- All NEW 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter: Pros And Cons!
Toyota USA launched the all-new 2024 Toyota Tacoma last May 19th as the pioneer of the 4th-generation "Taco." The North American pickup truck community still has to wait until the latter months of 2023 for the first production Tacomas to roll out of dealerships, but many fans are already preparing their budgets.

The more I view the video the more I love the car!
I want a truck thats fit in my garage like the Trailhunter and not Tundra, F-150 or Ram.
Rear legroom is not an issue for most people I know driving Taco's. Who buys a mid-size and then demands that it be spacious? Really?! The back seat will haul my fishing or hunting gear, not people. I have different options for hauling people comfortably if that is what I need. Bare bones full-size trucks start in the mid to high 50's and the sky is the limit from there with trim packages. The Trailhunter is best value for what I need an off-road truck to do.
I have a 2017 TACO TRD Off Road and I took it off road even when new. I don't do mud so mainly rock crawling. Sliders are a must and I don't do anything too stupid since it's my daily driver. I keep my truck nice, but it's a truck and I bought it to use. The backseat will always be too small in a TACO. If you want more leg room you probably need a Tundra. My kids are all grown so no one is in my backseat for too long. It'll be interesting to see what this truck looks like in person.
This is my next car, Trailhunter
Toyota engineers had to make the taco so it would still fit into garages. That was a big requirement among taco owners. So, the overall length was restricted.
I wonder if that flat screen tv retracts into the dash. Seems a bit distracting
The price pushes this up into full-size truck territory idk that I can justify 52k plus 10k dealership Markup for this truck.
Very nice truck I’m going to get one when it comes to the dealership.
It’s a steep price for me but I love the new trail hunter. I wish there were more naturally aspirated engine options. Also the rear leg room doesn’t bother me since I will be driving and the only passengers will mostly likely be my small kid
If it had a MT id be sold!!!!....The fact that I can't get a manual transmission...has me scrounging the country for a 2023 trd pro...its too bad...They really needed to offer a stick in either the Pro or the Trailhuner..
So lets see: looks great but less towing capacity, no stickshift in this version (auto on the trails), tight on seating (rear seats might as well be called storage), yet more HP, lots of plastic and its a $60k cost once your out the door and no leather? I think this is more for show than results. Tundra is a better deal
Leg room in rear seats is too tight , won’t consider upgrading my Tacoma. Maybe a Hybrid thundra
The $62,000 price will be the limiting factor. Leg room in the rear seat is always overblown, its as big as its going to get before becoming a full size truck- simple.
$62000 for tacoma?? Why not F-150 tremor…
@@ew9518ui6😮
.. it won't be that much though. 24' Tacoma is targeting identical pricing to 23'. Trailhunter would push it to maybe $51k at most.
@@mystic7055I think the TH will priced the same as the PRO. They sticker at 50K now.
With 2 kids, the Taco will not be an option as they get bigger. Too bad. I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next 4Runner.
Same. My 3rd gen 4runner is awesome. But it also needs to be bigger.
What sucks is, for that price, it doesn't have more rear leg-room. For me, to switch from a 4 door sports sedan to carry around the family in comfort, then to switch vehicles (especially to a mid size truck with limited leg room) is not appealing. Toyota should consider people in the market to get a maneuverable truck (not full size) to carry 4 adults in comfort.
Granted I have a well maintained 2006 Sequoia I feel secure taking it across the country in, but I would really consider a midsize Tacoma if it had more rear leg room.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Price for the 2023 Tacoma Pro is in the $40K, if the Trail Hunter moves up to the $50K+, then I see other Trucks that offer better value. I would be interested in the Trail Hunter but not at premium prices. At $50 Plus, that puts me in Lariat F150 territory. Hope Toyota keeps it in the $40K range.
Bruh, what you get in a lariat is luxury and is vastly different then what you'd be getting in the Tacoma. Yes you'd be getting higher payload, and towing, but the actual offroad capabilities would be incredibly different. This is a terrible comparison. If you want to compare look at the GMC Canyon at4x which is supposed to start in the 60k range, I'd take this all day over that one.
@@JRHighmore At $60K you are not buying the truck for off-road, but for comfort, convenience and bragging rights. For off road I use my JK short wheel base 4X4, with both front and back 410 differentials. As such the move in marketing the Tacoma at a higher price changes the audience, not good strategy. But then again one can always buy a lower model and use it for light off-road and general daily use.
2023 PRO stickers at $49,530 with not as much as a floor mat option.
@@timalan7406 Thanks.
I just want a good transmission and don't care if it's an 8 or 10 automatic.
My Raptor has a 10 gear transmission and it sucks.
..and if I want to drive a manual, then I'll just buy a Hellcat.
Let’s face reality not many go off roading , they go more on the beach . I’m personally not digging new style
overlanding isnt about towing more than 6k just look at jeeps. we get 2500 lol
Oooo 500 less pound towing capacity. Remember folks, this is a mid-truck. 😅
Edit: Less passenger room means less giving rides to people that refuse to get their license or car. 😂
I am NOT ENTHUSED WITH THE 4 BANGER EVEN WITH A TURBO AND I DO NOT LIKE THE HALFBREAD OR HYBRIDS BECAUSE WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU GO INTO HIGH WATER WILL THE BATERY GO BOOM. I THINK I WILL KEEP MY 22 TACO.
I wouldn't spend this kind of money on a Tacoma to purposely ever submerged the turbos. Not even over the door jamb.
I have a beater for that. When I say beater I mean I don't have a care in the world about trashing my 06 Sequoia.
Yea no thanks
To small for me
That’s what she said !
