For some strange reason that never happens but they always guilt trip everyone else into doing it

why does BBC call this a 'migrant crisis', not 'refugee crisis'?..

This disaster brings out the best in ordinary people....and fortunately they are stepping up. We're better than our so called leaders...who have been on holiday throughout this crisis. Mr Cameron ,there has always been a BIG SOCIETY, not the half baked idea you had....and interestingly it points up how little they are needed. Aid is now getting to the refugees from groups that have organised themselves. Who needs politicians.?

+Helen Lomas Rabbi Sacks here is to be commended for his humane reasoning to this. However, I think he is wrong to say this is a crisis which has not been seen before in Europe. Bosnia was a holocaust, a holocaust of white European Muslims, which makes the current migration of the Syrian and Kurdish middle class economic "refugees" pale into insignificance.

10.000 is how much Portugal will take in and we are much more poor...

Since Tony Blair and George Bush increased the instability in the middle east by bombing Iraq I think the US and UK should take some of these refugees. I also agree 10,000 would be an acceptable number but I think it would be unreasonable for the UK to take in hundreds of thousands there simply isn't the room or resources to cope with that number.

+Alex James You make a good point here Alex in that the current crisis has nothing really to do with the US and the UK in this instance, as the people did rebel and Assad is to blame for being the tyrant he is, and sitting in Damascus arrogantly while the country is being laid to waste. However, Alex, you yourself have made some rather ignorant statements yourself particularly about what you regard as being 'Sharia' law, as I can assure you, you porbably know nothing about it. In fact, in 'Sharia law' (as you call it), it is actually against Islamic teachings to rebel against the tyrant leaders if it will bring about a worse situation, which is what we are witnessing today. In saying that, the real destitute people should be aided, directly from the camps after being thoroughly assessed. As for middle class economic migrants who opt to go to Europe - then this is a completely differnt case. Moreover, I've seen some of these migrants running away from getting procedures and so forth which does not strike me as being sincere. Rabbi Sacks here is to be commended for his humane reasoning to this. However, I think he is wrong to say this is a crisis which has not been seen before in Europe. Bosnia was a holocaust, a holocaust of white European Muslims, which makes the current migration of the Syrian and Kurdish middle class economic "refugees" pale into insignificance.

shouldn't British give weapon, and food for refugees
ask them to fight back against ISIS - recover their own nation.
isnt a better solution to such problem
killing two bird with ONE STONE.
when ISIS was defeated in the syria
syrian people wont flock to EU.
