I just bought a 1994 Four Winns with 4.3 Cobra Drive. The seller had the prop off and tried to find one for the boat before I left. A couple of the props we tried had splines that matched up but seemed like they wouldn't go all the way down on the shaft and seat close to the lower unit. The gap was 3 or 4 inches. When I got home I tried some props I had at home but the same thing happened. They just don't seat all the way down on the thrust bushing. Thoughts?

I have the same drive on a new to me boat. Current prop is a mercruiser. I bought a Solas and the thrust washer does not fit (way too small). Is that an oem thrust washer?

Where I can get that thrust bushing ?i lost my propellant on the penta 4.3 gl and lost all of it.
I got all the washer and clip and new prop..but it doesn’t come with the bottom thrust brushing.

Thanks Michael! Will be trying this tomorrow, as I hit something I couldnt see, and it ripped one of the blades apart-- Quick question, it also took my skeg out with it too.. do you recommend skegguards or have them welded on?

Here is my main concerns at this point. Your propeller shaft is out of round. Buy this: www.grizzly.com/products/iGaging-1-Dial-Indicator-with-Vise-Grip/T24806?gclid=Cj0KCQjwoInnBRDDARIsANBVyATAgXLcs2rzgtOt2e_HEYLVtqZANXX6qgguTbMnh1EZq9JOkaFl1ysaAtmlEALw_wcB
You need to remove your prop and check and make sure your propeller shaft isn't out of round by more than 4 thousandths. If it is, that needs to be addressed, as it will wreck you lower unit. You put the dial indicator up against the shaft and spin the shaft by hand, keep an eye on the dial. AS for the skegguards , welding isn't recommended. If you hit the skeg again it will just sheer off your skegguard and you can buy another one. If you weld it, the next thing you hit will likely rip off something higher than the weld.

So I have a 1986 omc cobra with a 5.7. Took the prop off for winter. I have all hardware except the spacer that goes between the prop and the castle nut. Any idea of a part number or the correct kit to buy?
