You sound like the guy from the Red Green show lol.
@@TonyM-zi9rq He does doesn't he? I'm surprised anyone remembers that show. They use to air that show on PBS back when I was a teenager.
@@twn5858 I'm 49 and had never watched the show until my Dad last year when he mentioned it before he passed. But yeah he sure does lol.
Got an idea, when you use electric cleaner, have a old dialup modem sound effect for the videos.
If you made a grey tshirt with big nasty in the center that said south main auto around it, id buy it
This is how smoothly I always picture my jobs going. I usually prove myself wrong.
No doubt had a simple brake job, end links job turn into a 4 hr ordeal last week. Or spent 2hrs beating out a kingpin today.
That looked refreshingly straightforward compared to some of the others you've done.
I did not expect to see you here. Hello, sir!
Yep clive but had it been a ford or a VW the torx heads of the bolts would have been all rusted out. Hours of fun for the family is what that is.
Big Clive in the house !
Using Big Nasty for the wiring removal!!! LOVE IT!!
XXX
it was like "Pew" and it broke
Yep!
That made my evening!
Thanks Eric for allowing us to look over your shoulder and learn from a real professional. Your skill and integrity are always evident in your videos.
Finally I can agree with you when you say "If I can do it you can do it" No special tools required so I think I could do that job.
“AND HE WRITES” Love your vijayos, and love the New York Patina! You’re awesome and keep up the good work, “LOVE ALWAYS”
It's nice to hear it as it is. You prove every auto repair you perform. that's why I like your channel. I could care less about the money or perks. You are a genuine mechanic with a fathers background to prove it!
Followed your video, got my new wheel bearing installed without problem. Thank you Sir !
This helped...big time! Had to perform both right and left hub bearing replacement and while I was in there replaced both shock struts - the old fationed way. Removing the spring from the old struts.
Anyway your video helped me save well over $1000.00 dollars.
It's truly amazing the mark-up on this kind of service. Thanks again! 😊
Keep up the great videos, you're making a positive impact, and that's commendable. 👌
Thanks for the video. Mrs 05 frontier started making really bad sounds when turning, got it pretty much nailed down to the front wheel hub/bearing. This video helped a ton.
That appeared to be the easiest wheel bearing I've seen you change.
Back when I was a kid, you just undid the spindle nut and popped the bearings out. Getting the race out was the hard part. But bearings were made to be repacked, and rarely failed.
Loving your work Eric , THANKYOU
Good 'ol Nissan Fontier. I had a lot of trouble undoing that same clip on mine when I was installing the lift kit. Seeing you struggle with it makes me feel better about it.
I wish you were in my town; I would instantly apply at your shop for an apprentice. Learn from the master. But I guess this is the next best thing.
Glad to see you back at it I learned a lot from your video.
Eric good one for the blow torch. Thanks for the video.❤️️
I like how you handled the abs sensor. keeping it real
Another excellent video Eric!
SMA is my valentine cause I love this channel
Awesome. That new brake clean has got some serious power.
I seen you in a magazine at my work and I’m all the way in Alabama keep up the amazing work brother
thats such a great way to loosen those hubs from the knuckle. i've done this once and had to use the ratchet extension and the steering rack press trick.
You make the most awesome video's for all of us in youtube land to enjoy. And that's a fact Jack or Jane depending well we will just leave it at that.
Thanks for the video. Just did my driver's front bearing on my 2WD. I couldn't fit my impact behind the hub, but maybe I didn't turn the wheel enough. It was easier than I thought to use a breaker bar on the hub bolts and caliper torque member bolts. Got the speed sensor clip off with a small needle nose squeezing from the very top. To bust the hub loose I hammered from behind the hub on the rear side (caliper side) of the control arms, but the other side is blocked by the dust plate. I ended up hammering on a 6" or 9" extension against the back of the hub through the sensor cable hole of the dust plate to get it loosen up.
I have watched a hundred of your videos and if I ever own my own shop I would have my big nasty but every time I used it I would have to Blair that music you are the man
Done. You make it look easy Eric.
Excellent work Eric.
As a DIY'er I too have spent longer on connectors than the main job on various repairs. It can be incredibly frustrating. I think there should be a web site devoted to how to undo all the different kinds of connectors on different brands of vehicles. It could be a wiki, where everyone contributes. I think that web site would have tons of traffic if word got out that it existed!
Glad I'm not the only one you had a fit getting that wheel speed sensor unplugged. Took me longer to get that unplugged without breaking it then to replace the hub.
*PERFECT* Valentine's day for me. Wife is out of town, No kids, T-Bone steak for dinner, ❤BiG NaStY❤ and ❤New Brake Cleaner Fire Hose❤ on this gravy repair video. ❤❤ BEST Valentine's Day EVER! ❤❤
7 Days To Die YEAH BUDDY you forgot the beer.
@@robc5955 Would LOVE a beer , however a recovering alcoholic, 9 months sober. Enjoy yourself.
7 Days To Die YEAH BUDDY Good for you! Congratulations on getting sober, keep up the great work!
7 Days To Die YEAH BUDDY ooops not like me to put me size 10s in it, sorry my friend, well done on the abstinence - nice coffee then.
@@robc5955 It was a perfect day with or without a beer. Cheers
Love when Eric says, "Napa...not a sponsor!" Not sure why but it makes me chuckle every time.
I see all the rust on the cars you work on and it reminds me how lucky we are in the south. I bought a 1987 BMW 325i for autocrossing and it had zero rust on it. If that thing were a New York car it would have been to the crusher many years ago.
I really enjoy the videos with air tools over the electric ones.
I've been using the CRC green (non chlorinated) for years... Never had a can spray like that! Im lucky if half the cans in the case even have nozzles.
Rant over, awesome video once again!
It's apparently PowerSquirt technology or something
Great job again like always A+
Love the smell of Fluid Film! I spray it on my biscuits and gravy. lol.
another awesome job by Mr O
13 minutes real-time people this guy is good 👍👍
Cool video thanks now I see what’s Involved in changing them from Byrnes thank you a lot
I've watched several vids for a Nissan Xterra wheel bearing and they all showed the version with the drive axle I found yours and it was the same hub as the one I had for my Xterra. I jacked the car up and it was a cinch. I used hand tools and it still was easy, except for that plug. thank you
my next project is the wheel bearing on my 05 Subaru Forrester
Fantastic sat at home 🏡 on my settee watching Eric O fixing motors lol 😆 Added bonus brake cleaner 👍🏻🇬🇧
The Big Nasty & The Air Compressor!!!! Awesome video!!!
I bought those wizzy wheels you demo’d on another video .. awesome .. they’re also great for scraping paint/prep for painting the house too.
Yourthe best mechanic on CZcams sir !
Love those modular hubs. Hate replacing old school bearings. Four bolts and a toot of brake clean is the way to go.
Best viewing angle of all. 👍
That was a beauty! Thanks for the new "Fire Hydrant" brake cleaner. Hope she makes more appearances! lol
Eric O, you make it look so easy, nice job. Need to go and buy a supply of Break Clean.
That was nice an easy....Thanks for the video.
Great video as always.
Wow, Super Brake Clean!
You cut the ABS wire like a BOSS
Another great video, happy to see a frontier video, tho I might be a little biased being a frontier owner. Being an Okie it blows my mind how much rust you have to deal with.
As always Dr. Eric O. - best on the market :)
excellent, as always!!!!!!!!
Nice and early to watch Eric O show his masterful ways of dealing with cars.
Looking at the suspension parts in general but specifically the lower spring plate on the strut. I would have to ask " Where the Flake did my truck go ? " Nice job.
Pretty simple job there Eric, nice to see some gravy once and a while eh
Eric, I was waiting for the air hammer. This tool works. I align cars with this. Frozen tie rod nuts. I cheat, it's how I bust tie rod ends and ball joints. Carefully.
Been watching every day for months now. Every day I kearn something, If it would get cold enough here in SC I'd order a sweat shirt from ya! Lol!
Big Nasty and CRC brake clean make the world go around. Beautiful video!
Easiest job I’ve seen you do!!
SInce watching your videos I have bought one of those wond lights and a chinese copy of big nasty, both very good tools. I am so jealous of how many tools I see in American workshops that we dont have here in the UK!
I was surprised to see the unit comes with the ABS sensor!
I'm almost disappointed that bearing didn't put up more of a fight. lol. Thanks Eric!
Sweet Sweet Gravy how good it is!!!
Those new CRC cans are pretty sweet! Only sprays for 10 seconds but bet your bottom dollar whatever's on the business end will be clean.
Nice work
Hose pliers are the bomb.
You remind me of my dad replacing vehicle stuff 👍🏼
Eric O. Quote of the day "Two-Wheeler Peelers"; I love it :)
Thanks for the new video. I hardly ever watch tv anymore
top job. thanks.
Just finished a Right front Hub, Caliper and Hose replacement on a 2003 Explorer. What an adventure that was. But as it is a souther vehicle, NO CANCER!!!! Lulz!
dayum that crc is amazingg
Can't wait for that astro prototype to be released. Looks/sounds like a beast. I had the IR one before. It was decent, but couldn't touch brake caliper bracket bolts. This one sounds like it may have some power
Ya made er look easy peasy as usual 🤙
Goin all nascar on the 2 wheel peeler wheel install..love it!
The brake clean looks like a friggin’ firehose!
I don't think it'll extinguish fires.
You can spray a vehicle across the shop!
anti chuckle I’ll give it a shot and report back.🤕
My thoughts exactly. I've never seen a can of brake clean shoot like that before. Wonder if it's a sales strategy? Oh well as long as it works. Happy belated Valentine's day to you Eric and Mrs O.
Just got to that part. Holy hell it is a fire hose.
Just did both on my 07, Frontiers seem to manage rust in the snow belt fairly well.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who struggles with electrical connectors! 😁
The big 2.4 lol! Loving Big Nasty's soundtrack.
Eric O and his entertaining style goes hog wild w the torque bar.
Thanks for the video now I can do it
Hello Mrs. O Hope Mr, O Take you out to a Nice place for Dinner...Happy Valentines Day..
Good job
Brad V
I may be doing just that. With all the rain we're having, and doing this at home, I'll check it soon.
I've just sat down with cuppa and sandwich to watch a professional at work. It looks like another day at the office for Mr. Eric O. But as always a great vid and thanks for the great entertainment. Stevie K
Dam that spray cleaner was at warp 9 :-D
That bearing didn't stand a chance against you lol.
You are the fastest air gunner in the East!
Eric,
Great fix and video - thank you! Near the end of the video I started to think: what if the ABS connector does fit? LOL
SMA#1
God bless
Paul
Great video
If only there was a mechanic like you in northern California.
Eric O with the noisy bearing! It's rare that I get any shaky bearings in the shop. They're usually just noisy with no play. I hate those...
Had a similar issue on mine; noisy as anything, but no play, and no noise with the car in the air and no load on the bearing. A set of chassis ears clipped on each bearing carrier and a quick test drive soon pinpointed the culprit. When stripping the bearing down, there were two massive divots in the ballrace. Probably thanks to all them winter potholes.
ya mine are always pretty tight but noisy as hell!!
Sound effect with brake cleaner had me LOL!
Surprised it didn't shimmy itself to death. Good work man. You have the same discipline that my father taught me when it comes to doing a good complete job and taking care to do it right! I don't trust nobody to touch anything on my ride but if I was dying, I would trust you with it...well, yeah, well ok. Just you though.
Damn, you made that look easy.
Well done Eric,I hope my 2006 dakota 2wh drive is these easy...
That move at 2:30 was just pro.
Not that I don't appreciate the scantool/diagnostics vidoes but I like this sort of videos better.
