I have all three straps
1. Alpine loop which is comfortable and don’t leave mark on hand after removing it but removing it is bit hectic and if I remove it quickly than hook dash on display.
It also became wet after gym due to sweating and take bit time to dry.
2. Ocean band loop is great for rainy season, for water activities, for gym and for other activities but it leaves the mark on hand and also bit irritative.
And positive side is that it quickly get out of the hand.
3. Trail loop is great non irritative and don’t leave mark too on hand.
And easy to remove too.
But doesn’t feel much secure as it has velcro strap.
And also it takes time to dry if it became wet.
Thanks for watching and sharing, @mihirdesai103! Best of all worlds. They all serve different purposes well. What colors did you get?
@@Tech4Baba
Orange alphine
Midnight ocean
Blue/Black trail
Great combo of colors. Wear them in good health, @mihirdesai103!
4:02 for people struggling with this protruding part - it shouldn't be the case at all! the loop should just be connected in a different way so that this part is just on the back side of your wrist when you put your hand on a desk (that is, this small loop should be facing the other direction, not left but right when you raise your hand like in the video 4:02); it causes zero inconvenience for me that way!
A black alpine loop would have been the winner for me.
Yeah, that'd be sweet. I'm seeing some black 3rd party ones, amzn.to/3MolnI8. Perhaps I'll give it a try and share my thoughts here. Thanks for watching, Travellereleven!
@@Tech4Baba the problem is that the knock offs aren’t polyester. As in, will not be as fast dry again if they’re getting wet. I gladly pay more for a good material. It still confuses me that Apple only chooses to release 1 ultra band in black, and surprise surprise, that band have the longest delivery time.
That's a great point, Travellereleven! I just shared a video on my experience with them, czcams.com/video/_bLW-nvqAlw/video.html. I tired getting them wet just now and the 3rd-party ones do take longer to dry.
Apple needs to release more all black bands lol I wish every type of band came in black
Thank you so much for the water test on alpine loop. you are the only one who did this in CZcams.
Nice review, very descriptive. Thanks
Nice review, I really like your friendly style. I was indecisive but went for the green alpine loop when ordering, very happy so far
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Björn! Enjoy your new watch. How do you like the Ultra?
truly appreciate your review... I was going to pick the trail loop but seeing your video I'll definitely choose the alpine loop... thanks!

@@Tech4Baba at first I was leaning towards green... but I think starlight would be a good color... still deciding about trail loop though... bt in thinking a good option is I wade on a beach... :)
Straight to the point
Great review - thank you !
Very informative, thank you
Thanks for watching, JMillz512! Which band are you going with for your Ultra?
I bought a black Ocean loop and also an Alpine loop with my Ultra watch. The black silicone Ocean band looked great but after wearing it for a few weeks it felt like a relief to swap it with the Alpine loop. The Alpine loop is a much gentler feel upon your wrist, especially when worn over long hours for sleep monitoring, when the Ocean band leaves me with deep pattern imprints around my wrist--a problem I've never had with either steel or leather bands on vintage collectable timepieces. Will have to try the Trail loop after seeing your neat presentation :-)
Thanks for watching and sharing, @Michael.Chapman! Let me know how it goes with the trail loop after you try it.
You can remedy the tab issue with the Trail Loop by installing the band the other direction. Installing it this direction will put the loop under your wrist rater than on top keeping to more secure and gives you a cleaner look off the band on your wrist.
thanks for adding measurements and the great info! helped me make the choice of the alpine band!
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Charles! Which color did you get?
@@Tech4Baba I got the open loop green, just as you show in the video. One thing to note...i went to watch my daughter's volleyball game and noticed several times while clapping the clasp actually came off! I think i'll take a pair of pliers and close the gap a little more to help with this issue i was having. other than that, the band fit's really well and is super comfortable!
@charles rollins Wow, thanks for sharing. How do you like the Ultra so far?
@@Tech4Baba so far i'm really enjoying to get to know all the features! soooo many!

Thanks for watching, Gary! Which one do you have or plan to get?
@@Tech4Baba I got the trail loop. Seems easier to take on/off and won't get in the way when im on my laptop
Yes, it is. Which color did you get?
@@Tech4Baba Black one. I end up getting a third party ocean band from Amazon though ...easier to clean lol
Great video and cleared many doubts. I have 170mm wrist and went for M/L black/grey trial loop. I think the black/grey complements the titanium body of the watch nicely. Agree with the pull tab which can get caught but guess may not for normal daily wear.
Glad to hear. Thanks for watching and letting me know, Ravi! Yeah, the black/grey trail loop looks nice as well! Enjoy your new watch and band!
Even my wrist is 170mm . Does the watch look very big on 170mm wrist? I am worried
I love the ease of use with trail loop
Yes, the trail loop is much easier to put on! Thanks for watching, @Steve-Cap! Wear your Ultra in good health!
Awesome video! Exactly the kind of camparison I was looking for. Also, such a cute and wholesome channel concept! Tech4Baba
Great review! Went for the ocean band but will order the green alpine loop
Thanks for watching and sharing, Eric! Which color Alpine Loop did you get?
@@Tech4Baba ocean band: blue / alpine loop: will go for the green
Sounds good! Enjoy them! Let me know how you like them.
Really did not like either of them. Alpine feels cheap and the clasp is unnecessary. The trail is a step backwards from the sport loop. It may look nice but I find the sport loop more comfortable. I was surprised to find I like the ocean band the most out of the three.
Thinking same as Eric. Ocean band. I have narrower wrist and the metal that connects to the Watch body bites into my bone and the bands are too thin and light. Ocean band is more balanced weight wise and comfortable. I am surprised as well I would like ocean band.
great review, thanks. I went with the dark trail band on my Ultra and I really love it….have been sleeping with it too without issue…the silicone band on my 7 was not the case…..the alpine seems like a cool look, but, did not go for it as it seemed clumsy to tighten while out riding, running, etc. now considering it….
Thanks for watching and sharing, Francis! Black trail loop has been hard to come by. Glad to hear it's working well for you. Did you end up with an alpine loop, too? For your reference, I tried out much cheaper 3rd-party ones here, czcams.com/video/_bLW-nvqAlw/video.html.
I agree with you. I will get the Alpine green loop
Thanks for watching and sharing, Kurt! Good choice. :-) Let me know how you like it when you get it.
The white trail and loop get real dirty, the orange loop gets dirty also. Not recommended for daily use unless you like cleaning once a week, The trail is most comfortable overall especially sleeping. The Ocean band is best for activities involving water or working outdoors. Trail loop is light and overall pretty good but if you are constantly needing to adjust it is bit of a pain. Get green loop as does not show dirt right away.
Thanks for watching and sharing, JMP! That's a great summary! Which band do you end up wearing the most?
I have the green alpine band for my Apple Watch Ultra as well but I still will mainly use my Nike sport band since it doesn't hold moisture and cannot get stained.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Brock! Yeah, it's great that all the older bands work on the Ultra, too!
I have the orange alpine loop. There are two things I don’t like: 1) it gets dirty quickly and is hard to clean and 2) it can be itchy on yiyr skin. To clean it, I normally put it in the washing machine in a delicates’ bag (to protect other items in the machine). Even still, using a n expensive Meile machine with AutoDos, it still comes out grubby looking. It’s not so much an issue since I only use my AWU for sport as I won’t have an AWU anywhere round my work conversations. I use a Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar as my everyday since it doesn’t have a spycrophone, sorry Microphone, but still notifies me of emails, etc. It also rarely needs charging and is indistinguishable from a “real” watch as it has physical hands and dial.
Just ordered Apple Watch ultra with green Alpine Loop now having second thoughts... how big is the difference in comfort between the two ? (in scale from 1-10) thanks!
I also bought it with the green Alpine Loop, I think the trail loop is the same as the sport loops that I already have for my AW5 only that the trail loop is more expensive
Thanks for watching and sharing, Andrés! Nice choice! How do you like the Ultra so far?
My first favorite band is the ocean band 🖤 (midnight colour), the second is the alpine loop 🤍 (starlight colour), and the last is the trail loop 💙 (blue/gray colour)
Thanks for sharing, SR Channel! How do you like the Ultra so far?
Hi, I subscribe to your channel I really enjoy your video. I have a question when you buy the ultra watch do we have to have cellular data on it or can we use it without the cellular service just like Bluetooth? Thank you 🙏
Actually I decided to buy the apple trail loop in black/grey color and s/m length. I think the m/l was a bit too long. I have a similar size wrist as yours, and the end of the trail loop is right in the middle of my wrist. I've been using it for a week and it doesn't get caught and opened. It's is comfortable to wear, but I like the sophisticated style of the alpine loop. Like them both and will switch between them from time to time. Thanks for this good review, and keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching and the encouragement, Johnny! Yeah, I think the S/M trail loop may be a better fit for my wrist as well. I shared in my other video, czcams.com/video/x32EwQL8PS8/video.html, that I swapped the ends of the trail loop and it no longer gets caught as easily. How do you like the Ultra so far?
I’m getting the new Apple Watch Ultra with Trail Loop
(Blue/Grey)(S/M) for my birthday in January I’m so excited 🥳⌚️
Awesome! That's a great birthday gift. Thanks for watching and sharing, Jay!
@@Tech4Baba can you use this band on series 7&8
Thanks for making this video! Is the trail loop any stretchier than the sport loop, or is the main difference the tab/metal end/width?
Thanks for watching and asking, qwie100! They are about the same in terms of stretchiness. The trail loop is little bit wider. What band(s) do you have or are considering?
Ordered it with the trail band for easier adjusting. Most of the reviews I watched on the alpine had issues on getting the right fit.
Thanks for watching and sharing, twistedvampire333! It is indeed easier to get a good fit with the trail loop! How do you like the Ultra so far?
I have the Trail Loop as well but mine never catches on anything. I have it set up so that the tab end connects to the bottom part of the watch instead of the top part. I also have the tab terminate on the bottom part of my wrist and this set up works quite well for me.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Mike! Yes, I have since then done the same and I think it works much better that way! How do you like your Ultra so far?
what size of Trail loop do you recommend? my wrist size is 160mm and should fit size s/m and m/L
I have the orange Alpine loop in medium. Definitely takes getting used to. I find the Alpine loop the best for me.
Thanks for watching and sharing, @cindymfraser1518! The orange color pops! Have you tried to the Ocean Band, czcams.com/video/Kq1OLHUpn1M/video.html
@@Tech4Baba no I haven’t tried the ocean band. Honestly I don’t like the feel of the silicone type bands. Had the silicone type band on the Series 3 I had. Found it got slippery on my wrist when I’d go mountain biking
are they the small size? I think you will find that the alpine loop, would be less likely to smash against the watch screen if you got the next size up.
My company colors are navy blue and that same ultra orange. So it was a no brainer getting the alpine loop. I clean carpets. It’s almost like nothing is on my wrist.
my wrist size is 16cm, what sizing i use? for alpine loop, thanks.
Very comfy ones both of them, did go for orange alp loop. But like one week and it´s not looking so great so not made for 24/7 and hard use for sure. :)
But from the standard "Ultra" straps the Orange alp. is for sure the one that looks best, and fit the orange details on the watch. :)
Thanks for watching and sharing, Ariozo! Yeah, the orange one pops and matches with the international orange accents on the watch. Are you considering another band since it's not made for 24/7 use?
I have Ocean and Alpine with Trail on the way. I like both and see no reason to not like the Trail as well.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Brent! Which one is your favorite? BTW, I'm looking forward with hope, too (Titus 2:13)! 🙂
Sweat video man, I think I prefer the secure fit of the alpine 😎
Thanks for watching and sharing, Cory! Which color Alpine Loop did you get?
@@Tech4Baba I got the green 😎 💪
@Cory Bourrier Good choice! Enjoy it!
Is it okay to scuba with a trail loop?
You missed the ocean band out .. I love my blue one and picked up a fake trail loop 👍
Thanks for the review! Unfortunately our local Apple Store only had the Alpine and Ocean Loop available for testing. I tend to the Trail Loop - even if it seems to be a bit like the sports loop - but I‘ll have to see and try it in person. If the trail loop is wider and more comfortable, this may be a reason to go with it (…and sell my two sport loops ;-) )
Thanks for watching, Thomas! Yeah, Trail Loops have been harder to come by. It's more comfortable for me to wear than my older sport loops.
i got the ocean loop so i don’t really know how both of these bands feel, but i feel like the alpine is a better option because it’s more secure and unlike the trail loop won’t wear out over time
Thanks for watching and sharing, creedstump06! Which color Ocean Loop did you get? How do you like it so far?
@@Tech4Baba i got the blue one. it’s pretty comfortable. my only problem is it can leave marks on your wrist from the bumps but it’s really no big deal
@creedstump06 Yeah, it is very comfortable. Which bumps are you referring to?
@@Tech4Baba the band has bumps so you could put the clip that secures the band wherever you want

I got both but I do regret the orange although it’s not dirty but it’s easy to get dirty
I got the small alpine loop (only one available)…… It fits my wrist but my hand is to big😢. And it’s very expensive to get a new one but they are nice bands.
I got the orange alpine loop I like it a lot.
Thanks for watching and sharing, @MarcusFenix762! Yes, the orange really pops. Glad they came out with an orange ocean band as well.
Ocean band strangely retains water. I have both the alpine loop and trail band. Both great
Thanks for watching, J D! Have yet to try out the Ocean band but that's good to know. Which band is your favorite?
I will choose the trail loop but in black/gray with the cool orange tab. The alpine loop is cool too but it looks like a Velcro strap, not a watch strap. And the deal breaker is that it will hit the case and glass when you yank it to the end
Thanks for watching and sharing, Species 5618! Yeah, I like the orange tab on the black trail loop. And yes, have to be careful when taking it off. Let me know how you like it when it arrives.
I recommended the Alpine band over others for Ultra watch from Apple. You can wear it anywhere the rest look too cheap.

Got the trail loop after having issues unhooking the alpine loop at the store. Was too embarrassed to have that happen again
I think the tab on the trail band is supposed to sit at the back of your wrist, not front.
Use the alpine loop to run a marathon and it worked well - comfortable with no rubbing.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and sharing, justingalore123! How do you like (or dislike) your Apple Watch Ultra in a marathon?

@Paul Castley I think most of us are using it just as a normal watch. Apple did well with the design. Enjoy the watch, Paul!
Which size for the alpine loop should I choose with a wrist size of 185mm? M or L?
Thanks for watching and asking, Maximilian Railway! Both should work depending on where you'd like the G-hook to end up. I'd go with L to get more slack.
Just ordered Ultra. My wrist is measured 7 inches, around 177 mm. Did I make a mistake by getting the S/M Trail Loop? Is Apple strict on exchanging?
Thanks for watching and asking, BORA BORA! (Love Bora Bora, BTW). It will fit but may be harder to put on/take off. Let me know how it is when you get it. In the US, Apple offers a 2-week returns and refunds polity.
@@Tech4Baba Bought it through my carrier. Will receive tomorrow and will let you know. I read on Reddit that it depends on the employee/store if they will allow exchanges of wrists band only. I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning the whole device.
Good luck with the exchange! I know what you mean.
Just a comment on the sizing. Don't size it by just comparing your wrist size to the specified length on the website. What I found for me was, the S/M would had been fine for my wrist. But when I tried it on at the Apple Store, I couldn't get the watch over my hand (remembering its a loop) so I had to go M/L. But good thing was, the M/L wasn't too big for my wrist.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Samuel! Very good point on the sizing! Which color did you get and how do you like the Ultra?

I totally agree. I think the previous solo loop would work better in most circumstances for me.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Anthony! How do you like the Ultra so far?
Do they have the same width?
Good question, Meff! Yes, they are. Thanks for watching and asking! Let me know which one you end up getting.
I think both the alpine and trail loop is a step backwards. Titanium hooks are an extra complication thats not needed. I think the solo and braided loop are the best straps apple has ever made. When I get the Ultra, that is what I will be using. I might get the oceans loop if anything as I do a lot of outdoor extreme water sports.
Thanks for watching and sharing, Anthony! I have yet to get a solo and braided loop. Was it hard for you to order the right size?

@@Tech4Baba went for the green Alpine loop with the watch. Will get starlight later at some stage and ocean.
@Star1 child. I think I'll do the same. How do you like the Ultra so far?
@@Tech4Baba it’s a good smart watch for what it is. Having twice the brightness, twice the battery life, twice the GPS accuracy (dual band) and premium materials with its Titanium case, made this an absolute no-brainer compared to the standard Series 8.
Of course there are other smart watches out there where the battery lasts several days or even over a week or two (Garmin) in which the Apple Watch Ultra will hit only 2 or 3 days; but these other long life battery watches don’t have cellular phoning and don’t do half as much as the Apple Watch Ultra.
The real genuine ‘milestone’ Apple Watch and iPhone that we’re all waiting for (even if we don’t know it yet), is when they incorporate “solid state” rechargeable batteries with many times the capacity and battery lifespan and microLED displays (not mini LED which is completely different) which eliminate screen-burn legacy and have a superior display quality.
Great analysis, Star1 child! Can't agree more. Looking forward to the day Apple watch can last for days/weeks!
Reverse the loop attachment and the loop is on the far side. Less likely to get caught and pulled.
Thanks for watching and sharing the tip, Chas VS! Will give that a try.
