      The de-transitioners
      Ever heard of them ?

Weight gain can come from a change in metabolism as well as hrt. Also I didn't start my transition until I was 55! Before that I was crossdressing which did make it easier for my partner to accept. The 29th of September is my one year anniversary of hrt! I am so much happier than I was before! I am looking towards getting some surgeries but that is still in the future. As for age appropriate clothing you can still get the fun clothes just wear them in your home when you have the time.

Flipping hormones have a lot to answer for. Alexis, when I was younger I was so slim and could eat for England, you name it I could shovel it in and not put one ounce on. I wanted to but nope. I was 8st 2...that would go up 5lb at time of the month. I'd be so happy I was putting weight on, then afterwards I'd lose it and I'd be so upset. Whizzing on years, menopause hit, yep the weight has piled on, I walk past a cake and I put 10lb on, lol. You are a beautiful woman, trans or no. You have a bright soul and are as funny as anything. I think the saddest thing is that, as a trans female, you have to become constantly aware of your personal safety. Yes, this is something that biological women grow up with, but trans women kind of have to be extra careful. Not only because you are transitioning to a female who is vulnerable, but also because the transition itself makes you vulnerable. I have no idea if this makes sense, but I hope it does.

Be the woman you always wanted to be, but don't take on the cultural expectation that you should go hungry to achieve a certain look! Women are soft and curvy. Eat healthy / have a healthy lifestyle by all means, but don't be self-conscious about your size or shape. If you clothes don't fit, adjust your wardrobe!
Do you have any good girl friends who can help you with some of the girly aspects of being female? Shopping, advice, moral support?
I imagine there were a lot of sacrifices that you made to follow your heart on your trans journey. I am a biological female who belonged to a fundamentalist church that had a lot of strict rules. When I got divorced, I was shunned and lost all the friends I had, I lost my spiritual support group, I lost my sense of community. It took a long time to recover from those wounds, the shame and guilt, on top of the heart break and grief I was going through.

Drag yourself to reality FEMALES don’t have a penis. Penises do not deliver eggs, they deliver sperm and Alexis still has his penis and is a 100% genetic male even Alexis admits his male biology.
A male who dresses in female designated clothing or who wears a female type hairstyle is not a woman. He’s a man who either identifies with women more than men or he has a sexual fetish. That’s it. That’s all it boils down to. His brain isn’t female, his brain is male because it resides in a male body. His behavior may be atypical though. He may be quite effeminate in behavior but this doesn’t make him female, no matter how strongly he wishes to be female.

@@mystic22g4 No it doesnt your right, it involves either becoming a woman after being born female or becoming a woman after being born male. Neither situations involves 'claiming' both circumstances are REAL women x

@@BeingBriony Artificial plastic flowers can look like the real thing but it isn’t. A woman is an adult female and this occurs only in biological women who grow into adulthood. A biological male emulating female sex characteristics by way of blocking their male hormones, taking female hormones and having feminizing surgeries in order to claim the gender of woman ARE NOT WOMEN. Everything about them is unnatural. Biological women’s rights is heading to a complete end and in its place fighting for biological men to be recognized as women/female. Transgender women (male) rights takes precedence over biological women/female rights which is why an 18 year old male went into a shower room completely naked exposing his penis to four 14 year adolescent girls with no repercussions. Say good-bye to women’s sports because once allowed in they will dominate, say good bye to privacy because any male will be able to go into any designated spaced labeled women, no need to even transition just say the magic words “I am woman.”

Gender is a horrible concept. It's so limiting and automatically falls into stereotypes and expected behaviours/appearances. Feminine is anything that is female. Masculine is anything that is male.
I still however understand why some people want to adopt or become the other gender.
I have issues with non-binary, agender etc as it implies that male and female are polar opposites when in fact males and females can be extremely similar and should be allowed to exhibit the full range of human behaviours and appearances.
We'd nearly gotten rid of gender in the 80s and 90s but it's back with avengeance.
