I am so grateful for your work. I'm a family doc. I always refer to local PT's with a script and then send my patients a link to your site to help them learn more, and hopefully be inspired to do their home exercises. I introduce you with your tag line "Most Famous PT's on the internet.... in their opinion" and it always gets a laugh. No, the jokes never get old...
Thank you so much. You are making a huge difference in people's lives.

Thanks, I'm cured. Went to physical therapy for 6 months-- no relief. Did ur test at 9:24 and one of the exercises u demonstrated in a video moving my bad arm up the back of my spine. I used a rubber band from my therapy and slowly pulled my arm up the spine of my back. Doing that exercise for 3 times a day for 3 days - the pain went away. My pain issue was I had pain putting a belt on. I'm a believer in your channel and I spread the word as much as I can. Thank you very much!!

you guys are simply awesome! I fell very hard on my left elbow, could not understand when an hour later my shoulder started acting up. Incredible pain, and a friend's best friend is a chiropractor and physical therapist. She insisted that I go right away into treatment, that I have either a SLAP shoulder or an inpingement. I choosed CZcams and found your channel with your explanations of the anatomy of a shoulder, and your advice how to figure out the kind of injury I have. BINGO! Did some of your recommended exercises, repeatedly, and massaged the sour muscles. Wednesday afternoon the bad fall, Thursday also the upper arm and almost all shoulder muscles started hurting. Thursday was kinda "meh" and still a bit painful, Friday evening pretty much pain free, Saturday completely pain free, able to move my left arm where ever I want and how far up I want. Thank you so much for all your great advice. You 2 deserve a trophy. I have to say that I do stretching on a regular basis, also Yoga and Zoomba, plus at least 2 long daily walks with my dog. I'm not a spring chicken anymore, just want to stay fit as long as possible. It looks it pays off. I can't believe that already after 3 days the pain disappeared. Subscribed.

Thank you both so much for all the helpful information on what to do and what it could be or not. My shoulder was extremely painful one morning and it wouldn't go away. With your tests I discovered that it was one night of sleeping on it 'wrong' that caused the pain. The actual pain went away within a day or so but I didn't realize it because the pain in my wrist from arthritis was so bad it was radiating all the way up to the shoulder. Without your video I wouldn't have figured out what was going on. Saved quite a lot of medical testing costs. Thanks again!

Takes time and stretches. 6 months to half strength back and 12 months to full strength. With this last tear I just followed these guys and stretched and very light weights It’s about 5 months and no pain except slight amount in one position and I’m able to increase the weight but nothing to heavy.

I have had shoulder impingement for over a year. I had cortisone shots in each shoulder then blew off PT thinking I was cured. Huge mistake. I should have taken advantage of the pain relief and started PT immediately. Now I am in PT (with 3rd and best therapist) 2x a week and I'm happy to say that after the 4th week I think I am finally seeing results. I'm sitting here on my couch typing w/o a heating pad wrapped around different parts of my arms. Two orthopedic doctors suggested surgery. Don't do it for this condition. Though it feels like you are doing damage during PT, work through the pain and you will be rewarded.

I have been reviewing ALL your videos on shoulder impingement. I had a MRI in September where they placed my arms up over my head. The pillows under my arms were not adjusted correctly and the iv push with the imaging dye hurt like hell in my left arm. My left shoulder is the worst with pain all down the arm and sometimes in the bicep and sometimes in the tricep and sometines in the deltoid.Raising my arms to wash my hair is painful. Both shoulders audibly pop and crackle My neck feels out of joint also....Have been writing down everything and started with the exercises of tucking my chin and the other one of squeezing my shoulder blades together. It was amazing how my arms felt with just those exercises today.Every time I began to hurt I did 5 reps of each one. I am paying more attention to my posture. I plan on continuing slowly and continuously for the next 4 weeks on just those two doing several sets a day. I am also hoping that I can sleep better with the recommendations you have dfor sleep posture and pillow placement. The chiropractic treatmentsI had in October and November only made everything worse...they used heat packs with a tens unit and some kind of thumping thing on my neck Glad I found you.

Hello guys. Thank you for the good work. My scapular bone is raised past the clavicle bone on my left hand. I do have like a small hill just after my neck. My left arm is weak and has limited movement mainly in the overhead direction. I was born with this condition and the doctor said it was just swollen muscle and would go away. Well, it didnt and I still have it today at 25 years of age. I have visted orthos and they always say the same thing, it is too big a risk to have an operation at this stage as the bone has grown that way for a longtime. My hand hurts when I lift heavy things, try to reach at heights, if it is hanging and if I try to stretch it. What do you guys think about this? Any exercises that you can recommend.?

You're showing the pain lateral shoulder, what if it is anterior down to about half way upper arm, feels like it partially dislocats, so painful if I jerk it suddenly, what could be happening?

I had shoulder pain that eventually woke me up and sent me to the emergency room in tears @48 yrs old. They gave me 30 mg of Toradol and 8 mg of Dexamethasone and one month later the pain gone and my range is soooo much better.

First I'd like to thank you both for helping me, I think you are the greatest and most famous guys on the internet. When you are describing how far you can reach on your back, does that mean with no pain? I'm on the mend now and I can reach much further, but the degree of pain will depend on how far I reach.

@@sallymacgechan8761 I assume you are asking how how much improvement I gained? If so, I never have the amount of pain I had when I started, but sometimes I can feel a little niggling of pain coming back and so I will cut back on exercises and resume the stretches until it's over.

iPooKaePoo that’s what I have. I feel just fine in any position under any workload...but holding my arm straight up hurts. Throwing overhand like a baseball pitcher is nearly impossible.

I will have just finished my 18 physical therapy sessions on Monday. My shoulder has been in pain since April 10, 2015 because of an injury from trying to lift a patient as a CNA. I've had an MRI, x rays of my neck, MRI arthrogram, and had 2 cortisone shots too. Nothing showed up on my tests and the shots didn't help. I go to my doctor the 28th to talk about diagnostic surgery since nothing has helped. My shoulder is so tender that it hurts so much for my therapists to do anything with my shoulder. It gets so tired when I work out at all too. My doctor thinks I have a little bit of impingement and he said I have a grade 1 instability. I'm only 20. Any tips or ideas? My therapist has been having me do a lot of nerve glides

hey i hurt my shoulder 3 years ago i am an avid weight lifter. i felt i sting in my left shoulder. i kept working through the pain. after about a year, i could not do front pull ups with out pain. it hurt so bad for 2 years i could not sleep on it. i have been putting bio freez on it. i stoped working out for a few weeks it got better. but i can do 20 chin ups and do 25 dips and 125 push ups without stoping. i weigh 200lbs 10 % body fat very fit. but my shoulder does not hurt to much anymore . but for 3 years i cant put my hand behind my back. i have done all the rotater cuff tear test. i can work out pain free.. i can do front raises and over haed exercises but laterals hurt a little. i have seen several dotors all of the say i need an mri. one dotor says no tears because i can workout on it. but the other 3 say maybe a tear. i saw a doctor today and he said that i have done 1 of 3 things rotater cuff tear/ labrum tear/ or frozen shoulder. in that oder. i have lost range of motion so i can not put my hand behiond my back. he thinks i tore that rear cuff. please let me know what ya'll think thaks
