When they were giving our lands away for free or little to nothing, it wasn’t to my people. they were giving something away that didn’t belong to them in the first place. Never have we seen it but we still take the time to ask, with no results. I’ll pass soon enough but I have kids and they will have kids. Saying things like my people or us causes division and reinforces racism. We are all humans, the year is 2024, and the future will be what we make it. There are about 2 Billion acres of land in the US, and black people make up 13% of the population. I'd settle for the government dedicating 13% of the land as reparations, which would be nearly 6 acres of land for every black person. I believe that idea would redistribute wealth without crippling the system.
