Two weeks ago we covered the case of Lisa Marie Young. We are back on Vancouver Island this week.
A one and a half hour drive south of Nanaimo to Victoria. Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, British Colombia, Canada. A place where there is one degree of separation between people. Everyone is connected to everyone to a certain extent…

The mother and son are involved, no doubt. Lindsay saw something working for the mother, Shirley, involving drugs. But I find it strange that she did not tell her father exactly what it was. Why was the boyfriend running late and why did he run exactly to the room she was in? Why did he move to the second location while waiting in the car for her to finish? If my girlfriend was worried I would have at a minimum just opened the door and tell her in front of the prospective home buyers that I was waiting outside. But she was murdered so quickly after 5:30 while he is still driving there, and then he just waits with his "friend" in the car to provide the alibi. The drug thugs were just the hired guns that did the killing. But a very interesting plot with many twists. I know Hercule Poirot would have solved it for sure.

The stalling was odd. Since he was also a real estate agent it wouldnt have been odd for him to just walk in and join them for the viewing. I mean not as her boyfriend but as her biz partner.

I've seen several long investigative reports on this case, but this is the best...what I don't understand though is why no one mentioned a vehicle of the couple. The guy behind/ next door also displayed odd, if not, damning behavior. Jason's passivity and stalling in the car outside was also very odd...then to run directly to the BR where she was found. Feel so sorry for Jeff & Buziak family. May justice prevail, and soon.

Great thanks for posting this. I've listened to a lot about this murder. I also live in Victoria. Yes it does sound like the boyfriend / mom definitely had something to do with it. They all seem to know Shady people. The thing that really wears me out is the fact that Lindsay said to her dad she knew something. Maybe Jason. Lindsay would say something especially if she was going to break up with him about what she knew. Also you have to understand the mom Shirley. Apparently didn't like Lindsay. The mom also probably thought how dare you screw over my son like that we've done so much for you.

I'm starting to think it was the brother who actually killed her, he was rejected by lindsay when they first met, which might have given him the anger necessary for the over kill. If at one point they were planning to just have the man see the house, I doubt they would trust one guy to kill her alone, too much chance she could fight back or struggle.
And the sketch of the female suspect looks alot like the mom, obviously wasn't her, but perhaps a close relative like a sister or something. The nose and eyes are eerily similar to hers.

My friends and I made spiritual contact with Lindsays spirit and the boyfriend absolutely set this murder up but the blonde did the actual entire killing by stabbing her repeatedly. He was cheating with this woman and manipulated her to get rid of his gf. She was going to leave her bf Jason who didn't treat her well. He was controlling, overbearing, and extremely jealous. It wasn't a hire professional hit but his mother does know and used her wealth to help cover it up. There's many personal things we all picked up psychically and the father knows and said our predictions were spot on accurate. We did feel she'll get justice but it won't be easy as that guy's family has a lot of money. But the chick that did it carries massive burdens of guilt and knows now that Jason only used her for sex and to carry out this crime so she's almost emotionally breaking at this point carrying this alone years later. We hope she comes forward.

I know there are tons of good police officers and detectives, but too often we see bad ones getting away actions that are indefensible, many have attitudes that are dismissive & elitist while so many communities are suffering from a serious disconnect between their law enforcers and the citizens.
You listen to stories like this, Thomas Brown in Canadian, Texas or others and wonder why the police are so indignant. If you don’t have the manpower and citizens are willing to help, let them. Show them how they can assist. I know we laugh at it, but in the old west they used to deputize individuals for a short period of time in order to investigate or keep the peace. Why not include that practice when it comes to situations like this?
Look at the Thomas Brown case. There the sheriff was arrogant and dismissive when he claimed the kid had run away even though there was a strange connection between police and Thomas. This included one officer whose conduct ended in his firing from one department only to be hire by another. That sheriff, Nathan Lewis, treated the family poorly, wouldn’t release information or footage (because it might implicate an officer’s participation) and kept claiming he couldn’t do anything because Thomas had run away. He claimed he had evidence Thomas had run away from searches on his computer, but refused to share that with Tom’s parents. End result?
Thomas’ remains were recently found and the case was transferred to state authorities.
If police were more willing to work with people the disconnect would be fixed.

The only reason she called her "Mexicans" was because of the weird Spanish accent that she and others thought was fake. Also my dad used to work in the real estate business and it's not uncommon for realtors to save their clients in their agenda with a nickname, an adjective or something that would stick out instead of thier name. When dealing with hundreds of clients, it's much easier to remember a feature or an intresting detail about someone rather than their name.
Maybe if you stopped viewing the world solely through skin colors and race you wouldn't throw random accusations at people, in this case a poor girl that got savagely murdered. Jesus, just because somebody calls me Croatian instead of my name doesn't mean he's in the KKK. Typical liberal bs

@@loritracy1385 ...Or simply Mexicans, as the accent, even though suspicious, was undeniably Spanish. After doing a little digging I found that her father believes the couple could have had a Portuguese or Brazilian accent, which is easily mistaken to a Spanish one. Also the owner of the house (DeSousa) has a very popular portuguese name.
Either way, calling someone by their nationality does in no way make you racist.

the daughter seemed to be going back and forth constantly changing her mind after the bf mother spend thousands of dollars is a red flag for me. That ''disloyalty'' and taking them for granted, abusing their generosity etc
Maybe it pissed them off. No offense but she sounds like she was never satisfied with any bf/changing her mind, looking for better etc. Again thats not something anyone spending a fortune to try and make her happy would go along smoothly.

I suspect that it was more like Lindsay was being strong armed rather than her changing her mind of her own volition to stay in her relationship with Jason. Was there any actual proof that Lindsay asked Jason to meet with her at the viewing for protection, or is that story all just hearsay from various other ppl like Jason and his mother?

Why would she be alarmed that the person had an accent?
What’s with her saying the Mexicans are here.
I mean, yea, she was racist..

You act as if she deserved to be murdered. She wasn't "alarmed" about the accent...she said it was strange, as did her friend. It's documented that she said it sounded 'fake' which was a red flag she didn't act on. You're so obsessed with race that you see the WHOLE world through lens that obviously color every issue or person this way. Pitiful.

She only called them "Mexicans" because she had told her father that the woman's voice sounded kind of Spanish or Spanish origin, but also, thought that it was a fake accent and she couldn't quite pinpoint the accent. I heard that in another interview.

Oh stop it!!!! 🙄 Enough with calling everything "racist" already. If people called me the Czech or Slavic lady, I'm NOT going to say hey, you're racist!!!! It's a DESCRIPTION!!!! Stop being over eager calling people racist for simply describing people.
