- What would it look like if Radahn and Malenia met again? How good is the most devastating attack in the souls series when we can use it? Does the most powerful boss in the game make for a good build? These are the questions I set out to answer!

Hey peeps! Something I forgot to mention. Both the blood and rot exultation talismans are also a good shout if you don’t want to go for the Prosthesis and don’t want to use waterfowl as much. Hope you like the vid!
How do you have 3 spells i can only have 2 on i cant put the 3rd on

Theres and easy one to get in caelid.
That Radahn fight was maybe the most epic bit of cinematic editing I have ever seen in an Elden Ring youtube video. Truly amazing work. Holy mother of God, I got them heavy chills during the initial bloom.
Every time you got a kill I said, “I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella.” for you 👍🏿
Some of the finishes for those fights were incredible for sure!
You could also replace the Heirloom talisman with the Godskin Swaddling Cloth, to mimic her regen ability, giving you extra buff from doing consecutive attacks.
You can wear Malenia's Winged Helm with the Cleanrot Armor, Tree Sentinel Gauntlets and Tree Sentinel Greaves if you want a cool look and if you want to have over 60 Poise.
To avoid spoilers for folks who haven’t watched yet, I’ll just say the twist on the cosplay in the first remembrance fight blew my mind…
You have such a flair for theatrics man. You are going to make such an accomplished director / cinematographer one day.
Just look at how you are able to constantly reuse the same footage provided and weave completely new stories told and angles we’ve never seen of the same fights

I love how you recreated the establishing lore canon as the first fight of the run.
Using the scarlet aeonia throughout to recreate the parameters which rotted caelid in the first place
Love the editing choices in the Radahn fight. And the way you ended it. Great work.

I'd LOVE to see a Gideon Ofnir build with a different strategy for each boss based on a different spell/incantation each time. That could be the mother of all builds.

I would like to see a build that fits the frenzied flame ending, I always get a tad sad seeing Melina's sacrifice
Sadness is kind of the bread and butter of these gamed
Get FF from the depths (optional: help Hyetta for the seal). Help Millicent to get the needle. Burn the tree with FF and... use the needle in Placidusax arena. There, the tree is burned, the World is saved (needle blocks FF ending), the 3 fingers is forever bound within you (neutralized god threat), you get another ending of your choice. I am disappointed that there is no secret scene for that trickery.
I did see somewhere the canonical ending is using the frenzied flame to burn the erd tree, saving melina, then healing with it at paludisaux arena, and doing to Ranni ending

Cool build! In my Malenia play through I used godskin swaddling cloth to heal on consecutive attacks like Malenia does.

I recently ending up making a build very similar to this, it works really well for what it is and is pretty fun, the only downside being that its so late into the game when you finally get everything together.
I hadn't used Scarlet Aeonia since the game released so nice to see how much better it feels these days.
The Radahn fight was a thing of beauty Miquella would be proud. 🎉

The rotten sword insignia has a weaker verision that still stacks with malenia prosthesis, this means you can get malenia prosthesis in ng and run both, then you upgrade to the better version in ng+.
Rotten sword is better for just consequent hits the prosthesis is worse damage for 5 dex

Being able to play as Malenia in NG+ has got to be the most satisfying playthrough ever. I never used parry but after seeing this, I would consider (I forgot how OP it is)

Hey guys! If you already have the Prosthesis talisman, you can get a weaken version (still useful) of the rotten winged talisman in a Caelid dungeon
A base new game build could be fun for this. Like a lead up build that has the exact stats you need. I would recommend a keen Nagakiba with Bloodflame blade, black flame blade, or electrify armament depending on the boss and the openings you get. Double slash ash of war is the main one but can be switched to unsheathe for bosses with openings better suited for slow strong attacks like Maliketh. It’s amazing for building status and is very adaptable. It can be a quick or slow weapon. Can go between fire and lightning. Can easily take care of big bosses with black flame. And it’s very fun

I play this build currently and chose the clean rot knights armor and Malenias helmet, so I have 55@poise and I think this outfit looks even better

You should also do a magma Wyrm scalesword build. Tons of fun and the weapon art is uninterruptible
That placadusax ending was amazing
I think it'd be interesting to see a NG+ Mohg build. The high arcane and strength with the Dragon Communion Seal and blood flame spells, plus the talismans that buff blood would be super op until the final boss.

Another amazing video to watch. Would you ever consider a redmain knight build. Using the armor with sword and shield or spear and bow. with lions claw and redmain ashes of war. Tribute for the greatest general.
Hey thingfishy when you’re leveling up and you’re near the top (I.e: lvling vigor, mind, end) instead of scrolling all the way down just go to the top and press up. It’s faster
That flaming skull attack is just Rykard's Rancor. And I found that simply picking a direction and sprinting is enough to avoid it.
That intro alone deserved my like.
I was able to get this weapon before finishing my first playthrough! Now I'm thinking about finishing farum azula and the rest of the game with it.. I appreciate the guide!!

Thats what I went with when I did this build recently, gives good damage for Scarlet Aeonia and is nice for the weight as well

Glad you enjoyed it! So there’s quite a lot going on video wise, but I think the extra colour your talking about might just be setting the contrast on the games HDR to 7 or 8 rather than 5. Always had it set that way and got similar comments on the colour even when I was on PS5.
On PC I run every setting on max, I have Reshade installed for a (VERY) slight boost to brightness and contrast, and use a mod that forces the game to load far away textures sooner than it should (meant to be for taking photos, but I don’t notice frame drops leaving it on). PC is Intel 13700k, RTX 4090 and 64GB DDR5.

I think it would be kind of interesting for you to try your hand at a PVP build. Just making one from scratch, starting from either a fresh save, or from a NG+ file.
I know you said you haven’t really done PVP before, but with the level for most competitive PVP being between 125-150 and that’s where most of your runs end at, I just thought it would be pretty interesting to see you give it a try, making a fun PVE and potential PVP build
Up next - have you done a Bloody Helice NG run? If you’re down for another NG+, Dragon King’s Cragblade is surprisingly cool.
to answer the question of the mimic tear waterfoul, no if the player parries it, they cant cancel out of it, just a thing on the mimic’s part however, if it can do that as a npc there could be potential for pvp

Hey Thingfishy, do you know of the commander Niall skip, the one where you can jump of the map to deload the map (similar to early Mohhwyn Palace rune farm).
Noticed near the end of the run arcane was being leveled up. Does that increase the scarlet aeonia damage?
Diarmuid of the Love Spot, either Mythological version or the Fate/Zero version, Either way some sort of dual wield happens between both, Powerstanced Spears and Swords or Sword and Spear dual wield.
I tried the build but I went with a wakizahi for the parry to be less harsh to the aesthetic

I think story mods based on characters in the game is needed. like you play as that nobleman or that captain that has that blind daughter. the soldiers would be friendly to you and you can summon them.
