you should make a train series and people could submit their own carriages that they made🤔👍
10:48 this is hard to do at first, but once you figure out raycasting, or whatever its called, it's pretty easy to do!
i said it before, but man, this needs to come to console just as TM. Btw, that last build reminds me of Howls moving castle

Volcanoids got a huge update.
Just came back from a trip, making these days up
Day 101 of asking Scrapman to do a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot set up in the mechanic station, then everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road :)

That Doom Game is the best thing I've seen in Scrap Mechanic
The landship reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle
fun fact : that doom game might seem less impressive if you know logic... the animations are just a sequence triggered by a button press, there's a fairly simple timer to block inputs during animations, the most impressive part might be randomising the opponents if it does that. but in terms of coding there's the map, changing room (a bit complicated but doable) and changing directions (just a 2 bit counter you increase or decrease with left/right) and the shoot button. but still goddamn impressive that works in scrap mechanic (makes it a lot harder to make it compact and optimsied)
At 7:22 to 7:23 in the video my eyes got tripped out from the design inside the ship.

Scrap man I just want to say on trains you should see pipes on the bottom if you delete them you can drive the train anywhere

12:20 the way the doom game works is an the animations are pre-recorded and "hardcoded" in the connections. there is no 3d animation happening at runtime

3:09 I'm pretty sure it was no heavy fuel issue, it's just that the air propulsion (big scary fans) was way off balance. =] (As an engineer I just couldn't bear seeing that creation and not saying this.)

MM idea: race where your build can only contain one of each type of block/part
Flipping the loader made me laugh. I grew up on a dairy farm and remember the one of the rules for the tractors with loaders was to keep the bucket as low as possible.
I would like to live in the walking landship for a day. That would be awesome!
That last build is why I wish the game was on console.

Made a bucket truck, and ran into so many issues with the strength of the pistons being able to pull back. Needed to add blockers at certain points to get them as far out as possible.

I love walking bases not just in scapmechanic, it could be from loving star wars and the walking tanks but I always thought wallers were cooler than treads

do this in trailmakers please. these creations are awesome and my creations wouldnt beat it, but in trailmakers atleast have something worth showing. anyways it would be fun to have it be a series where every other time its in the other game

The doom logic game reminds me heavily of the time minecraft was built in minecraft.
they are in completely different leagues. mc in mc was like the biggest achievement in gaming history, while my doom isn't actually even 3D
